What Happens When You Put a Foreign Disc in a Nintendo Switch??

What's going on guys, so I've got my Nintendo Switch here with me today, and I'm going to be seeing what happens when you put a foreign disc in it. So I have a lot of different games to try, obviously got all my Xbox games, so you know Xbox One Xbox 360 original Xbox got on my PlayStation games. Got some Nintendo games even got a couple other. You know random games and DVDs and then even got some cartridges to try. So if you're familiar with an internist, which you probably know, there's not actually a disc slot on this console, as you see it's pretty thin, looking console. Basically your fan right here.

You got your power right there, and you got your little cartridge slot right here. So if you open it up, you can see you basically stick a cartridge in and that's how you play, so you're, probably wondering how am I going to be putting a foreign disc in this and well I. Actually have this external disc drive right here that I've used before, and basically it's just a disc drive got a USB that you plug in and, as you can see over here, it's in a switch actually has a couple USB ports, so we're going to try to plug it in we're going to see if I can play any games on it. You know see what'll pop up, see if it recognizes anything and yeah, let's go ahead and get into it. So here's my antenna swish got to pull it up, got my pro controller by the way, if you don't have a pro controller, definitely pick one of these up.

These things are really nice. I'll put a link in the description in case you want to check it out, so here's an internal switch. This is just you know, standard got my cartridge in right now. So when you have a cartridge in it'll kind of highlight your cartridge as you can see, it's like a full cartridge. Looking thing: if you scroll over something that you don't have the game in right now, as you can see, the cartridge is empty.

So you know you don't have that game loaded right now, so yeah, let's go ahead and see, you know just make sure my switch is working and see what happens when you put it in a switch game in the switch. So I actually have gaming here already right now, but I'll show you guys Super Smash Bros for the nation to switch. Definitely pick it up. If you don't have it yet pretty good game, so we put it in it actually loads, really fast for regular cartridge, I'm going to click on it, and I'm going to do update right now, because I don't have time for that. Basically it'll load up, as you can see, it tends to switch down in the corner Nintendo up in the top, and it's kind of taking a long time to load.

So there it is, there's Nintendo Switch and there we go so now. We know that it's in the switch game's gonna play, so we can go ahead and eject that, and it gets the rest of our games. So, as I was telling you guys, I have this external disc drive here that you can plug in to a USB port, as you can see, and basically just press this button, and it ejects. So we know you have power. Because I just was able to eject.

So it's going to get started, so we got an Xbox. We got our Xbox games first, so let's go with Xbox One now Red Dead Redemption. If I can get it out, I'm go ahead and stick it in and see what we got going on here. It's basically was trying to read it'll start flashing and you kind of hear it booting up no sort of sign up here. It's got just making a weird noise down here: I'm going to eject up for scratching my disc it's! Actually.

This is just a biscuit DVD player or CD player. So it probably won't do anything with an Xbox disc, because I think Xbox is like a Blu-ray format. So let's go ahead and try the regular Xbox original Xbox make it something here. So, let's see put it in stick it in and, as you can see it's flashing again, so we know our disk drive is no kind of doing this job. Oh, it stopped flashing.

That's weird! So nothing up here right now, I'm just looking at Joshi right now, I see. Oh, she looks happy, so this thing actually just stopped trying to read real quick, the Xbox One actually try to read longer than that. One did so it's good and eject that, and now we're going to try, xbox360 real, quick I, don't have much hope for 360 after the original Xbox and Xbox One didn't work, but you never know. Let's see I'm expecting if I had to guess I'd expected to flash four times two three four. Oh, they're still flashing.

So it's trying ok did about the same thing as the original Xbox flashes for a little. Nothing pops up! So it's quite and eject it and try our next game. So at least it's spinning or not. We know our disk drive is kind of doing its job. So far, it's trying to read games, but no look so far.

So crash bash, just try it out wow, so it's not actually hint here. I forgot that I was actually playing crash bash on the ps1 recently, so I must left on my ps1, which is now in a storage box. Well, that's no good! Maybe was try. PS2 see the guy here. It's kind of sad.

How many times did I open up discs cases, and it doesn't have a game in there. So, let's see how many times will flash four five six seven. So it's trying to read flashed a couple extra times, but it didn't nothing up period. Alright, so PS2 is just not she's, not trying to read very long. It was kind of interesting how it actually tried to leave the ex read the Xbox One game for as long as it did and these other games it's not really even trying to read them very long.

So you got Call of Duty ghosts for PS3, so maybe these Blu-ray games they actually I, don't know. Maybe it tries to read them longer. Let's see two three, four, five, six, seven eight still going, so you can kind of hear it really working. Maybe it says that's just because it doesn't know it is dealing with since it's a Blu-ray, but it's really struggling down here. I, don't know! What's going on, I'm going to go ahead inject that one well, it actually kind of took a long time to eject all right and one more kind of Blu-ray format, disk, so spider-man, PS4 great game I, pretty much.

Do that every time I pull out a spider-man game, perfect game, definitely pick it up. If you can so hear we go flashing again I'm just expecting to flash continuously and make some weird noises, like all the other Blu-ray discs do, but we'll see, so it's still flashing. It's actually making really weird noise, like it almost sounds like it's scratching, my disc, so come on eject it. Please I'm, actually kind of worried. Now that was I was really sketchy, so it looked like five seconds for it to eject, and it was to be honest.

It sounded like I was scratching it I, really hoping it wasn't, but it really sounded like it. So next up we got our Nintendo games, so maybe we got something here so Nintendo Gamete, you know I'm usually nervous about these small games, but it's actually got something to latch onto, so I'm, not too nervous this time. So put it in see what happens to it. Ooh. That's a weird noise, okay, Tax, please! That was a really Norton knows.

I, don't know if you guys can hear that. But it's its like making like a awful error: noise. Okay, any day now spit it out. That was really weird I. Don't think it was even clipped all the way that was dude.

That was sketchy. I, thought I thought something was gonna break there. So let's try Super Smash Bros for the Wii. You know if anything's gonna work, this would be it. This would be the time come on it.

? no show us your backward compatibility search flashing. It actually has a sound like it's about to start reading it, but maybe not it kind of had like that sound, and then it just immediately stopped. So that was no good all right, so next up try sure I intend to land. This is gonna, be our like our last disc, based game, and we'll see if it happens, I'm not expecting much after what just happened with the Wii game. Well, you never know, let's try it out, it's kind of booting up.

Would it be sweet if Nintendo had some kind of secret backwards compatibility with Nintendo Land games, you know all I had to do was buy an external drive and plug it in, and it worked. But it's making weird noises kinda, like the Blu-ray discs word like keep spinning, and it sounds like it's gonna work, but it doesn't do anything because I never popped up here either. So it's good to inject that and let's try the last few things we have, so I'm going to try these couple of things, and we're going to get to our cartridges. It should be kind of interesting, so we get our Sega Dream cast game. So usually, if you play this on the wrong console, it kind of plays, like a know like a voice message like you're playing, isn't the wrong console bro put me in the right console, so maybe it'll read it, and we can open up a media file I'm, not sure if it definitely sounds like it's.

No well definitely sounded like it was trying to read it, but it's not going anywhere. Maybe it's down, I didn't go on the album or something and uh I just random pictures. Next time we got a DVD, you usually know Nintendo, for whatever reason is notorious about not supporting. You know normal things like DVD playback, which is kind of sad. It would make sense if they don't want this one, since it's not a technical, technically a disk based console, but like the Wii and the Wii U, they couldn't play DVDs and that was kind of weird because those were disc based.

But you know how tenant in who is well. That was quick. A couple spins and nothing pops up says it isn't. Nintendo is lame, I mean they're, not really that lame. They got good games and stuff, but come on and give me something we're down to our last hope now.

So he's going to be interesting right here, so I guess um. We got some cartridge-based games, so we know that this is a cartridge based system. So we can just ignore this thing for now, since this thing is being a piece of junk, but basically you push your cartridge right in here. So, let's see, if any of these cartridges fit, so we got Vita and that's looking about the size of the cartridge. So, let's see if they'll fit, oh, that, oh, it's almost a perfect fit it slides about halfway, and it gets stuck.

Oh, wait! No yeah! It goes in kind of crooked. It's not very focusing well but yeah, like kind of goes in really crazy. If you could actually fit that in there we play some PS Vita games. So maybe it's in two 3s to be honest, I think this game might actually fit since it's actually looking a little wide, but you think they might make them like similar size, since it's seen on both Nintendo made but yes way too big their mind. PS veto is actually really close to being correct size, so we got, and it's no regular internal Dias game.

So maybe it sounds a little smaller. I think it still might be a little too wide, though yeah. Actually it's about the same with still doesn't fit in there. That's kind of sad, let's go back and look at that PS Vita game and compare it to the Nintendo Switch game. Real quick, though.

So, if you look at these two, these teams, these two are really almost the same size. Super similar antenna switch game is a little thicker. If you can see that, but a PS Vita game almost fit in there, though that'd have been pretty sweet, placing FIFA on the switch there you go guys. Unfortunately, not much was doing for this Nintendo Switch I thought we might be got a couple of things. You know pop up or at least have a cartridge fit, but unfortunately Nintendo made every single disc and ever so impart rich and edible with your system.

You know classic Nintendo, but at least we can play Super Smash Bros units. That's all you really need, isn't it so, thanks for watching guys hope you enjoyed this video definitely know down in the comments whether things you want to see me try, and thanks for watching hope. You guys have a great day.
