PIXEL 3 REVIEW

Hey there guys and welcome to my review of the Google Pixel 3, so I've checked out. Some phones in the past actually I think really. The only phone that I've read on this channel is the iPhone, 7 plus well I traded that in because I felt like it was time for an upgrade and I got a not pink pixel 3, which kind of makes sense, considering that my 7 plus was a rose gold, so I stuck with the pink is colored phone I. Don't know it's arguable if this is actually pink, it's more of a beige color, some people think but anyway, let's take a look at this phone. So the first thing that really stands out to me on this phone is the screen. The screen is very good for a smartphone I definitely can see a difference between it and the 7 plus the pixel 3 is beautiful when it comes to color quality, and it can actually sense the lighting around you and adjust screen coloration to kind of match the lighting and to correct for that, so that the colors always look really bright and just perfect.

It's not technically that accurate, if you're wanting to have just pure color accuracy, but it's a phone I'd rather just look perfect, rather than show accurate colors. So that might be a bit of an issue for you, but in the settings you can turn off that feature I'm leaving it on. You can just set it to just be kind of a generic display and just display whatever color but I. Like the feature, it really makes the colors pop and makes the screen look perfect. Samsung is making this screen.

Google has used them in the past, and they did a great job, and they've done a great job. This time, there's not a lot of improvement over it. It's basically a 1080p screen with a little of an extension to it. So it's a slightly wider screen. Most video players will actually let you zoom in your video to cover the entire screen, or you can leave it with black bars on the side, I kind of like using it zoomed, even though it cuts off the top of the picture.

If it's just a standard, widescreen picture, it still looks perfect and almost gives an effect of a larger screen since its wider, even though you're technically still watching it on normal-sized phone screens, there has been an issue with this screen: the pink stripe where you'll get a pink stripe down the middle of the screen. This usually occurs whenever you drop it- and this is a known issue with Samsung displays its just something that happens to them, and it's not too surprising that this display has it because most Samsung displays that have come before it have had that issue. But it's not really a problem so long as you take care your phone, and you don't drop it or cause any damage like that, some people have been getting the pink stripe with very minimal damage, but so far that hasn't been a major issue for most people. The next thing that stands out to me is definitely the camera or cameras. I should say it still has one on the back.

It's not like iPhones, where they've gone to two cameras. It still has a lot of the features the iPhones have with only one camera, and it just used a software for that, whereas the iPhones are using hardware to simulate up the field, this phone uses software, and it does it very well. I would argue that it's a little less quality on the depth of field than the iPhones do the iPhones. It looks more realistic. This doesn't look super realistic a lot of times whenever it shoots with the depth of field on.

It goes really crazy, with the blur, and sometimes we'll miss objects and not blur them in the background, but you can adjust that and turn it down after you've taken the picture. So you get that plus side whenever you have that type of software implementation, the camera on the back is a 12 point, two megapixel camera. The front cameras are 8 megapixels and there are two of them: there's a standard, just selfie camera and then there's also a wide-angle camera on the front, and this wide-angle camera I think is a really cool feature, because it's basically a selfie stick killer. You can switch to that wide-angle lens to include more people in your selfies or whatever you're taking or if you just want to take a picture of yourself with a wider background, if you're at some beautiful location or something like that, you can switch to that camera and get that wider frame, and it basically defeats having a selfie stick now, which is a good thing, because selfie sticks are really dumb. I really think they're, stupid and people look stupid whenever they're you I would like to provide you guys with some sample pictures from the camera.

So here are some pictures that I've taken just throughout my day, all taken with the pixel three I'm, not editing them at all. It's just all the processing that the phone does itself. This phone also has a great assistant. This assistant by far beats out Siri and Google, has really done a great job with their voice assistant. Now, there's a lot of work to be done on it still, but it definitely can understand you.

The best out of the assistants. I've tried whether that be Syria Lea. Anything like that Google definitely is on top and the cool features they've added on this phone in particular, are the call screening where, whenever you receive a call- and you don't recognize the number, there is another button on the screen that you can pass. The call off to call screening and Google Assistant will essentially talk to that person and try and get to know what they want, and it'll record that message for you, and you can even see the conversation happening on your screen through text. It'll text-to-speech, all the conversation out to you, so you can see it, and you can even end the call if you realize that it's just a telemarketer, and you don't even want to take the message, so you can just reject it, their decline it, and it gets rid of the message- and you don't have to deal with that.

So you don't have to deal with robocalls and answering your phone, not knowing. If it's going to be a robocall or an actual person, you can just pass it off to Google assistant, and they can take care of that. For you another plus side to Google assistant is it can interface with more apps than Siri I know, Siri does not like working with Spotify, but Google Assistant works fine with Spotify, which is really nice since I use Spotify for all of my music listening now, I can just ask my assistant to play certain songs for me, and it's just a lot better than Siri, which C really only works with Apple Music. Now, let's talk about some things. I don't like about this phone.

The non-pink color is a great color, but I really don't think that the orange power button really goes with it. I think they could have gone with something that might match the color or I. Think the mint power button that they included on the white phone would look good on the not pink the orange power button just seems kind of off to me, and it's just kind of a flashy piece on an otherwise elegant phone. Another thing that is a downside to this phone is the back glass, the back glass, the lower portion of it is frosted and that frosting can scratch pretty easily. Luckily, on the not pink and white phones, the scratches don't show up quite as well, but if you get the black phone it will get entirely scratched up and look absolutely terrible.

That's really one of the main drawbacks to this device. Another thing that I don't really like about this phone is the fingerprint reader on the back. I would much prefer it to be on a home button, but since this phone doesn't have a physical home button, I guess that's really. The only place you can put it and that's kind of a fad right now is putting the fingerprint readers on the back of devices. So that's just kind of a personal thing for me, but I still just really don't like that.

So, in conclusion, the pixel 3 is probably the best Android experience you can get, which makes sense since it's from Google, and it almost feels like a blend between an apple, iOS and kind of the just general build quality of the iPhone, with an Android experience, giving you the customized features and everything that you get on an Android, but you just get that great, build quality and just great user experience that you would expect from say like an Apple device. So overall I think it is a great device, and it definitely fits the title of being a flagship, Android device and I think it is probably the best Android device that you can get on the market. Currently. So I hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did go ahead and leave a like on it, if you guys, like the content on this channel in general, go ahead and subscribe and if you have any comments about the pixel 3 go ahead and leave that down in the comment section below. If there's anything, you would like me to talk about or anything I might make a follow-up video, but otherwise that's really all the thoughts that I had for now.

So I will see you guys in the next video.
