The iPad Pro is undoubtedly one of the most powerful devices on the market, but with 300 standing between the 11 inch, the 12.9 inch, which one is right for you stick around, and we'll answer that question together. The iPad Pro has become increasingly popular among students, especially for note-taking, with apps, like good notes and notability taking over the app market when it comes to digital note-taking computers. I think in the past, for note-taking, so are physical notebooks. A lot of students have moved on to the iPad Pro. For the digital note, taking the most common question that I get asked and the most common question that I've seen being asked the common question that I've asked myself is: do you go for the 11 inch, the 12.9 inch? Usually people think bigger is better well, this case, bigger is 300 more expensive if you're a student, especially if you're paying for it out of your own pocket, then that 300 dollars makes quite a significant difference. So all you beautiful people out there, my name is Solomon the teenager who talks about teenage stuff because there isn't enough of it on the internet.

The iPad videos have been doing really well recently, so I decided to pump out another one because you know views no, but in all seriousness I've used both the 12.9 inch and the 11 inch, and today I'm here to give you my review about which one you should get as a student. You don't know who I am I'm currently a student in the IB diploma program who takes notes exclusively on their iPad using good notes, and I have been doing so for the past half year. I myself have had the same question. Many of you are asking probably the reason why I clicked on this video. Do I go for the 11 inch or do I go for the 12.9 inch? There are a couple factors that you need to consider when making your decision. I think there are a couple main factors that your distance will boil down to the first one being are using it as a standalone device or paired with a computer.

Second, what are you using it for? Third, do you need to be portable? Fourth is multitasking important to you and fifth: do you even really need an iPad Pro for many students? They've already got a laptop they're looking for an iPad exclusively for notes, that's the case. I recommend that you go with the 11-inch iPad Pro, because the main reason I'd get a 12.9 inch is to be able to multitask. But if you're, not using your iPad as a standalone device, and you've got a computer in front of you, where you could see your lecture sites where you can see wherever you're taking down notes from then it's probably the better option to go for the 11-inch iPad Pro I have a computer, I use a computer in school. I pull up my notes on my computer and take them down on my iPad. Hence, I don't need the bigger screen, because I don't need to multitask on my iPad physically, although I can multitask, the smaller screen makes it a little more inconvenient and multitasking on a bigger screen is simply much more efficient, and I'll get the job done much better than the 11 inch.

That being said, though, multitasking is still definitely possible in case that I do not have my laptop with me. I use my iPad for multitasking. I open up my lecture slides on one third of the screen and my note-taking up on two thirds of the screen, and I'm able to work just fine. Furthermore, I really think this should be one of your main deciding factors. A lot of people consider portability to be the main deciding factor, but no, whether you're using it as a standalone device, should definitely be high up there when you're ranking these factors in priority.

The second reason you might want to go for a bigger screen is, if you're into a lot of creative stuff, so if you're, an interior designer or if you're planning, to go into interior design in your university studies or if you're, simply an art student, someone who enjoys being creative on their iPad because apps like procreate, really benefit from that larger screen, and you'll be able to see your image a lot better. Essentially, it's like painting on a larger canvas. Now take that, as you may, I know, a lot of people will definitely prefer a bigger screen when it comes to more creative work. That being said, though, if you're someone like me who uses the iPad for note, taking primarily the 11 inch, is definitely sufficient 12.9 inch, although it might be a little more convenient because you'll have more space to actually write. The 11-inch does just fine, typically when you're, using an app like good notes you're, usually zoomed in, and you're riding on, a zoomed in screen, so that larger screen won't really make that much of a difference, because your zoom factor is going to be quite similar.

So that's one of the other things you need to consider. If you're an art student go for the larger one, if you're just using it for notes, then I highly suggest that you go for the smaller iPad. The third factor, the one which a lot of people prioritize, is portability. Now I don't think that this should be one of your deciding factors, because the portability on both of the devices is great. The 11 inch- I don't know, maybe, if you're on an airplane seat.

When I take my iPad onto the airplane, I like to watch Netflix, I like to download a lot of shows, and you could have some cramped space so but in terms of how easy it is to carry size wise, it's no different to your standard laptop. The 11 inch comes in weighing at 473 grams, whereas the 12.9 inch comes in weighing at 643. , so there is that difference of just under 200 grams. So that's something you might want to take into consideration. However, portability wise.

It definitely shouldn't be your deciding factor both devices you can take around easily. You can pop in your backpack, but just the 11-inch gives you that much more edge also something else to know if you're walking around with your iPad held in one hand- and you want to take down notes- the 12.9 inch because of its size is probably not going to be ideal for you. Your arm is going to fatigue very quickly, but, as you can see here, the 11-inch iPad Pro. I can hold it in one hand. No problem now guaranteed I'm holding it only for like five seconds, but I assure you'll definitely be able to walk around with the iPad held in hand if you go for the 11 inch 12.9 inch. Probably not the next factor also ties in with multitasking a little, and it's you generally prefer a larger screen.

Look at your phone, for example, if you're someone that tends to typically go for the larger iPhones with the larger Samsung or whatever phone you may have, then you might just be your personal preference to go for a bigger screen and that might or might not translate to the iPad. All depends on your personal preference and that's why you need to go into the store and actually physically hold and feel the iPad of course. Nowadays, that might be a little more difficult and if you do go, please wear a mask, and please wear gloves. Please stay safe, but with a lot of the videos that I see on YouTube. Typically, not a lot of them say whether you just prefer a larger screen.

Some people just like being able to see more or see things better if you're someone who struggles with seeing things, you definitely won't have an issue with the 11 inch, but of course the 12.9 inch is bigger, so things will appear much larger on the 12.9 inch. Now guys before I sign off on this video, a quick little side. Note, you really need to consider whether you actually need an iPad Pro. You really have to consider whether the iPad Pro is even right for you do you need the power you need that extra power that the iPad Pro offers. Instead of you, know getting an iPad Air, the new ones just came out they're incredible.

You don't need to spend those extra two hundred dollars to get the iPad Pro 11 inches from an iPad Air. The new airs that just came out they're incredible they've got touch ID they've got pretty much all the same features of an iPad Pro, except for the fact that the pro has a lot more power. The new airs also just got a new chip, which is a lot faster than the iPad Pro's granted. You won't see much of a difference, but if you're into the tech specs, then the iPad Air has everything new. That apple has been working on recently.

The reason I've delayed this video for so long is because I was waiting for their new keynote, their online keynote for them to release the errors, and my main message is that be careful when you're buying your iPads really consider what you need, because those new errors are fantastic and if you simply don't need the processing power of the pro, then I'd highly recommend that you go for the airs. You can connect the smart keyboard to it. Apple Pencil works with it just fine, it's essentially almost an iPad Pro without the extra juice, the extra processing power. Now guys. I don't want to drag this video on for too long.

I hope that's given you some insight as to what iPad you should get if you've been waiting for my thoughts. My conclusion I'd say: go for the 11-inch if, if you have a computer, but if you want that larger screen that more effective, multitasking, and inevitably you're using the iPad as a standalone device, then definitely go for the 12.9 inch, but also if the price is what's stopping you from getting that 12.9 inch, you probably shouldn't even be considering an iPad Pro, and you'd be much better off with that new iPad Air that just came out, but if your dead set on getting the iPad Pro then have a think about which one is right for you.
