Welcome back to another camera comparison, so it is the Xiaomi mi 11 and the mate 40 pro up against the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra front-facing cameras here, so the s21 ultra and the mate 40 pro can do 4k 30 frames per second in 60 frames per second in the front cameras the Xiaomi 1080p. Only here now the electronic image stabilization across all three of them seems to be reasonably good, a little trimmer coming through on the mate 40 pro I can see and short jog ahead to see which one here has the best electronic image, stabilization, and I'll be swapping over the audio sources as well as you can hear. So, in the background I have the castle there, you can see of denier. Let's take a look at the rear cameras, now ultra-wide cameras here, so they're all using these phones here, electronic image stabilization. Unfortunately, it's a little windy, so you'll probably get a bit of wind noise, but it's a good way to judge here, which one has the worst wind noise coming through with this. So short, jog ahead, checking their electronic image stabilization and now to pan around and see if there's any data coming through on these ultra-wide cameras, 4k 30 frames per second rear cameras, 4k 30 frames per second, so we have the 50 megapixel sensor without any optical image, stabilization with the mate 40 pro and then the 208 megapixel sensors.
The Xiaomi sensor is the first generation ATM, where we have the Samsung, which is the hm3, which is a second generation 108 megapixels, so short jog ahead, which one has the best electronic image stabilization zoom cameras. Now, so we've got the 10 times optical on the Samsung s21 ultra. Now this one doesn't seem to have any electronic image stabilization, as you can see it rocks around all over the place. I think that is just the optical image stabilization 10 times. Looking at the castle here in denial, we have a five times optical with the mate 40 pro and with the Xiaomi mi 11.
Here it is only two times the digital zoom we get, but it does look quite stable and steady as you can see as I walk ahead, slowly, which you probably wouldn't do when shooting at such zoom here with 10 times at least 4k 60. Now so looking a lot smoother now, the 11 seems to use the same bit rate as 4k 30, which is well. It's not a good thing, because we're capturing double the amount of detail while double the amount of frames. It should have a much higher bit rate, but it doesn't seem to affect the performance of the video quality too much when you look at it on a 1080p screen. But definitely when you look at it on a 4k screen, you notice the difference panning around here you can see all three of them do look smooth and a short jog ahead again testing out that stability.
Okay, so, let's be honest here, none of these three look really that good with the front facing camera footage. Now a lot of noise grain looking a bit washed out but which one is doing it the best here. Big difference in the megapixel account, of course, 20 megapixels versus 40 megapixels versus uh 13. Isn't it or 16 13 with the mate 240 pro here, 4k 30 frames per second low light footage here so which one is looking the best here. It's really hard to tell just looking at the screens.
I need to get this on my 4k monitor. I can see oh the Samsung's having some focus problems, the s21 ultra then just kind of pulsed in and out. So this sign here should be a dark, blue and I can see it looks almost purple from the screen, at least on the mate 40 pro and very blue on the s21 ultra, and it looks a little clearer, actually, the letters la posed del mar on the 11. And a short jog ahead to test that image stabilization across all three of them. One here looks the best in these difficult conditions.
So, okay, so here are my findings so front facing vlog video footage, the s21 ultra hands down it won it had the best electronic image. Stabilization sharp, looking detailed video was good. The mi 11 1080p only was lagging behind, and the mate 40 pro was shaky like it didn't. Even have any electronic image stabilization at all applied ultra-wide video, the s21 ultra. I did, however, like the colors from the 11.
That did look a little more true to life and then the main video footage from the main camera. I think the me11 took it here. It had the best stabilization out of all three of them. It had the better colors and overall it just looked to my eyes the best looking at this on a 4k OLED 48-inch TV, so the camera's still there in selfies s21 ultra took the best selfies there uh portraits, I think the rare main camera portraits was the main 40 pro. I did like that one, a little better.
There HDR shots and normal day, stills mate.40 pro was the winner for me and the ultra-wide stills. I think the s21 ultra took it there as well for the colors with the photos. I think it was either me 11 or the mate 40 was the truest to life. The Samsung did tend to over saturate a little now low light photography here. This was very close with all three of these and hard to really pick a winner, because it was a little of a battle of one was good at one scenario, one was better the other, but I'd have to say if I have to pick an overall winner.
Just really was the s s21 ultra. I think that came out the best there, even though some photos that did overdo it a little with being a little too bright in areas a little too over sharpened. So that's my camera comparison there. I hope you did enjoy it. Please do like and subscribe for more up and coming videos, and I will see you in the next one.
