Galaxy Z Fold3 Vs iPhone 12 Pro Max // The BIGGEST & Baddest!

This video was made possible by visible hit my first link in the description below to learn more the Samsung Galaxy z fold.3 is Samsung's third attempt of making this phone, and this version obviously is better than the first two, but there were significant leaps that occurred between 1 and 3. That makes this phone very, very good, and it's recommended for a lot of those power hungry users, but if you're on the apple side, you want to know how the iPhone 12 Pro max stacks up to this. Well, I got you FAM. My name is Kevin. The tech ninja and we're going to take a look at apple's best offering compared to Samsung's best offering today and of course, in about a couple of months, the iPhone 13 or 12 s or whatever they call it will be coming out too, and I'll be making an updated video make sure to hit subscribe. So you don't miss that one anyways, let's dive into it.

Both of these phones are extremely different. If you've used an iPhone, then any iPhone pretty much feels like the same thing. It feels natural and easy to use. There is corning gorilla glass on the front and on the back, and it also has a stainless steel frame. The phone is also ip68 certification, so it's dust and water resistant.

It's a pretty hefty and wide phone that even with my hands that are, I wouldn't say my hands- are tiny. It's still hard to hold and use as a one-handed friendly phone. I've always been a big phone guy, but for some reason the 12 pro max just became harder to use, maybe due to its squared off design, not really rounded, it doesn't fit in my hand as I think it should, but regardless some people love big phones, and I'm not going to let that get into the way of saying that this is a massive phone. But it's a popular phone, and it's a good phone when closed the FEFO 3 is much smaller. Although it's heavier, I wouldn't define this phone as rugged by any means, but I will say that is less fragile than the years before.

Corning gorilla glass, Vitus here and something called armor aluminum on its hinge, which apparently makes it the strongest material used on any phone impressively though, despite the folding design, you get. Ipx8 certification still doesn't have dust protection, but this is a good start. Of course, when you open up the phone it transforms, it becomes much bigger and also thinner from the closed 16 millimeter thickness to around 6.4. Now, depending on usage, I think each phone is better at certain things on the 12 pro max you're, looking at a 6.7 inch super retina, Dr OLED panel, and it's one of the best on any smartphones, and it comes with scratch resistant ceramic glass, although it still scuffs up easily over time on the fold 3. Well, you have two panels: a smaller and more narrow, 6.2-inch, HD plus super AMOLED cover display and which makes it possible to use it in the closed form factor this narrow and tall space. It does take some time to get used to, but after a couple of hours, you start using it as normal, but if you need the larger panel, this is what makes the z-fold unique.

You just open it up and then there's a huge 6.7 inch canvas at saga plus resolution. Now both panels on the FEFO 3 are also 120 hertz compared to the iPhone's 60 hertz and not everyone can see the difference, but for the people that can see the difference in person that right there makes the phone feel so much smoother. So you guys know I've made the switch to visible mobile about a year ago. It's unlimited nationwide 5g, with a Brine a friend program. You get a month of service for only five dollars, and so does your friend you can do this up to 12 times so for a whole year, you're getting service for five dollars a month.

Visible already has amazing pricing, but once you combine this with party pay, you unlock some amazing savings. Setting this up right from your visible app is as easy as copy and paste hit my link in the description below to get started. Now I do want to add on the phone one and the faux two it had this gooey feeling on the screen, and it's hard to describe, but it made the screen feel very plastic and slippery. This wasn't a good feeling, I would say the fold three made some changes that it gets fewer fingerprints, albeit they're, still there, but it feels like a normal screen. It feels like normal glass, even though it still has a screen protector on there.

It gets much brighter outside the colors pull through, and it's just better to use. Overall, yes, you can still see a crease, but when you're using the phone head on it's barely visible and that layer on the inner display makes it 80 stronger than last year's version, but then we talk about the iPhone. Obviously, the iPhone can't do anything as far as opening and flexing and all those things it's its a very old-school, candy bar style phone. So when it comes to like flexibility and use cases, of course, the fold is going to be up there because of the way you can use it. You can't use any other phone like this, and the last big difference has to be that notch.

The iPhone's display is known for it, and it allows for face ID, but I will say you quickly forget that there's a notch, even there I will say the notch is not annoying as some people would make. It seems the only time it gets in the way is when you're watching like a video, and you switch to full screen. Then you really see it, but beyond that, I think it stays out of the way the Samsung z-fold 3, which already didn't have a big cutout last year, has gone the route of the under display camera and by doing that, the camera cutout is gone, and that area is replaced by a matrix of pixels which disappear entirely in certain use cases when you're watching a video. This does come in handy, and it's kind of a unique feature that not a lot of phones are doing these days. But you know what there's a drastic downside to this too.

It's a four megapixel camera, and it's just not that good, I would say: Samsung doesn't even trust the camera, because you can't unlock the phone using that camera. Just it's not enabled, but we'll talk about this camera in just a few seconds. The zoo 3 has a 12 megapixel cover display camera that 4 megapixel under display camera and a triple 12 megapixel primary setup that 4 megapixel camera isn't up to 2021 standards with pictures turning out airbrushed as soon as they're in low light. The cover display camera. Isn't that bad, although I think it over sharpens my skin a little too much and then the primary setup, and it looks like a typical Samsung phone in good lighting.

It punches it pops. You have great colors and dynamic range and all those things look good, but the performance does drop in low light, and I think it's pretty drastic compared to newer cameras. Remember Samsung is actually using older camera technology in this phone, and it's definitely shining through the triple 12 megapixel camera on the iPhone and the front.12 megapixel camera is just better. It performs more consistently in a wide range of scenarios, especially video, both smartphones record 4k 60, but the iPhone's footage is just more refined for me. Let me know what you think: well, the z-fold 3 really shines.

It has to be productivity and multitasking, given iOS 15 and apple's a14 buying a chip. The phone is very smooth and fast, but I feel like having this huge display is a waste, because you only can do one thing at a time: yeah you can switch between apps but doing more than one app at once. You can't do it at all, whereas in the Galaxy Z fold 3, you can launch multiple apps at one time and use them at the same time. You can resize windows and switch them independently. I mean you have a lot of wiggle room when it comes to performance on this phone and Samsung has no problem allowing you to tap into that power, whereas the a14 benchmarks look great, but you can never tap into that power from apple.

It's always feeling like it's in reserve with apple, though you know, the advantage is the ecosystem. I know that sounds like a cop-out, but if you have more than one Apple device in the house, the way they sync, and then you have you know iMessage and then the iCloud storage and the pricing behind that, and you know home kit. All these things really starts to build this ecosystem, which makes it one hard to leave. It just makes sense as far as what you're paying for all your devices at one time. So it's just that thing.

It's just that ecosystem once you're in the Apple ecosystem, it's really hard to get out, whereas android's ecosystem and or Samsung. If you will,, it's not that refined it's getting there, but there's still some ways you can access all of your Google stuff or your Samsung stuff on an apple product, but I will say, as a singular standalone device. The z-fold 3 is the most powerful device out a singular device that can make calls and do all these things as a phone and then has that tablet functionality and does it at a high clip? Does it with precision? Does it with speed? Yeah, there are no arguments here. There's no debate here about the z-fold three now in terms of battery life, there's a forty-four hundred William cell in the z-fold three versus a 36 87 on the iPhone 12 Pro max, the FEFO, 3 and average usage between displays. You get around 13 to 14 hours and six hours of screen on time for the iPhone I've noticed over the year.

It's decreased more than I thought it would now. I still get a full day. Don't get me wrong? I can use the phone from sun up to sun down, but I was getting eight to nine hours of screen on time, and now I'm in that six to seven. So that's something that maybe I have a defective battery or something should be watching going into the next year. Now the iPhone does support 20 watt, wired charging and up to 15 watt wireless charging using MagSafe while z fold 3 has 25 watt charging 10 watt wireless charging and 4.5 reverse wireless charging to charge your accessories. Of course, none of this stuff comes in the box, so you do have to purchase extra chargers and things like that which I will link down below if you're interested.

So it's a little early for me to give full battery life expectations on the fold as I've only had it for five cycles. I would say heavy users will find themselves reaching for the charger right before bed and for a phone that can do this many things and this big of a screen. I don't think that's a bad thing, but the most important aspect for many people has to be the price. The iPhone 12 Pro max runs you 10.99, which is already a lot of money, whereas the z fold 3. Well, it's going to cost you 1800 bucks.

The added cost for some people who want multitasking is well worth it. Also. The z-fold 3 does offer all these bonuses for trade-ins, and you know Samsung devices become discounted really fast too. If you don't have a trade-in, so you're not going to pay the 1800, but at the same time it is more than the iPhone 12 Pro max. So I think many people when they're making that purchase decision, and they're up in the air between two devices, and it's android and an iPhone.

I always ask: are you on iOS? Are you in the Apple ecosystem? How many devices do you have? That is an important question if your OS agnostic, where it doesn't matter what OS you're on android is much more powerful, and you have a more a variety of different phones, you can actually use. So I like to recommend android to a lot of people who are OS agnostic, but many people. They have a MacBook. They have an iPad, then it's sort of like you know what. Maybe you should consider going the apple route.

Photovolt technology has definitely matured, but I don't think it's really ready to go mainstream on this phone. The Galaxy Z flip, and this is part of Samsung's photo, will line up too. It came out the same time. I think that phone has potential. You can see why I'm actually switching over to this phone for my personal phone, I'll link that video down below and up top in the cards too.

As far as this comparison goes, let me know in the comments what you think: what device would you go if your OS agnostic or what device you're currently rocking right now, anyways guys? Thank you so much for watching I'm Kevin the tech ninja take care, and I'll talk to you guys later peace and once again, a big thanks to visible for sponsoring this channel and my content and hey if you're interested in a phone service make sure you take a look at visible mobile from my link down below.
