Hey, what's going on everybody Caltech here and welcome back to another video, so this video is gonna, be a little different from how I typically make my videos, because, typically I do a lot of editing on my videos and I try to add a lot of different transitions and effects uh. But this video I'm just hitting record I'm not going to edit this video or cut anything out. You know a lot of times, editing the videos take a lot of time and oftentimes. I don't get to push out as much content as I want, because I spend too much time, editing the videos and trying to get certain shots and transitions, and it just takes so much time and that takes away from me actually pushing out content. So what I'm going to try to do more of is just hitting record and sharing my experiences with you. Less of you know the panning and zooming and transitions, but just basically talking to you guys about my experience with these smartphones, and then I can, you know, push out more content.
So you know I might trip on my words a little, or you know visually. Maybe the video is not going to be too exciting, but the point is to share my experience with you guys and try to share as much as I possibly can. So that's what I'm going to be doing. Let me know if you know like this style of video or, if not uh, but yeah. So today, I'm talking about the Samsung Galaxy a71 5g.
This is the latest device that I've picked up, and I want to share with you two things that I dislike about this device. Now, I'm still within my 14-day return policy window where I can return this device. If I'm not happy with it so far, I am happy with the a715g. I don't have any plans or intentions of returning this device. I've been really enjoying the a71 5g, and it has a lot of positives to it and, like I mentioned, there are two things which I dislike.
Furthermore, I guess. If I want to dig further, I can probably find some more dislikes about the a71 5g, but I'm only going to share with you two of them, and these are just two of the main things that are just standing out for me, which I wish was a little different with this device here. The first thing being is this back panel now, as you can see, it picks up fingerprints, smudges oils like crazy. It just picks up every single thing. Now, yes, a case will definitely fix this issue or a skin.
Unfortunately, this is the holiday season and well it's not unfortunate. I do like the holidays, but you know it's. The holly got Christmas right around the corner, so my order for my case is um running behind schedule. It's backed up, so it's not going to be arriving any time within the next couple of days, so I've been using this device for the past couple days without a case, and I'm just not enjoying looking at this back panel. So I just I can't wait to get my case in, and I got a couple cases coming from Amazon that I ordered, but you'll see videos on those but yeah I mean I keep wiping this down with a microfiber cloth, my shirt when I'm out and about, but you can't avoid these fingerprints and smudges just showing up and just taken away from the know the overall.
You know beautiful design of the a715g because it does have a nice design. I love the way the light reflects off of this back panel here this design. It looks good but bent here's definitely no type of oleo phobic coating on this, because it just picks up every single thing, and I like the curved uh back the aluminum rails. It feels premium in the hand, but just this back panel here yeah, not a fan of it. If you're going to pick up the a715g definitely recommend get a case or one.
You know if you're waiting for your a71 5g to arrive, or you're going to buy it next week or in two weeks, do yourself a favor and buy a case buy a skin ahead of time. So once your device arrives, you know you won't be looking at this back panel, like oh, my gosh. Look at all this nastiness going on to the back of it here. Anyways, that's my first complaint about the a71 5g. Now moving on to the second complaint or second dislike is the fact that this device does not have dual firing speakers and I really enjoy having dual firing speakers now I watch a lot of YouTube videos.
I listen to a lot of music. You know just with the speaker of the device. Typically, I don't use or have headphones around or a Bluetooth speaker. So I'm just you know, sitting on the couch sitting in my car, and I'm just listening from the audio from the speaker now I'll give you an example. Here I got my a'm sorry a71.
I got the a7 5g here, but I got the Moto G stylus here and this device has the dual firing speakers, and I've. You know you really it's hard for me to compare to devices with audio quality on a video, but let me just tell you there is a difference here. The quality, the audio quality sounds so much more immersive of the Moto G stylus because you got the earpiece as a speaker, so you got the audio coming directly towards you, and you got the bottom firing speaker. So if I had to choose between these two devices, and I'm going to watch a know, a YouTube video or an Amazon movie, Hulu whatever it is just based off the audio coming from the devices from their speakers. I'm going to go with the Moto G stylus because, like I mentioned it has the dual firing speakers, and you can hear the difference if you own a device that has the dual firing speakers, you know what I'm talking about.
There is a difference there compared to a device that has a single firing speaker so, depending on where you get them, you can get it for free right now. There are a lot of deals going on with this device, but at the same time, if you're going to buy this like directly from Samsung- and you don't have a trade-in, or you don't have you know a port over to another carrier, or you don't want to go the pre-owned route on Amazon. If you want to just buy this like full retail price, it goes up to like five six hundred dollars, which is a pretty premium price tag I mean six hundred dollars is a lot of money to spend, and if that was me, I mean I would probably you know, rethink picking up the a75g, because if I'm spending five to six hundred bucks, this better have dual firing. Speakers on it, you know. If this you know, 200 150 devices has dual firing.
Speakers, then why? Wouldn't this one I get it Samsung has to cut corners to bring down the cost, but at the same time, is that really one that was necessary? You know you tell me I like dual firing speakers and, like I said it's not a dealbreaker for me, I'm still intending on keeping my a715g because it has a lot of going for it. I have really been enjoying using this device. I really do, but I mean with every smartphone there's going to be likes and dislikes, and those are two dislikes that I have on the a71 5g that back panel and the fact that in the back panel I mean it's a fix just throw a case on it through a skin, and you're good. So I'm just waiting on that uh case to come in, but with the dual firing speakers. You know, that's something where you know I mean I'm glad it does have a headphone jack.
Thank you, Samsung for keeping the headphone jack on this device, but at the same time I'm not always listening to you know with headphones and Bluetooth. You know speakers and I are sometimes just listening and a lot of times, I'm just listening to my device with the actual speaker on the phone, and I wish it would have had the dual firing speakers. That's pretty much it! Those are my you know: I've owned this device for like two days. Those are my two dislikes you'll see more content about the a715g as more time goes on as I use this device more, and you'll see more videos like this, where I'm just going to hit record start talking and just sharing my experience with you. So if you enjoyed this video, you enjoyed the content.
Please hit that thumbs up button, and please subscribe to the channel for more future videos. Just like this, so I'm gonna, you know, go ahead and use this device some more, and I will make some future videos sharing with you.
