Hi my name is Jon Andersen with Golf Pad GPS. Today we're going to provide you with a short video about using Samsung smartwatches. First step, you want to make sure you've downloaded the Golf Pad GPS app on your phone as well as the app on your watch. As a reminder the watch sync is part of the Premium upgrade. If you would like to try it out, please email support@golfpadgps. com and we will provide you with a trial.
Once you are ready to go, launch the Golf Pad app and start a new round. Now let's go check the Golf Pad app on the watch. And as you can see, we're on a fairly long par 3. On the left side, we have distances to the back, middle, and front of the green. On the right side we have the PLAYS LIKE distance and as you can see it's much shorter.
Let's find out why that is. You scroll up you can see the factors that are being taken into consideration. Elevation of almost 60 feet downhill is taking off 20 yards, weather and altitude. We're on a nice sunny day today. So, let's go play a hole and use our Samsung watch to track our shot.
As you can see, this is a downhill par 4. I'll be teeing off using my driver. I found my ball in the fairway. I'm about to hit my approach shot and I'll show you how to track this. We're 133 to the middle, PLAYS LIKE 125, tee shot 258.
I'm going to use my pitching wedge into the green. So, I found my ball here on the green and I'm about to track the distance. Ok, so if we scroll up, we can see the last shot pitching wedge. From here, select putt. And mark your next putt.
Another option if you prefer not to track putt distances is to use the putt out feature. Select putt out. Confirm the number of shots on the hole. And save your total. There are more options on the club selection screen at your disposal.
There is penalty option, mark the flag, the putt out option or undo any previous errored shots. To change the hole at any time, you can simply swipe left to go back or swipe right to go forward. All the shots that we've tracked will automatically be synced to the phone. You can go back and visually see the shots and distances on the map. There are several scoring modes that are supported on the watch.
You can choose from tracking scores only, track shot distances, or track shot distances and clubs. Also, the Golf Pad app now supports standalone mode. So it will use the GPS distances from the watch and you can turn your phone off and put it in your bag. Thank you for watching the video today. We hope you find it useful.
