Samsung really hasn't been able to keep a very tight lid on its upcoming popular midrange phones the Galaxy A72 and A52 handsets. Particularly, the Galaxy A52 which despite being scheduled to be announced on March 17th at the Unpacked Event, is appearing in a number of leaks in the past few days. We saw hands-on images of the handset, even hands-on videos but today we are seeing a detailed unboxing video of the handset. Yeah, an unboxing video of the handset even before it was launched. Google was known to be the worst at keeping secrets when it comes to their Pixel devices but Samsung be like... Anyway, a YouTuber named Moboaeshtetics has received the Galaxy A52 early and did an ASMR unboxing of the handset.
He also did some gaming tests, I'll link the full video in the description box below, if you're into ASMR stuff I highly recommend you to check him out. That being said, this is the 5G variant of the Galaxy A52 but since the Galaxy A72 shares the same design element, this is what the A72 will also look like. The in-box content includes a 15W charger, even though the handset supports 25W charging speeds, they're only including a 15W charging head. There's a USB C cable, a silicone case, and a manual that no one reads. Coming to the handset, from the front it looks identical to the Galaxy A51 of last year while the back is seeing some changes.
It looks premium in that matte finish, kinda reminiscent of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. As you can see the phone will ship with OneUI 3.1 with Android 11. The biggest highlight is the 120Hz display backed by the Snapdragon 750G processor. He did some gaming test pubg and call of duty to be specific and interestingly PUBG seems to be limited to HD graphics at high frame rates while the Call of duty Mobile is maxing out at ‘Very High’ Graphics. I'm sure that Samsung would enable higher fps before the launch or via a firmware update considering it has a very capable processor to play these games at higher frame rates.
As for the game itself, it seems they are working absolutely fine. The camera features include Single take, 2x optical, 0.5x(ultra-wide), and macro options. Also for the first time, the Galaxy A series phone will have stereo speakers, a feature that remained on their flagships all these years. He tried to show the speaker quality but since it's an ASMR you can't really hear much. With that being said, we also have some pricing information for more markets.
A few weeks ago we got the European prices which showed the prices will remain unchanged compared to last year. Today we have Indian prices for the A52 and A72. And here are the prices. These are for the 4G variants and we still don't know whether or not Samsung would launch the 5G variant of the Galaxy A52. I guess we'll know soon enough come march 17th, do consider subsidizing for all the latest coverage on this handset and as always I'll see you tomorrow... peace out!.
