Google Pixel 3 XL Unboxing Extravaganza! By Sypnotix

Welcome to sip noted I'm Alex, and this is Linda hello. What are we doing here today later? We are opening up some pretty big boxes, pretty big boxes in before we get too deep into it. We were sent these two boxes from Google. This is the first time we've ever received anything from any of the big major players in the space. Super, super excited yeah. So for those of you don't know, hashtag team pixel, these are units sent to us by Google no contracts, nothing they're, not gonna, watch this video before we release it or anything like that.

So for disclosure, they're, not we're not getting paid for this, but these are basically review units for us, and we get to keep them. It's the first time, Google's ever sent this to us or any of the big players has any ever sent us something like this right, ghastly exactly, and so we just really want to. Thank you guys. Thank you guys, because this is a huge validation for asset noted. You know, we've been doing this for a couple of years now.

It's really meant a lot. You know we started the channel from the ground up, not knowing what to expect not knowing what was going to happen and we're so grateful, and so appreciative for all the love and support yeah. We've been purchasing all our devices and here and there we would get companies sending us things, but never to this. This is a flagship, Android phone, and we finally got on to a press list a review list, and it's all thanks to you guys all your support, whether you're a new viewer or old viewer. You really helped us validate this channel.

This really was a validating step, and we're so grateful that you guys are on this journey with us. Yeah, credibility wise. This is absolutely huge for us and we really appreciate your continued support so enough of that. What we're going to be doing here is we're going to open these two boxes set from Google when you buy the pixel three of the pixel three excel. It's not gonna.

Look like this I'm! Sorry, it's not coming like something else, and we actually did purchase the pic so three ourselves because that's Lena swipes your phone uses it every single year from the one two to the three, so we actually have a retail version of what it would look like we're, going to unbox that on IG TV as well. So after watching this video going to IG DV, it's sick, no tech and yeah we're posting a lot behind the scenes. A lot of stories, we've got all sorts of posts, yeah a lot of photos, a lot of just test photos using cameras of whatever phone we're using. So we have a lot of stuff that we can't cover on the channel. We're going to have dozens of videos, so we're doing it on Instagram, so I'm sure to check that out.

So at this video we will be unboxing these to check out a MTV for that. Okay later so war. Do you want to start this or they? So we got a pink one, and we got a white one. I'm just going to go on a limb and say this is the not pink, and this is the was the white color called the black one was just black, but the white one. It's clearly whiter.

You were just telling me before we start filming. No, thank you. It's fairly white I think it's clearly way but yeah we are going to unbox see. So, let's, let's start with left one I, don't why you do the honors left the tablet? Alright? Here we go alright drum roll all right, so we open the box. What's inside Lisa you've got a lot of stuff in here inside box number one.

Alright, first off, we've got our team. Pixel user guide right here, very exciting, I'll flip through this later writer. Another team pixel flyer in here Google Pixel 3, is here designed to make everyday more extraordinary cool little postcard, oh, and we have the Google Pixel 3xl in the pink color, that's not paint. So this is the new pink color. We haven't seen one like this on a pixel line.

They got rid of blue, which we normally yeah. There's a gen 1:1. We love the blue color, so yeah, we'll put this in the back. I will put that right here. We also got a Google case right here.

Very nice we've got a B caravan right here. Bk is these: are nice I've had one of these before and I, really like? It's glass inside really, really fun. I like it. It's a fancy, ball yeah I'll tell ya, you got it. It's got a good weight to it.

Oh, whoa. We also have a wallet. Oh, it's got a lot of pockets red cards back. This is a shingle wow. This is nice.

It feels really nice to hear very cool. Very cool. We've also got 18 pixel Fanny bag right here. Super excited I, really like my fanny packs too. So no I'm going to be wearing those.

You can be wearing this when you're taking photos, I will be, and then we also got the new Google Pixel stand as well. This is retail like 90-something dollars, so that's the new, that's the new thing. A lot of people have been talking about this pixel stand. It's basically a QI charging stand we'll take a look at it too, but tiny dollar yeah one wow. This is amazing.

This is such so cool. So that's one box: let's go through the other one, all right, Tim, alright, ok, so one thing we didn't notice is that one seems to be color coded right. Color, you know close to the same colors right like they have the pink water bottle and the pink passport. Oh they're, just not, not picked. Not it's not, not so this one.

We do also have a fanny pack, it's the same: fanny pack, pixel different colors, Oh, Oh, a different color, sorry ones, black ones, gray, and one has the pink. Oh, yeah blue outline. What am I thinking I. Think I'm. Just too excited I'm excited I'm, not really paying attention, so hashtag team picks so exciting news, Google Pixel three is here designed to make every day more extraordinary.

So this is a little cart that they gave us talking about the pic, so I'm welcoming us to hashtag, team picks, also very cool stuff. I think this is the same case except this is for the pixel three. Actually, this is also a pixel three XL, so they sent us to pixel three excels. Fortunately, for you guys, we actually purchased a pixel, so we also have a regular pizza I assume that they sent us since we got two boxes down. One was it XL all is a regular, but it looks like we have to pixel three XLS yeah, very, very cool, but like once again we're going to unbox, the regular pixel three on our Instagram IG TV.

So we will have basically all the Google phones, it's a Google, extravaganza, yeah, so uh this one is in the white color. Clearly white they've, clearly, white I, really like that little green button, which we're gonna show, and then we got a pixel three XL case same as that same pixel stand very nice, so we got two pixel stands and once again this here cool, so I know water, bottle no passport here, but pretty cool another less. We got some really cool stuff from Google and underneath the box we, actually. This is the pixel 3 holding up our team hazel Fox's eye. So this is a regular size, pixel 3 I'm, going to show you guys the flops.

What the retail packaging looks like basically looks the same, but IG TV check that out. Ok, now that we did one unboxing it's time to do more, unboxing yeah, individual inboxes. Of course, we could put the fanny packs aside. Because, there's nothing inside, let's see so double check, nothing inside back pocket for your keys and stuff. So when you're jogging, and you're taking that pixel out for our photos, you can store your charger and stuff like that in here.

So let's put this to the side. First thing: we should open up. Let's check out these cases, just pull it out, I think right. Okay, so we got different designs already for the cases. This is the cases from Google Wow, okay, so this one is Heather day Google, pixel three XL my case, nice paint brush sounds nice, so ? Heather's day once these are the art style ones.

They've got a really nice smooth finish to them. ? only thing that unfortunately covers up is the color, so the power button has colors on it like this one. Has this really cool mint green covers it up of to my case, but we're going to pop these on these are really nice cases. We have had pixel cases, we have yeah from Google, Google, pixel cases every single year for every generation, so really cool. All right next thing, we're gonna, open up is open.

One of these up because there's the same thing, so we'll put this one aside, had to grab the little blade here day, hi so uh, the pixel 3 and the peso 3 XL has wireless charging. We haven't seen that on a Google phone since the Nexus 6, so it's been quite a long time. No, the pixels have had that Nexus once again was the last one to have that. So this is a big return for Google. A lot of us have been asking for it.

How do you open this? Okay, you got the bottom half yeah. You got the top, and I'll pull you grab them top Wow. That was a quick one. So yeah, that's a very interesting looking stent. This thing is being sold out in the Google store and I.

Look at the bottom. Yeah, got a nice coral color to it. So that is the pixel scan nice kind of like matte material here right I. Do wonder if this will get dirty relatively quickly, though so? Well, it's pretty hefty to stuff that right. There I think it looks really nice I, like the white color too, but you know what gets dirty really quickly.

That's the problem with white! Alright! So in these boxes, and we're in this box, I should say: we've got here, looks like our Start Guide, along with some manual in here for the charger, and then we have our charging brick and also the cable yeah. So the charging brick and the cable is USB is the USB CD USB-C. So this charging brick is a USB c1. So it's not a C to a and the USB-C goes in here. So let's pull this off and try it out.

So the USB cable goes in here, just plug it in like that and there's a little section here for you to go through set it nine set it in flat, like that, so you put down your nightstand, etc. , I'm plugging in, and it's a wireless QI charger. So we'll set that aside, we'll put all we'll put our pixels on here to try it out. So why don't we open them together? Here, um Carol, you know, what's four spaces yep open and get that going alright, so it just sliced them both and then open them together. So, while she's doing that, we'll go for some specs really quick, both they some of the same models right uh, they have a six point.

Three-inch screen. This one does not actually tell you the storage on here, so we will have to double-check that once we open them up, like you got this one ?, oh yeah, dice, 64, gigabytes right, I totally glossed through. So this is a 64 gigabyte model. You don't even need the slicer. For this.

It's got like a little tab that you can actually just up see ya. I should've paid more attention who worse unboxed ever okay, so you just pull the tab, and we're good, and now, let's actually open these up there we go. There is the phone. This is the white one, very clean white, looking color. This is the pink the way that's pixel 3xl, we surprisingly or not, surprisingly, have not half the Excel before any pixel line.

Wow, Wow. This reminds me it's like a Stormtrooper love the coral power button, yeah, that's what I'm saying oh I, like the accent color power button, so we got different colors on the power buttons' volume. Rockers are also click, but once you put on the official google case in my case, it covers it. But these are really nice cases. Oh wow, the back is really nice.

So here we go. Here's the case on it. Once again, it covers the accents, a power button which is unfortunate, but once again this is a very, very nice case. Indeed okay, so this does have the snapdragon 845. The case on does have the snapdragon 845 processors in here.

So this is a flagship device. We don't have like that in between flagship processor like in previous generations. Actually Google hasn't done that in a while they've stuff left back in this flagship. Let's see what else is in the box, we can only, you know, need to check one of them. We got a bunch of paperwork, got a sim ejector tool, all their different languages for the startup guy.

We've got some team, pixel stickers, stickers, I, don't remember seeing stickers last year, I, don't remember either well stickers here and then a warranty and then in here this I'm kind of excited about. Furthermore, we lift it, and we got something that we definitely did not have. Last night I'm actually super excited about this. These are the new Pixel Buds, the wired, USB, Pixel Buds yeah, so Google Assistant everything we liked about the wireless one except this one's wired, so great that they included it I'm. Very.

You can also buy this for $30 additional on Google's website, so the Google store sells these individually, and then we have our charging cable, USB, C, 2, USB, C, so USB, USB, C I, know I'm. Not everybody likes that I actually prefer USB seen in a bit USB see the USB seeing I assume the charging. Brick will also be tightly themed type C, you're charging brick, and they do give you some adapters. So we have 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, and we also have a USB USB-C to USP a so cool that is. Everything in the box will set this back aside, and we will take a look at the phone in depth.

Alright. So here we have the Google Pixel 3 XL in not pink, not pink, totally. Think the XL is six point: three inches. It's got a 12 megapixel camera right here, a single camera to a single camera. Let me add sorry for interrupting.

We are at a point where those phones with five cameras- four cameras, three cameras. Those are the norm. This has one camera. One and I've already seen some review saying that this is still the best camera on the market. Right, one camera a lot of software stuff, we're gonna, you wouldn't do a lot of videos, a lot yeah and two cameras in the front, though two cameras in the front cameras, my friend yep.

We also have four gigabytes of RAM in here and the pixel three XL runs a snapdragon 845 very nice and there's also a 34 30 William battery I, really like the way that it feels um. It's got a good amount of weight to it. If you were to compare the back to my pixel to its different materials, definitely yeah! Well, now, there's a lot more glass because of the wireless recharging ability here yeah. So, as you can see it's on the QI charger, so the back needs to be glass. So that's why it feels pretty different compared to the SIM tray.

Also got moved to the bottom. I noticed that okay, yeah, yeah cool, very cool. Why don't we boot one on alright leader now that we have the phone all set up and ready to go? Why don't we take a look at the software? What software are we running on the pixel 3xl, the pixel three XL is running Android, nine, which is PI Android Pi and from the looks of it is kind of just looks like we are running. What we're a question to of the pixel launcher. So I've had this pixel launcher on the central phone you've had it on the pixel tools.

So, if you've updated your phone to answer nine you're kind of accustomed to what the pixel three will look like very smooth transition right, so software wise I, don't really see anything different. You got the swipe up for the recent apps down here and the loss of the recent app on the back here. If you move it up a little there, you go so no recent apps anymore. We've covered this in other videos, I'm sure to check those out with the Android Pi update. As you can see, on the home menu, you don't have the back button.

It only comes up when you need it, and you swipe up. You get the recent apps again. You've got the app drawer yep and a lot of people didn't like this change. I personally, like it, I've gotten used to it, I was a little thrown off at first, but I feel like I've gotten used to it since then, and it's easy mm-hmm, the gesture, the base stuff. What's the other thing, you're telling me off-camera about this phone that drastically affected your view of it, how it looks the notch, the notch? Oh yeah, if you turn the phone a little more to the camera and there we go there's the notch when I powered it on.

This was the first thing. I noticed, I-I've heard a few complaints from others about the notch, but, to be honest, I feel as though it's kind of necessary, because we got two cameras going on up here, and also it's dual front-facing speakers. It sounds like we're giving an excuse a lot of people, don't like nachos I personally for all the phones that we've reviewed so far this year and also last year. I have never really looked at the notch negatively. I've never said that it's a negative for me.

Furthermore, I never dropped a grade for my from because of the notch. It doesn't really bother me if it has a function: I'm, okay, with it I, actually prefer using more of the screen. Of course, they could have done a better job like the me mix three, but actually can use the whole screen. They actually design it and use it like that, but I'm. Okay, with this to be honest, I, don't think it's that bad.

It is a little thick though especially on the camera. It looks a lot thicker, it's a little noticeable yeah, but yet this does have dual front-facing speakers. Why don't we move it? Yeah, pull video or something, so audio is coming from both of these speakers. These potent front-facing speakers soundbars have tasted a bit of a home entertainment market share in recent years, we're seeing off-screen. That is pretty loud.

It's pretty solid, I'm, pretty good audio. What's what would be the reason to upgrade to this? If you already have something that stock Android, something with the of the Android Pi? Probably one of my favorite reasons for having the pixel 2, which is the camera, the camera yeah yeah and the camera, is what Google is touting this year as a big reason why you want to upgrade- and we talked about this when we're opening the box and one camera only has one camera on here, whereas other phones have at least two cameras in 3080 so and we kind of played with this while we're setting it up. It is pretty amazing what this camera can do with only one camera- and this is all software induced, and this year, Google added some additional things. That kind of make this even a better camera, something called top shot. That it is! It's like AI ability where it could choose the best shots for you and there's the new AR features that they kind of change, there's no longer Google, AR or whatever they call it before now.

It's called playground, it's called playground, so we checked out like a Stormtrooper thing last year, which is pretty cool or was it last year it was actually I, don't think he was even last year when the Star Wars movie came I was like the end of last year. What was it last year's last, the last Jedi? Or was it the one before that? But while a Star Wars movie, they had the AR stickers we played with its pretty neat: let's can we go to the selfie um? There's only portrait camera selfie, you flip it. Oh gosh, I know you don't really use smartphones too often, but I, you know, I mean Lena doesn't use the selfie camera. She just turns the phone yeah, so we've we've seen the ultra-wide selfie mode. The ultra-wide selfie cameras before Samsung is very notorious for doing that L.

She does it really well to this year on stock Android on the pixel camera. They also included it. So there we go. That was the unboxing on the pixel three XL reviewers' edition. So, thank you once again to Google for sending us this box.

We never unbox a box like this, a reviewers box with all the goodies in there. That's the first time, there's a little longer of an unboxing video than we usually do. But this is a special one, but just because we got phones from Google review, units from Google don't mean we're. Gonna change, we're still wanna. Stick over our guns.

Well, I! Tell you exactly as it is. Our experience is straight down the line, whether it's popular or unpopular opinion, we're going to tell you it as it is honest reviews. So what are we going to do with the pixel 3 in the pixel 3 XL? Well, I'm going to be reviewing the pixel 3 XL, so yeah Tito we'll be reviewing the pixel, 3 XL and basically anything Google sent us. She will be reviewing it, and I'm going to be reviewing the pixel 3, which once again go to Instagram TV. After this we're going to be unboxing that we purchased that with our own money, so I will be reviewing that later, we'll be reviewing the ones with the team, Google yeah, Google stuffs that you just saw here in this video, so everything I see is unbiased straight to you straight forward.
