Google Pixel XL vs Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Fingerprint Scanner Speed Test

What's of YouTube's a fear on super-safe TV and in this video we're going to be testing out the fingerprint scanner speed between the Google Pixel XL, undies, Samsung, Galaxy S7 edge. So a few days ago, I did a detailed speed test on fingerprint scanner, speed test between the iPhone 7 and the pixel, and the number one requested video since then has been to do a fingerprint scanner, speed on detail, speed test between the pixel XL and the s7 edge. So we are going to be kicking off with a fingerprint scanner. Speed test between these two now remember a quick message to the haters. This video is clearly labeled, so if you don't want to watch it, you don't have to. This is simply for the people interested in this kind of videos, and there is a lot of you so to clarify.

We do have fingerprint scanners in different positions on here. We have one in the back, which is capacitive on the pixel Excel and on the s7 edge. There is a fingerprint scanner on the home button and this is actually a physical button now which one of these is a better position. That's going to come down to your personal preference in this video. We are specifically looking at speed, so in the usual super-safe style, I'm using a mirror here on the pixel XL.

So we can see exactly when it unlocks, and I have filmed both of these separately. Then sync them up to the exact point where my finger or thumb touches the button. This way there is no human error, and we are making these as fair as possible, so starting off from these standby screens, going up to three to one I think that was a clear win for the pixel XL, and we can slow this down just so. We can see a little more detail. You can see that both were touched at the exact same time, and we have the pixel XL that finishes unlocking faster.

Now remember: we are using a physical push button here on the s7 edge, which may be slowing it down. So now, let's try this test from the lock screens. This way we aren't physically pushing down or anything we are just touching both buttons, and here the clear winner was the s7 edge. So you can see that both were touched at the same time and the s7 edge does finish unlocking faster. However, there is a bit more of an animation on the pixel excel now.

Animations are at default right now, but it looks like on the s7 edge. There isn't really much of an animation at default, so just for everybody, who's going to be complaining about animations, I've, gotten to developer options and switched off animations completely on both. Now, let's try this test again from the top that was very close, and I think it was under the win for the pixel Excel. Yes, it was another win for the pixel Excel and let's try from the lock screens now. This is where the pixel excel definitely had more of an animation.

So this is where we'll really be able to tell difference, and that was super, super close I think the pixel excel edged it there. Let's just have a look at this in slow motion, so both were touched at the exact same time and the pixel Excel did win by a split second. So there we have it be a detail. Fingerprints, kind of speed test between the pixel excel and the s7 edge I think the overall win has to go to the pixel excel here, unlocking faster both from the home screen under lock screen. If you switch off animations now, as mentioned earlier in the video, the positioning will come down to personal preference, which you prefer a fingerprint scanner on the back or the front.

Let me know in the comment section below now: I am working on a detailed speed test between these two, which will be coming in the next couple of days. But if you want to see that video today then make sure you do hit that thumbs up button, and if this video gets 2,000 likes, then I will publish that video today. So you know what to do and if you haven't already subscribed, then make sure you do and switch on notifications because there's a plenty more content, super-safe style coming up on here, thanks for watching this is stuff on super surf. TV I'll see you next time.
