In this video, I'm comparing the Motorola Moto G stylus 5g with the Samsung Galaxy s, 21 5g, if you like phones, and you like, seeing the specs and comparing low end mid-range and flagship devices, here's the place to be. I make videos several videos a week, go ahead and subscribe if you like that type of concept, but let's go ahead and get into the video. So the Moto G stylus 5g is a 400 device. If you get it unlocked or 200 dollars, we get it on prepaid, it's a cheapest 5g device with a stylus. It's the only alternative to the Samsung Galaxy note, and I'm comparing it against the flagship Samsung Galaxy s205g, which cost around 800. So double the price.
The stylus 5g is 6.67 inches tall, 3, inches wide 0.37 inches thick versus the s21, which is a smaller device. Six inches tall, 2.8 inches wide 0.31 inches thick. The stylus 5g is also a heavier device at 7.7 ounces versus the 6 ounces. On the s 21. For the build quality.
The stylus 5g has a glass front plastic back and overall plastic build quality versus the s21 hatches. A glass front plastic back aluminum frame, so not that much better in build quality for the s21, although it cost twice as much, so I give it for the value and the build quality, give it to the stylus 5g. The bonus of having the stylus 5g is obviously is having a stylus and that's helping you mostly for notes and drawing and stuff like that. That's the only real thing that differentiates this device. It has a water repellent design which is found on a lot of Motorola, but the s21 has an ip68 dust and water resistance.
Now, let's move on to the screen, the stylus 5g has a huge 6.8 inch display it's an lcd around 60 hertz, while the s21 has a more subdued size, size, 6.2, inch, display 87 screens to body ratio and has 120 hertz refresh rate, so they have a nicer screen over on the s21 they're, both 1080p resolution full HD, the stylus 5g has 387 PPI versus the 421 PPI and the s21. So, although both these are nice screens, the value department is the stylus 5g wins out, because the s21 just costs two times as much, although it does have an always on display, and it doesn't have a stylus feature for software. The stylus 5g has android 11 with a stock version of android for the most part with Motorola gestures, while the s21 has android 11 with Samsung one UI 3.1 on top, which is a unique version of android. Skin very popular, has a lot of features, and you customize a lot of things on it, but both of these versions of android will be able to run all your popular apps in the app store and for the chipset. The stylus 5g has a snapdragon 485 g processor.
While the s21 has a best-in-class snapdragon, triple 85g processor, for most people, 99 of the time you could run both uh. You could run the same apps on both of these devices, but the more powerful one is obviously the snapdragon triple a and the s21, and that you could use that for pretty much every single app but the as the stylus said. You can't run really heavy intensive gaming or heavy and intensive video editing, but for the most part, most people won't know the difference notice. The difference. Moving on to the storage department, the stylus 5g is very impressive, and it wins straight up.
It has 256 gigs of internal storage, while the s21 starts off at 128, gigs and also the status 5g has a micro SD card slot, so the stylus 5g wins by a long shot um. Even in the ram department. You got six gigs of ram on the stylus 5g versus the eight gigs of ram and the s 21 not much difference in ram. Both of these are more than enough to run several apps in the background with no problems, so the stylus 5g definitely wins in the storage department and in the value of ram. So the cameras, the stylus 5g, has the four cameras on the back 48 megapixel main eight megapixel ultra-wide 5, megapixel macro 2 megapixel depth.
The camera setup is pretty good, and it'll take decent shots if you're outside and have plenty of light, and it's nice that it has that ultra-wide camera. On there as well, the s215g is definitely going to have a better camera, though setup um. It has a triple camera setup in the back 12 megapixel wide 64 megapixel telephoto 12 megapixel ultra-wide with super steady, video um. Definitely you got a better camera set up on the s21, its flagship quality, but the stylus IG is pretty decent in its own right um. You can shoot 1080p on the stylus 5g versus 8k and the s21, which is a little of overkill.
But if you're really into photography and video, the s21 is definitely one of its standout features. Selfie camera stylus 5g has a 16 megapixel shooter s21 10 megapixel shooter 1080p video in the stylus 5g 4k and the s21 again decent quality on the selfie on the status 5g, but flagship quality on the s21. The stylus 5g also has a headphone jack, which the s21 does not so the stylus 5g wins out by having that extra feature of a headphone jack for half the price of the s21. So you can connect your mic your headphones or connect it to your car via accord to listen to music. Both of these will connect uh, pretty decently, to your wireless devices with Bluetooth um, your wireless headphones, your smart bands, your smartwatches and your smart speakers, for example, there's no NFC and the stylus 5g, but there is on the s21 and that's mostly used for payment services, and both of these are rack and USB type c port for charging.
Now, for the fingerprint and unlocking the stylus, IG has a side mounted one while the s21 has an under the display fingerprint reader. Both of these are reliable ways to unlock your device, but the s21 definitely has a more contemporary feeling fingerprint unlock, but me personally, I, like the physical side mounted or the rear mounted fingerprint reader to unlock the device, usually when it has it under the display fingerprint reader. That signifies that it's going to have a more expensive price and, in this case definitely is, is a lot for the s21 and that's part of the reason. It's double the price of the stylus 5g. Now for the battery department, the stylus 5g wins this one with a 5000mah battery which will give you one or two or even three days of charge.
Well, the s21 has a really weak four thousand William battery and I call it weak because it's the phone costs twice as much, but it has 1000 Williams less than the stylus 5g, and it's a flagship device so very disappointed in the 4000 William battery, which will probably give you most of the day. But definitely you got better battery life on the stylus. The stylus also has a 10 watt fast charging, while the s21 has fast charging at 25 watts and reverse wireless charging, and fast wireless charging has all that stuff. But uh, I'm I'm more impressed by the stylus 5g's big old battery after the comparing the specs of both these devices, the winner to me, the overall better phone is going to be the status 5g and the biggest thing is going to be the price for 400 dollars and even 200 dollars on prepaid. The status 5g packs a lot of value, and it has a stylus which the s21 does not have.
It also has a bigger battery. The processor is a little lower end, but for 99 of people out there they won't notice the difference. It'll still run a lot of the same apps that the s21 does um. The s21 has a tiny battery um. The only thing going for the s21 5g, really that matters for a lot of people is probably going to be the quality of the camera, but the stylus 5g holds its own in the camera department if you're outside or have the right lighting it'll take some good videos and good pictures um, and it's just an overall, better value.
The s21. It doesn't offer that anything much better than the stylus 5g, and it doesn't even have stored uh this, the micro SD card slot or a headphone jack. So there's a lot to like about the stylus 5g, and it has a bigger screen too, as a 6.8 inch display. So it's going to be great for media and taking notes with your stylus and stuff, so the overall better device for me is the stylus 5g. Well guys, thanks for watching, if you like this type of content for checking out all the low end, mid-range to flagship phones, here's the spot, I upload several times a week.
Take care I'll, see you in the next one.
