Xperia 5 ii vs Samsung S21 camera comparison! Who will win?

Oh, hi everyone. This is JD your gadget review friend. Today we will have a camera comparison, video between Samsung s21 and Sony Xperia 5 mark ii. S21 is the newest flagship of Samsung behind s21 ultra a Xperia 5 mark 2 is Sony's flagship that tries to emulate DSR functionality in pro mode. We will compare both photos and videos in auto mode and see what the difference are and who's better. Who will win? Hey, don't forget to subscribe.

My friend, let's go hi everyone. This is JD your gadget review friend today we're going to compare Xperia 5 mark 2 versus Samsung s21 hi, everyone. This is JD your gadget review friend today we're going to compare Xperia 5 mark ii versus Samsung s21 on our first test, which is the audio. Both phones produce clean and loud voice, but for the sake of comparison I played it over and over, and I think Xperia 5 is a little louder than s21 Xperia 5 is the winner here on our first image test. I thought when I first tested s21 compared to pixel 5, it produces a color tint Xperia 5 is actually cooler or bluish compared to s21 siding to almost flat again, all shots are taken from auto mode.

I've taken this photo on a sunny afternoon and my window cover is color, yellow, so s21 is the exact color of the scene, while Xperia 5 is just flat. Furthermore, I like the color profiling of s21. Better next image is almost toe to toe perfect highlights, as you can see, on the window, perfect shadows on the sofa, Xperia 5 2 feels a little different, but in a good way of different. It's like the feeling I get when I'm holding a Huawei phone. They have their own taste of photos, and I love it.

I'd say if not for the small flaring, it could be a tie, but s21 manage it. Better next is sharpness. This centerpiece is a good example of it. Both rendered sharp photos, it's just when I pixel peep or zoom in I notice. Both of them are sharp, but s21 is tack sharp compared to Xperia 5 2.

It's not focusing because I click to focus on the white rocks before I hit the shutter. So s21 is the winner here on our next test. The shadows both of them exposes the darker area of the bulb. Well, s21 is lighter and was able to capture the dark area where Xperia 5 went to a more dramatic approach and chooses to make it darker, not bad, sometimes being more dramatic works, but for this test we're looking who's managing the shadows better, so s21 manage it better. I took this photo to prove that sometimes shadows make the photo more dramatic, although I like both photos and feel free to correct me in the comment section, but I think Xperia 5 did a perfect job on this.

The shadows on this three made more sense to me, and it looks good on Xperia 5 mark ii, so Xperia 5 is the winner. Next is flaring, so I took a shot directly to the sun and both of them has flaring circular on s21, while linear on Xperia 5, with a little of halo, I'm contemplating on it, and this is a personal choice, but I would prefer Xperia 5 more than s21 next is portrait shots, and both photos are perfect. S21 is a live mode, while I don't see that function on opera, 5, 2. Again correct me in the comment, if you found it, but on this test, s21 is sharper and more defined, while Xperia 5 is flatter and more natural, since I'm yellowish- and I think that's coming from the yellow window cover, so no skin correction applied on opera, 5. , s21 edges on this photo since background blur looks more professional.

Next is night shots again we're in auto mode, and we're not going pro mode in Xperia 5 to dial in longer. Shutter speed, like most professional photographer, will do on this test. S21 has a night mode function, while Xperia 5 doesn't, so you have to mess around with the pro mode to get good night shots. You might need a tripod or a good set of steady hands, so it's a little of work for Xperia 5. , it's up to you.

If you want to do it, some people like me, will do it, but for the sake of this test I will choose. S21 next is versatility. Both phones have regular wide telephoto and ultra-wide. So for versatility. It's a tie.

Next is text sharpness, so both phones are sharp when you first look at the text, but when you zoom in s21 is applying sharpness on the photo while Xperia 5 is natural. Looking I'll just draw this question to you guys, which do you prefer? Let me know and comment down below next is video stabilization. You will see on my shadow here that I'm holding both phones, so the shake is coming from my hands and body. Some people are commenting that I turned off stabilization on s20 fan edition. So if you want to check it out, you can go to my playlist and gadget rev now camera comparisons, but on this video test, it's all natural, and I think you will agree that Xperia 5 is a little better in terms of stabilization.

So what is gadget rev now's verdict when I first did the test, I made sure that you guys know we're doing it in auto mode, like most people will do opera.5 2 is better in video, but audio and stabilization not much just a little, but it also produces more dramatic photos because of the shadows and more natural profiling, while s21 is trying to do it all in auto mode. Making sure photos are Instagram and Facebook ready when you shoot it, it is more saturated sharper and warmer compared to Xperia 5 mark ii. So in this camera comparison I think the winner is Samsung s21 for two reasons: the background blur on portrait shots and the native photo stacking HDR or night shots. Those two things are super useful and a lot of people are using it today, almost every day, if you enjoyed this video consider subscribing.
