Hi guys it's Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again, and I'm here to share my unboxing and first look of the Redmi Note.9T now Xiaomi just sent this one over, it will be launching alongside the Redmi 9t on January 8th- and this basically is the kind of more upscale version of that phone. It does have 5g capability here and let me show you the version. I got Redmi Note: 90 daybreak, purple, 4 gigs of ram 128 gigs of storage, and I tell you this color is perfect, my wife, the moment she saw this was like this is a beautiful color, I'm glad they sent over the purple. She does love it with easy access to the Google apps. You use the most: let's go ahead and unbox this bad boy and the sticker. Here we go and lifting the lid designed by Redmi and there it is the Redmi Note, 9t and quick summary of the specs.
Here we have the density 800u 5g, capable a 7 nanometer process. We have a 48 megapixel high resolution, camera 13 megapixels in display front camera, a 6.53 inch, full HD, plus dot drop display with dual speakers and a 5 000 milliampere high charge cycle battery and 18 watt fast charging. But let's set this aside for now and let me show you what was inside the box here looks like we have our sim injector tool. We have our Redmi Note, 90 user guide and warranty cards, and we also have this very nice, transparent, CPU case pretty standard, but glad to see here. One of these thicker cases included with the Redmi Note 9t and let's see what we have at the bottom, there's a 22.5 watt charger, and we also have our USA to USB charging, cable and tearing off the plastic. Here we go very nice taking off the sticker and there it is guys the Redmi Note 90 in this gorgeous daybreak purple color and just feeling the back of this phone.
It's got that ribbed texture similar to the Redmi 9t. You can definitely get a good grip on this phone. Let's go ahead and turn it on now: Redmi powered by android and first impressions of the design. It's definitely a plastic build, but just like the Poco m3 or the Redmi 9t that I just reviewed earlier, it does have a pretty good feel to it. You know this price point.
I think you would have seen a glossy back instead of glass, and so I'm glad. Instead, they just went with this kind of unibody with this nice kind of ribbed texture, which makes it a little more appealing than glossy plastic. So I'm going to set this one up, real, quick, and then I'll share my first impressions, all right guys so now fully set up here on this phone in terms of design. I've already talked about that a nice plastic build. I do appreciate that the punch hole is also here on the left side.
Furthermore, I know some of you prefer it in the center, but it just looks more modern next to the Poco m3 and the Redmi 9t, which are using that teardrop notch and overall compared to the Redmi Note 9, which I did review earlier this year. This does feel more like an evolution, but the fact that you now have 5g capability on the Redmi Note 9t is a really welcome sight and in terms of display it is an LCD panel and let's see how the ghosting is in terms of the edge of the display here, it looks acceptable. You know you're going to get this on every LCD panel, but it's a nice bright panel, and it's a step above I'd, say of what you see on a Poco m3 and the colors are really vibrant and yes, it only is 60 hertz and I would have loved to see a higher refresh rate on this Redmi Note 90, perhaps later this year, we'll see 90, hertz or even 120hz capable budget phones from Xiaomi, even if they are using LCD performance and with a density 800u that I've tested on a number of these rugged phones. Previously, it's a great chipset guys, and you are getting a lot of bang for the buck in terms of performance. With this Redmi Note, 9t you're also getting 5g capability.
So I think this may be the lowest cost 5g phone that I've definitely tested this year, and it's amazing to see what this density 800u chipset is being able to provide. Now, yes, I would have loved to have seen six gigs of ram on this phone. That is, I would say, probably the biggest bottleneck that you will experience in terms of performance. It's not going to be a multitasking champ, but just like the Redmi 9t for general gaming for these types of basic games, subway surfers playing here on this Redmi Note 9t. It should be able to handle it no problem and the other good bit of news here guys check it out.
L1 security level for wide bind CDM on this Redmi Note 9t. That means you'll have full HD Netflix capability on this phone. That's a great site, considering the price point that this phone is probably going to come out, and since this is 5g capable as well you'll be able to stream those both using Wi-Fi or with your cellular network, no problems and with a 5000mah battery. This phone should go the distance, not maybe to the level of the Redmi 9t, which correction guys it does have 6 000 milliamperes. So that's definitely something to consider if you don't really care about 5g, and you just want the largest battery life but look 5000 milliamperes is still a terrific capacity and this phone should easily last a day and a half two days of use and last but not least, with a 48, megapixel main camera and also this 2 megapixel macro camera on board and let's go ahead and do it.
The classic Frankie tech camera shot with the Redmi Note 9t for first use, pretty quick shutter- and I think you'll have a step above here in terms of experience, just a performance when you're using the camera versus something like the Redmi 9t, which is using the snapdragon 662. And there you see it. Quality looks pretty good, and I think, with regular lighting, this 48 megapixel sensor. It can deliver pretty good results, but at nighttime things do get a little more difficult for this sensor. So just keep that in mind but surprising, to see here this Redmi Note: 9t is capable of 4k 30fps versus the Redmi 9t, which is capped at 1080p 30.
You also have 1080p 60fps. So if you wanted the better capabilities in terms of video recording, this may be a worthy option to consider 4k 30fps here on the Redmi Note 9t. So that's it for this one guys and just like the Redmi 9t. This is looking like a very promising lower mid-range device from Redmi and guys. I did predict that at the end of 2020, we would have seen the first 5g budget phones from Xiaomi.
I guess this is it right here? The Redmi Note 9t coming just a few days after the new year is the first phone in this Redmi Note series to deliver 5g to the masses, a very promising development here from Redmi, but hit me up in the comments. What are your thoughts on this Redmi Note 9t and how amazing is it that we're now seeing 5g on the Redmi? Note series phones incredible hit me up in the comments. I'd love to hear about it.
