Sony Xperia 1 II vs Huawei Mate 40 Pro! VERSUS

Hi there, my name is Sam from bros. com and welcome to a new comparison, video between the Huawei Mate 40 pro and the Sony Xperia 1 mark ii. We are comparing both phones in terms of display performance, camera design and battery stay tuned and find out which phone is, in our opinion, the better phone. If you'd like to see more videos like this feel free to subscribe and hit the notification bell, let's start straight away with our review. Let the facts speak display. The Xperia 1 mark ii has a 6.5 inch cinema wide display, which means it has a 21 to 9 aspect ratios. With a 1644 p resolution, it uses a 4k OLED screen which creates crispy sharp images.

The 6.5 inch display, therefore, measures 16.5, centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of an incredible 643 PPI. The screen only has a 60hz refresh rate, but it uses motion blur which creates the look and feel of a 90 hertz display, so the Xperia one mark ii only has a look and feel of 90hz refresh rate, but other than that it has an incredible display. Let's take a look at the mates display. The mate 40 pro has a 6.76 inch display with a 1 344 p resolution. It also uses an old screen which creates very accurate colors.

The 6.76 inch display, therefore, measures 17.17 centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of 456 PPI. The Huawei has a 90 hertz refresh rate. Some would argue that the look and feel of 90hz refresh rate is not the same as actually 90hz. Still we let the Sony Xperia win here. Everything else is just way better than the maze display.

That is why we give this point to the Xperia performance. The Huawei Mate 40 pro has 256 gigabyte internal storage capacity. It is equipped with its in-house produced high silicon, pure 9000 chips and has 8 gigabyte ram. The storage capacity can be expanded with another 256 gigabyte, there's also a 128 gigabyte and a 512 gigabyte version available, but that depends on the country you are in the high silicon. Cure 9000 has a new 5 nanometer process technology, which will be the new standard.

Next up, the opera, the Sony Xperia 1 mark ii has 256 gigabyte internal storage capacity. It is equipped with a superfast Qualcomm snapdragon 865 chips and has 8 gigabyte ram. Dodge capacity can be expanded by up to 1 terabyte. Both have 8 gigabytes of ram, but the Warwick has like mentioned the new technology inside. So let's take them into the an tutu benchmark test and the geek bench 5 test to find out how they both perform.

The tests are divided into three phrases: a performance test of the ram, a test of how the device is handling two-dimensional graphics and an endurance test of how the device is handling 3d, graphics. The second test is from geek bench. This app will measure the performance of our smartphones in terms of CPU and GPU. The new standard is definitely an improvement. The Huawei Mate 40 pro clearly outperforms the Sony Xperia and both benchmark tests.

It therefore takes home the point in this category camera the mate 40 pro uses a 3 rear camera system, an ultra-right with 20 megapixels, a wide with 50 megapixels and a telephoto camera with 12 megapixels. You can find the ultra-right, 30 megapixel front camera in the upper left corner of the screen and a pillbox cut out right next to the 3d depth version camera. It records 4k videos at a maximum of 60 frames. It also has image stabilization for video. The mate works with a co-engineered Lacey camera system, but Sony has advantages too.

Let's take a look. The Sony PR one mark ii has three main cameras: a 60 millimeter ultra-right, a 24 millimeter wide angle and a 70 millimeter telephoto camera. Each camera has a resolution of 12 megapixels. The front camera's resolution is 8 megapixel the Sony Xperia 1 mark ii records 4k videos at a maximum of 60 frames per second, and, of course it has image stabilization for video 2. Both phones have good camera systems but which one is actually the better system.

Let's take it to our camera test and, let's find out which one does a better job. Like I already mentioned, both phones come across with excellent camera features. The mate 40 pro takes great pictures. They are sharp and perfectly in focus with great color rendering the Xperia takes. Also, great pictures, but not quite as good as the mate 40 pros.

The front camera is definitely better on the mate. The mate 40 pro has a 5 volt optical and a 50-fold. Digital zoom feature the Xperia 1 mark ii, on the other hand, has a 3 volt optical and three-fold. Digital zoom feature the Xperia one mark ii, thanks to a resolution of 4k, produces first-class videos with 120 frames per second in 2k mode. You can do some motion videos, but when it comes to slow motion, Huawei sets a tone with 480 frames per second in 1080p mode and up to 3840 frames per second in 720p mode.

Your slow motions are more than a go other than that. It creates great videos with a resolution of 4k. We still like the pro apps on the Sony, because it gives you the possibility to handle your phone somehow like a real camera, not just a camera system on a smartphone, but when it comes to taking good pictures, the mate is simply better. Therefore, the mate 40 pro takes home. This win, but we have to say if you're looking for a camera system with a bit more control, the Sony might be the right choice for you, design.

The Sony Xperia 1 mark ii has a clean design with a glossy finish. The triple camera system is well positioned in the upper left corner on the back of the phone. We noticed that lots of flagship phones have huge camera. Bumps Sony did a good job by reducing theirs to an acceptable amount on this phone. The smartphone weighs 181 gram, it's roughly 16.6 centimeter long, 7.2, centimeter wide and 0.7 centimeter deep. It is water and dust resistant thanks for an ip68 rating.

The Xperia one mark ii has like every modern, smartphone and USB-C connector. You can unlock the phone via fingerprint scanner, which is built into the power button on the right side of the phone. One thing that you cannot find in most of the new flexion phones is an audio jack. The Xperia 1 mark ii still has one which we consider as a bonus point. The Xperia comes with a clean and narrow design.

Now we take a look at the mates design, the Huawei Mate 40 pro has a clean design with a matte finish. The three camera system is well positioned in a ring on the upper center on the back of the phone like most phones, the camera bump is pretty big, but since it is more centered, it tends to wobble less when it lies on a flat surface, the smartphone weighs 212 gram. It is roughly 16.29 centimeter long 7.55, centimeter wide and 0.91 centimeter deep. It has an USB connector and thanks to an ip68 rating, it is water and dust resistant. The mate 40 pro uses a fingerprint scanner which is built into the screen and face recognition technology to unlock the phone.

Both technologies were great in terms of design. We really liked that Huawei tried a new approach with the camera system, and we also liked the rainbow shine metal look. But overall, we like Sony's clean design more over that of the mate, which is why we let it win in this category, but as always, when it comes to design, we let our subjective opinion decide which is a better looking phone. Let us know why you think the mate should have won we'd love to read your opinion in the comments below battery the Sony when fully charged has four thousand million powers on the other end, the mate 40 pro when fully charged has 4 400 William hours. The mate has more William hours and also the efficient new process technology.

Let's take them into our day-to-day usage test to find out if that helps the Huawei to last longer, next to the better performance of the mail. The new chip helps it also to win the battery life comparison, but as always, though, both phones got through a full day of normal usage. It always depends on the way you use your phone and the settings you use it in conclusion: okay, let's break it down together, we have five categories which we are going through right now to collect the points and find the winner, the Sony Xperia one mark ii won the display category, since it has way better resolution and pixel density, despite that it fakes 90hz refresh rate the mate 40 pro with its new process. Technology is unbeatable in the performance category. In this comparison, the mate also took home the camera system category, but when it comes to design, we think that Sony has a better looking phone.

In the end, the Tiwari's Karin processor helps mate also to last longer in the battery life comparison. Overall, the mate won 3 out of 5 points. Therefore, as the winner in this comparison, video, but as always when comparing Huawei's phones, we have to mention that, due to the not existing Google Play Store, it is really nerve-wracking to install apps that you usually use on your phone. Naturally, we review more than these five categories covered here.
