Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in 2021 - (Still Worth It?)

Is, the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe worth buying in 2021. Well in this video, we're going to find out hey everybody. This is Andre here covering for Kevin on the Kevin breeze channel and in this video we're going to be taking a look at the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe these days. You can find this phone unlocked for all major carriers to get more information about this phone be sure to check the link in the description. This link goes directly to Samsung's website, and they usually offer some great trade deals that you can't find anywhere else now. This phone was released in october 2020, but what kind of value are we getting out of it today? Well, we're going to find out this phone has a six and a half inch 120 hertz super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p and a PPI of 407.

The phone has an aspect ratio of 20 by 9 and a screen to body ratio of 84.8 percent. So, as you can tell here, the bezels are very thin, and I really like that it gives the phone a modern appearance. We also have a hole, punch right here for the front facing camera, and the camera is 32 megapixels, so a really powerful camera here, something that you would expect from a flagship phone like this, and I really like the design of the camera too. A lot of the older phones have water drop cameras, and this is definitely not that I really like the design of the hole punch. Camera too.

It gives it a really modern. Look that I think is gonna age really well now this phone has 128 gigabytes of internal storage with micros card expansion, which is perfect. It has a great amount of storage for everything you might need it for, in fact, looking at the entry-level iPhones, which are considerably more than this phone as well, the iPhone starts at 64 gigabytes of internal storage, and it doesn't have the option for micro, SD card expansion so with this phone you're, definitely getting a better value storage wise. To give you a better idea of what the storage on this phone looks like. I have everything I use on a daily basis, downloaded onto the phone and right now.

It's only taking up 22 percent of the phone's storage, so definitely no matter what you're doing, if you only have a few apps on here and don't take a lot of photos or if you have a lot of large apps and do take a lot of photos and videos you're still going to get a great amount of storage, no matter what your situation is, even if you do run out of space. If you like to keep everything on your device, there is the option for micro, SD card expansion. If you do need it now, this phone does support 15 watt wireless charging, which is great, definitely something you would expect from a flagship phone, and it also has a fingerprint scanner. I really like this location for the fingerprint scanner. I know a lot of phones like the Google Pixel have them on the back of the phone still and then there are also phones like the iPhones that don't have fingerprint scanners at all.

Let's go ahead and give it a try. Now, let's try it one more time, as you can see it's very fast and responsive, and again I really like the location. It's convenient and definitely makes sense. Taking a look at the camera setup here we do have a triple camera setup with a 12, megapixel, rear camera, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide camera and an 8 megapixel telephoto camera and the telephoto camera has 3x optical zoom. This is the normal photo mode of the camera and, as you can tell here, the picture is very crisp and definitely has the quality you would expect out of a flagship phone to access the ultrawide.

You just press this button right here in order to access the telephoto camera. You press this button right here and one other really cool thing. I noticed about this phone's camera is there's also live. Focus video now, that's a feature that I don't see in a lot of phones these days, and it's a really nice feature to have, especially for content creation. If you're working with videos a lot you're, definitely going to find at least some use out of this now.

This is the front facing camera, of course, and you can also go into portrait mode on this as well. Portrait mode on the front facing camera is great and with 32 megapixels the image is really crisp as well, and in case you were wondering portrait. Video mode is also available on the front-facing camera, a quick test of the video mode of the camera we are shooting in 4k at 60 frames per second also keep in mind to the audio quality of the device. That was the video mode of the phone of course. One thing I definitely wanted to point out is that that was shot in 4k at 60 frames per second, as said in the video, and it was using the front-facing camera now I don't see a lot of phones that have the same ability in their front-facing camera as they do in their rear camera, and I thought that that was really impressive.

The quality of the picture in that video is so crisp. I was really surprised to see something like that come out of a front-facing camera. In addition to that, the audio quality was great. I personally don't really use headphones or speakers a lot when I'm consuming content from my phone. So I really value a high quality phone speaker, and this phone definitely has that, even as I turned up the volume during the video, the audio didn't really get distorted or fuzzy.

It still sounded really crisp without being too sharp. So I am definitely impressed by that now internally we're getting six gigabytes of ram with the Qualcomm snapdragon 865 processors. So I ran a geek bench 5 benchmark test on this phone, and it has a single core score of 590 and a multi-core score of 32.19. So definitely high scores even for a flagship phone with scores. This high you're very unlikely to have to worry about processing power for really anything, whether you're just using the phone for basic activities or, if you're, doing more high performance activities.

This phone is going to have the processing power. You need no matter what the situation is, although it's great for any situation. I definitely would say if you're looking for a more high performance device to run apps that require a lot of processing power, then this phone is definitely a good option. Now, if your needs are more basic and don't really require a lot, and you don't think that's going to change anytime soon, then this might be a little more phone than you need and in a case like that, it might not make a lot of sense for you to get a device. That's this high end.

Now that we've gone over some specs of the phone. Let's take a closer look at the hardware. So up top we have the slot for the sim card and the micros card, and then our noise-cancelling microphone is right here on the bottom, we have our microphone an USB charging port and the speaker not a lot going on the left side. It is spotless. I definitely must say I'm a big fan of the fact that there's no Bixby button, I know in the older Samsung flagship phones, the Bixby button was there and a lot of smartphones these days.

Even the more high-end ones do have some sort of button. That's like a Bixby Google Assistant. That sort of thing- and I really am not a fan of it at all. I think it's more of a nuisance than anything because for the people who don't use those things they might accidentally press it, and then it'll interrupt whatever they're doing and now in case you're wondering in case you do use Bixby, it's just as easy to access you just press and hold the home button, and it'll come up. I think this simpler design definitely makes it a lot more convenient both for Bixby users and non-binary users, but I'm really curious.

Do you guys actually use Bixby or Google Assistant or whatever equivalent your phone has? Let me know in the comments, because I'm really curious to find out now on the left side of the phone. We have our volume up button, the volume down button and the power button. Now, on the back. Of course, we have our triple camera setup, our flash right here and then there's a Samsung logo. The back is made of a sturdy plastic material, and that is one difference between the Samsung Galaxy, s20 Fe and the regular Samsung Galaxy s20 is that it's actually made of plastic instead of glass.

That being said, I really like the texture of this material. There are a lot of fingerprints on it right now, but you don't really notice them. Overall, the phone has a nice weight to it, and it's made of high-end materials. You can definitely tell by holding it that it's a flagship phone, so that's great, and again I really like the design of the front-facing camera. It makes it look really modern and a lot of Samsung's, older flagship phones, in my opinion, haven't really aged.

Well, I did a video on the Samsung Galaxy s9 the other day and to me personally, it just looks ancient, but with this phone I really think they got it right this time it has a really timeless design, and I think that in five years you're not gonna, look at this phone and be like this thing is ancient. It's still gonna look decently, modern, no matter what direction the evolution of smartphones goes in the future. Now, in conclusion, is this phone worth buying in 2021? I definitely think this phone is still worth buying in 2021 as far as the hardware and specs and really everything goes, there's really nothing. I don't like about this phone. Furthermore, I would say, though, as far as the value that you're going to get from this phone goes, it really depends on your situation and your needs if you're really not gonna, be using the phone for very high-end activities, and you're really just using it as a normal phone.

Furthermore, I don't think you're going to get as much use and value out of this phone, as you would, if you're doing more high content consumption, maybe some video editing and that sort of stuff. Another thing to keep in mind is that, although this phone is really great, it has all the features you might want and need for your daily activities, whether that's basic use or business use or whatever this phone does have a successor, and that is the Samsung Galaxy s21. Now, if you're looking for something with the latest and greatest features, then this phone at this point might not be the one for you, and you might want to take a look at the s21, but at the same time, if you're, just looking for a really high-end phone, that can do everything that you need, then having a successor might actually make this phone provide even greater value to you, because in the smartphone world, prices are always going down as successors become available, and that might actually help you get a better deal on this phone. So all in all, no matter what your situation is. I definitely would say that this phone is absolutely still worth buying in 2021 again for more information about pricing availability and even about the phone itself be sure to check the link in the description.

It goes directly to Samsung's website, and they usually offer some great trade-in deals that you're not going to be able to find anywhere else. So definitely give it a look, but I hope you guys enjoyed the video if you did be sure to leave a thumbs up and subscribe and, as always I'll see you guys in the next one.
