Alcatel SMARTFLIP | Unboxing and hands-on review | Flip Phones Are Back?

Hey everybody welcome back to junior tech reviews, I'm Nick, I'm Nelson, and today we are going to be reviewing the Alcatel smart flip. So this is our sales version of the flip phone. It is a modern take on the old technology. Now we've been using it throughout the office. Today, it's a good little phone. It does this job as a cell phone, but it also has the functionalities of smartphone.

Of course, you are limited the fact that as jumped and touch buttons, but it does not have the touch screen, which kinds of makes using the phone a little harder. Although you can still use email text browse the internet, anything you may want to do. This phone will have it. Of course, this phone does come with Google assistance, so it does make some tasks a lot easier. I'm going to ask the phone to send a text, look something up or even read something out.

For me. It is very handy yeah, so jumping into the specs of the phone. It has a battery of 1350 Williams, which is a fairly small first cell phone. But again you ought to realize that this isn't a smartphone, so the first functional needs. That's all.

You really need that results in a talk time about seven hours. I know that's a lot longer than you would have on iPhone or Samsung flagship phone to themselves and that kind of means that on standby it will last thirteen and a half days which is insane I mean I'm charging my iPhone every single night and that kind of is a hassle for me. I have to share, carry a charger everywhere, I go, and that means that you can take this phone almost anywhere for days on end and not have to worry about charging it at all. In terms of straight usage, it will result in about 24 hours of usage, which again the iPhone or Samsung can't compete with yeah. Who do you think would be using this kind of phone, so the people have been using this or people who are less technically inclined, so usually the older generation who didn't grow up with smartphones? Again, it's very intuitive, and it's very easy to use.

So anybody can use the phone if you're, trying to cut back on screen time or limit your cell phone use and kind of go back to the old way of having your entertainment on another form technology like a TV or a computer. Again, you can take this on trips if you're trying to get away from the screen, you can also take it on as an emergency phone. If you have a child, or you're going on a trip like I said, of course, ah so ignoring the target user. Let's look at the more physical aspect of the phone. It is covered in a thin plastic layer feels like a sturdy enough phone has a front-facing camera and the screen the camera is 2 megapixels.

So it's not amazing doesn't compare to your daily smartphones, but it does a good job. I just wouldn't be taking a vacation. One gripe I had been the phone. Was this hot the casing on the back? It has plastic hooks, they feel kind of weak, although it didn't break on us. I, do worry about them and I find a problem with that, because the battery SIM card and SD card are all located under this plastic piece, so I could see them breaking in the near future, although I cannot say for sure.

Overall, it's a good phone. It's its simple, and it's definitely meant for the niche market. That is not looking for the full smartphone and something that I would use. I like my Facebook in my Instagram well, this phone is perfect for calling and receiving text yeah so that wraps up our tech review for the Alcatel.
