HTC Desire 20 pro Unboxing & Review

Hi everybody welcome to ivy's channel Aileen, oh our channel. I guess, so we're going to do something different, and we totally understand if you don't bother clicking on this one or watching this one quite excited with ivy's. First paycheck she's got herself a new phone which she desperately needed because the one she's holding in her hand, currently uh just kept on breaking down the screen's, terrible and all that sort of stuff. So we thought we'd unbox and do a little of a review on the new phone that we've just got from dick smith, which is an uh electronics company in Australia, 100 Australian owned, and we went and got a HTC desire 20. So, let's get into it externally. Obviously, for the Australian market, it's got a very nice looking quick charge.3.0, that's one thing about the HTC: it's got the sort of the latest version of the quick charge and uh interesting. It comes with an adapter, but it's already got an Australian quick charge, interesting alrighty, nice, oh so nice! Isn't if it's always exciting.

When you get yourself a new phone now, the HTC desire20 is the first sort of mid-range phone they've brought out in a while um to sort of break back into the Australian market again because they basically left the Australian market because for the top end phones, they used to have the HTC one, and then you know you had the Samsung Galaxy and the iPhone, and they were taking more of the market share, so they didn't bother. But this one here is sort of a mid-range phone, very nice and uh, just the lifts out all the usual plastic coverings. What have we got here? Your standard, all your little bits of information. I have a little key for your SD card and whatever else this is interesting. So obviously you always get headphones with a new phone, and you get a charging cable and another HTC quick charger.

So this is fascinating. Ah, so that's like a Chinese plug HTC, so they give you an adapter, and it's nice and solid, perfect quality. Okay, it's not all cheap and flimsy. There's no rattling! It's nice and solid, but you've got the standard. HTC, quick charger with an Australian adapter and you've got a standalone already adapted for Australian quick charge 3.0, so it comes with two charges. Can't argue with that cool anything else in the box, quick, look-see nah, that's it just empty box, all right.

It's beautiful they're, one of the main reasons that uh ivy wanted this particular, or we settled on this particular phone. Is it's got a perfect camera setup like a top shelf camera setup. You've got a 25 megapixel, uh selfie camera, just a selfie camera main camera is like a 48 megapixel, and then it's got one. I think it's a 12 megapixel with a 118 degree view for like wide angle, shots, and then it's got your macro, and you've got two LED lights for a really bright flash. So basically I even got this because she wanted a know, perfect one for taking videos and selfies and pictures and all that sort of good stuff.

For obvious reasons, that's really nice. It is a very nice looking phone I'll now attempt to get out of the packaging. All right, let's see a little sleeve and then does it. Just pop out of the sleeve pretty much oh, my love isn't that nice, it's decent size, really nice effect on the back kind of silver black check, sort of cross-hatch. Oh, no! It's just lines, but really nice, and you can see it's all about the cameras all about the cameras very sleek, very nice yep.

It's got so USB, so they're all going that way. These days still has a headphone jack. Has a nice big, open speaker there be interesting to see what the audio is like all right. So now, what we're going to do is give it a nice charge and see what you can do all right. We put a bit of charge into this.

It's got a nice lock screen standard sort of. I won't show you the pattern. It is cool. I do like the camera is in the actual screen. There see that selfie camera.

It's not like something separate, so you get this tiny little border around, but the rest of it's all screen. It's quite amazing, really so put some programs on it, we're just sort of seeing how quick it runs. Uh, quick is the answer to that question. You know nice crisp buttons and everything else a bit of weight to it. Uh we've taken some videos on it, really, really nice videos I'll give you an example of some the camera features like there's a macro camera.

So you go and pick your macro for taking close-up stuff, so you can get really close to something tiny, and you can see that tiny little one there, and you can get you know what was I about a centimeter away, and it's absolutely perfect. You can even zoom in, and it's still just perfect the camera on. This is just amazing. That's the reason we got it. Of course yeah.

It really is just magnificent and uh. You know just really smooth does everything that you had wanted to do. Video playback looks really amazing yeah, it's a perfect phone and um. We were looking up how to best extend a battery life by let's see charging it full and then letting it sort of run down with steady use, um and then just leaving it on, and it was like three or four days, and it was down to like 30 or something like it's got a 5 000 William hour battery, which is heaps like I've got a galaxy uh. I think it's uh I've got a galaxy 7, which is a 3200 William hour battery.

So this is like you know, like 40, more almost um. It's amazing really is amazing. So it's just an uh really quick like. If you have a phone, that's a couple of years old, and it's absolutely top tier. Then it's going to be sort of equal with that.

It might not be equal with your top phones right now, like the latest iPhone or the latest galaxy. But for me, it's you know it's! It's NASA to me, as the expression goes coming from a seven, and this is coming from her phone as well. It's just so much faster, but the main thing that is just really awesome with it are those cameras, 48 megapixels for the main one um. I think it's. What is it for that? It's got a wide angle as well.

Even the wide angle is like a 12 or 24 or something but because yeah, that's that's what she looks like when we're doing these little videos when she's chasing me around the kitchen, and I'm cooking, something, or I'm making olives or juicing apples, or you know whatever it is, I'm doing she's following me around. You know there you go, you got the secret uh yeah, so we got that awesome, wide angle, lens a 48, megapixel standard camera, you zoom faux so far in, and it's still so clear. The macro, as I just demonstrated videos really, really good quality on it as well. So that's. The main thing is: if you're addicted to selfies and videos and tick-tock, then yeah.

I really recommend it perfect phone, but if you want to and even running like several applications at once, because these days, a lot of people will have it running navigation, and we'll have it uh yeah navigation plugged into their car running Spotify through the stereo Bluetooth. Everything together yeah do all of that yep great fun, so yeah. This is the review of the HTC desire20 pro and all, I can say, is from the limited use of what we've had for it. So far, it's really fast. The cameras are amazing, um and the battery life is just more than any phone we've experienced so far.

The fast chargers that we got, one of them is an already 3.0 fast charger and the other one seems to be the standard charger from when it was made in Taiwan, which is where these are made and then with an Australian adapter. But it's a perfect tight, solid adapter. It doesn't feel like some cheap thing. Good and solid yeah really impressed with it. I must warn you, though, if you do get it in Australia.

It does seem that you get absolutely nothing in English. Nothing at all none of the manuals, none of the warranty, nothing it's all in mandarin, so that could be an issue but other than that the actual phone itself works great all right. This has been our review of it for what it's worth uh. Thank you for watching, Aileen's, channel and uh like subscribe, all that sort of good stuff for more random videos, of all sorts of things, and just life in Australia and cooking and traveling. Well, not much of that this month at the moment, but yeah like to subscribe to see more, you should try that phone at the end of this video you're going to see some differences between the camera on the phone that you're watching, which is a Samsung, don't say it.

What is it doingn't say it whatever that one's a Samsung, and it's a 2016 model. I know that much about it and this one's a brand spanking new, HTC and you'll uh you'll see the difference in the filming at the end of the video. Well, it looks better on her end as far as from the screen, but the screen's a lot bigger and better as well. So tell us what you think tell us uh if you can tell the difference between the camera on the HTC that you're looking through now, and if you can see the difference between that and the uh Samsung that we were filming the rest of the video on peace out.
