Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Unboxing!

So happy the flip day: I have the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with me here today. As you guys may know, Samson released some foes this week, I got a chance to check out the s, 20s, twenty plus and s twenty ultra, and actually did a video on that so check that out linked below over here to, if you haven't seen that yet, but today I'm looking at the Z flip for the very first time, because I haven't seen this in person or anything at all. Yet so, let's unbox it take this flap off. This is the black one, as you can tell by the box, I think the purple one has a purple Z and the gold one might not be available everywhere or isn't available yet flip. This is actually my official first foldable phone I didn't really get to check out the Samsung fold. I briefly saw it, but this is gonna, be the first official one and I also I want to check out the razor the Motorola one too.

So if you guys want to see this compared to that one leave a like and comment down below, but let's open it wow. This is really exciting, because this is something very new for me. Wow, it's so like tall here. It is I'm. Just going to put this to the side and see what else is in the box.

But this is it wow? It's like a lot thinner and taller than I thought. It would be like I thought, it'd be more like clunky and bulky. If that makes sense, I got a flap or AT&T SIM, the charging, brick nice and black. We have our USB adapter, no headphone jack in case you're wondering, but I do see. AKG earbuds, always a nice little Samsung touch and a USB-C to USB a charging cable and that's it here.

It is, let's take off the plastic, oh my gosh Y. This is fit. Wow, I was not expecting it to be this sleek. Oh, man I'm going to power it on right now, but this is just such a way if you haven't like folded a phone before this is such a weird feeling. That's so crazy to see the words like folding it really like wow I thought it was gonna, be a lot more like thick, and it's not oh whoa.

It shows the logo there when it's powering on one thing, I do notice right off the bat is that the crease is definitely there like, there's no going around it. You definitely see it the light just bounces off of it. No matter what light you're in like I said, I didn't really get to spend that much time with the galaxy fold, but that did have a lot of issues when it first came out, and this is definitely supposed to be built better and from what I can see. It seems like it like. You, don't really see any opening at all in the by the folding mechanism and also there's like barely a gap in between that fold, like there's a tiny bit there, and that's mostly so that you don't slam the glass together.

This is actually glass. It's not like plastic is actual folding glass and when you close it the ends of the phone slap together. But there is like this Basin between just so you don't ruin the glass I guess, so we're all set up and the screen is looking at. Beautiful, is vibrant, colorful, six point, seven inches and OLED. Obviously, symptom displays always look perfect, but the beauty with this one is that you're getting a big screen, but with extra portability since it folds in half and I, don't know how do you guys feel about that? Is it worth the extra hassle having to deal with that crease in the display, and also the extra step of folding the phone just for more portability, I do always say: I prefer a bigger phone, and with this you get that sometimes big phones can be very annoying to deal with, especially being a girl shoutout to Jacqueline for nothing but tech, because she made a great point in hers.

The flip video, where us girls, we don't really get pockets in our pants and when we do, they're really tiny. So this is something that could definitely fit in a tinier pocket and if it doesn't fit in your pocket at least you can throw it in a bag or purse way easier. With the added bonus that you're not gonna, scratch up your display because it's folded in half now, let's watch a video on here to see what that feels like, and this is a CR 10 capable. So you can watch HDR videos on here. I'm just going to play a regular video and see what it feels like.

It definitely feels wider than usual, like it fits this music video very nicely, and it looks good. But again you definitely see that crease, and you also feel that crease, if you're swiping up and down the screen, I mean it looks great other than the crease. Now, naturally, since Samsung released a whole s20 lineup this week, I feel like there's going to be a lot of questions is whether you should pick up an S 20 or the Z flip, and I feel like they're, just two very specific different use cases, because all around the s20 is a better film since there's better cameras better battery and with this you're getting two key things: a lot of portability and something that's just unique and different, so, for instance, with the Galaxy Z flip you're, not getting a K video recording or any crazy 6400 and 8 megapixel camera built-in. But you do get 4k video recording dual 12 megapixel cameras on the back, and since this does fold something that Samsung was actually pitching with this. Is that since it folds it can act as a tripod? So of course we got to try that out.

So let's go into the camera app and see. Selfie oh yeah was also really neat. Is that once you fold it, it splits the viewfinder to the top half, so you're not having to look at the bottom awkwardly? It's just all in the top half of the fold. Wow, let's take the stick, a picture, oh wait can I do that cheese or the is it the 5? Yes, there you go cool. You can also do video as well.

Here's the first video that I'm recording on the Z flip. That's! Actually that's really handy for, like your live-streaming or a video call. How many times is your arm been dead from holding up your phone during a video call, a really long, one at least also when it's in selfie mode? It really feels like a makeup mirror in a way like I can just pull out my lipstick. Bring this up and just touch up. I feel like a lot of people are gonna, make fun of you're not doing your makeup.

It's gonna, it seems like you're, doing your makeup in a way on the flip side. This would also be really handy for the rear cameras. If you're taking a group photo you're on that self, timer put the phone somewhere, and you're good to go and another little handy camera tip with this phone. That I was seeing around is that the screen in the front can act as a viewfinder as well, when you launch the camera Doubleday and there's a viewfinder there. So you could take a picture cheese and there we go guess you just got to make sure you center yourself, because it does take the whole photo.

Even though you don't see the whole photo in that little mini viewfinder. So I don't really know what to expect when checking out this phone, but it's definitely a lot cooler and just more useful than I thought was gonna, be. Let me know what you guys want to see covered in the full review, but something that I'm especially excited to try out is to use the phone in his tripod mode and combine that with night mode, which should be awesome. It's definitely pretty pricey almost $1,400. So it's a very specific phone for specific people, especially if you're really into tech, but overall there's definitely better phone options out there for the money.

I feel like most people wouldn't buy this. My mom definitely wouldn't. But if you want something, that's a little more out of the box and just more of a luxury novelty item I feel like this is perfect for you, but like I said. Definitely let me know in the comments what you want to see in the full review subscribe to stay tuned coming soon, thanks for watching, and I'll see you.
