WATCH: TCL Phone Event - Livestream By CNET Highlights

Hello everyone I'm Stefan street on behalf of the entire team at TCL communication. We welcome you as we share more about the next generation of TCL mobile, which we briefly teased out earlier this year as a leading consumer electronics company. This has been a busy week for TCL. In addition to today's event, our European team provided an update on our TCL TV business yesterday, and we continue to partner with six world-class football players to promote TCL brand in Europe for both TV and mobile categories. Today, however, let's shift our focus to the global TCL mobile brand. First, let's talk about how things are going in the year and a half since we first launched TCL mobile TCL is no stranger to the mobile devices.

We have been in the business of manufacturing phones, tablets, devices and other mobile product categories for over 20 years before launching our first TCL branded phone. As many of you know, 2020 was an important year for TCL in the mobile category. We officially introduced the TCL mobile brand at CES, and we continue to make significant inroads into the global smartphone market. We were well positioned for the future growth. Thanks to our extensive portfolio.

TCL has expanded its mobility business globally. Our products have rolled out 49 countries so far with nine smartphones, launched and 14 products across a wide variety of categories, including tablets, earbuds, a wearable display and the smartwatches all integrated into the TCL ecosystem, and thanks to tight collaboration between TCL's television, smartphone, headsets, sound bars and home appliance categories, TCR's vertical integration ensures that our entire product line benefits from our technical expertise and innovative display offerings. As a true consumer electronics leader, we don't stop at incorporating our display expertise into the latest sketches. What we really want to do is open doors to a whole new future by introducing a complete ecosystem of smart devices that help our consumers enjoy more connected life and, let's face it as working remotely continues to gain momentum. Staying connected with one another through phone calls photos video chatting and more is not just a convenience.

It's become critically important. We are confident we will continue to grow up right globally in 2021, thanks to the TCL 20 series phones, we introduced earlier this year at CES, as well as three additions to the series that we will unveil today and because I know you're curious. We also have one other surprise outside the 20 series lineup, which we'll announce later. In the event, all of these fits nicely in today's theme display your greatness. The theme reflects TCL's legacy as a display manufacturing powerhouse.

Today, our television business is the second bestseller in the world. To put this into perspective, this means that TCL sells one television every second and chances. Are you probably spend more and more time each day, looking at your phone, so it makes sense to leverage our display expertise by building it into our smartphones and tablets. Today, we'll be focusing on our 20 series, smartphones, which combine beautiful natural design with performance and affordability. This year's lineup of smartphones builds up on the strong foundation we set with last year's 10 series lineup, focusing on how we can continue to make user experience even better and design each TCL device.

So that you'll be excited to show it off to your friends and family. We also aimed higher in the number of devices in the series this year, releasing five phones across a wide range of pricing, tiers so far, you're all really familiar with the two that we launched at CES, the award-winning TCL 25g and the 20se, which were favored by android authority, android, headlines, Engadget, entrepreneur, export and how to geek to carries and fan rate. But it is now my pleasure to fully unveil a trio of new additions to the TCL 20 series. These new smartphones in the tcl20 series lineup, are designed to enhance TCL's value and performance together. These phones share several key features and benefits that are delivered via innovative technologies created to meet or exceed the needs of consumers around the world.

One of TCL's biggest strengths is vertical integration. We designed the 20 series phones with that in mind, using some of the same innovations found in our award-winning display technologies. These phones highlight TCL steadfast commitment to display innovation with intelligent displays, which we always have been at the core of our mobile device strategy. Here are a few features you can enjoy in every 20 series device. First, each device comes with TCL's very own next vision, our advanced display, optimization technology that delivers true to life, color accuracy and real-time visual enhancement.

Second, our displays are capable of filtering out blue light, which provides your eyes with a much safer viewing experience and third, our design mantra in the 20 series is the one piece as we believe that the ultimate form of smartphones will be just a piece of screen integrated with all the functional units. Our 10 series phones feature the look and feel that rivaled phones more than twice the price, so we wanted to build up on that success when designing the 20 series. In a nutshell, one piece is our ultimate pursuit of excellence in design language with one piece. All elements of the phone's designs are seamlessly integrated with the TCL built-in display. It illustrates an ultra-thin and curved chassis and flowing lines that complement the exquisite minimalism that today's consumers are looking for.

Now, let's take a closer look at the first two phones in the 20 series. Let's start with the tcl20l, it's an affordable, feature-packed phone for anyone interested in an elevated mobile experience delivered by immersive display with enough power to last for two days: hmm, the tcl20l packs plenty of the storage and processing power you crave in order to tackle your everyday needs, whether your typical day involves multitasking staying social in a virtual world, staying entertained through streaming apps, and so on. The first thing: you'll notice, when you use your tcl20l, is the 6.67-inch full HD plus touch display. In addition to its large size, it comes with a 91 screen to body ratio to ensure minimized, bezels and most comfortable fit in your hand. We also know how important it is to have a camera, that's capable of taking good photos and the 48 megapixel quad rear camera in the 20.

L will help you to take the best shot possible through AI technology. The camera on the TCL, 20 l recognizes and enhances scene and objects for stunning high definition images, while a 16, megapixel selfie camera adds to the fun wherever you are next to make sure all of your information remains private and personal. The tcl20l comes with a fingerprint sensor, built into the power button on the side, thanks to a 5000mah battery. The device can last for two days in typical use, so you don't have to worry about being stuck somewhere without power. It also comes with fast charging capabilities that are optimized by our built-in smart manager, which offers suggestions to optimize performance and battery life, such as turning off certain apps.

Finally, there is one extremely cool feature: I've been really excited to share with you. Let's say it's a beautiful sunny day in the summer, and you're enjoying a picnic at the park or the beach. Normally, you want to wear your sunglasses, but it can be frustrating to try to do anything on your phone, because your display doesn't look quite right. So keep having to take your sunglasses off, which may hurt your eyes. I'm excited to announce that the TCL, 20l and 1020l plus are the very first phones to be certified by twofryland for circular polarization display technology which allows you to see your display perfectly with the natural colors, even while wearing sunglasses.

We are calling this feature natural viewing. One other thing natural viewing can do is reducing eye strain by up to 85 compared to traditional linear polarization display. Now, let's dive into the 20 l plus tcl20l plus, we want you to unleash your vision. The 20l plus features outstanding photography and video capabilities, additional storage and a dozing style for anyone who wants a fashionable phone at good value. How do we deliver down that promise with a superb high-res imaging system and features, including an ultra-high resolution, 64 megapixel camera that provides superb clarity and precise details? The tcl20l plus comes with four rear camera modules.

In addition to the main camera, there is also a macro ultra-wide and depth sensors. The primary high resolution lens provides precision detail even while zooming and delivers incredibly detailed images, regardless of scene's complexity and lighting conditions. What's more, the shots you take retain all the colors detail, even when you're viewed on a larger display, such as televisions or desktop monitors, super night mode makes it easy to capture great photos and videos, even in extremely low light scenarios, whether you're capturing the neon lights of the big city or a stories guy. In the forest, super night mode automatically enhances your images with three times the ambient brightness resulting in vibrant images, full of detail and color, and the selfie camera uses features. We call backlight safety which eliminates washed out photos when you're in the shade or in the sun is behind you, so you can take beautiful shots and always present yourself in your friends in the very best light possible when it comes to performance.

The tcl20l plus has you covered for starters. You'll get plenty of storage space to hold all of your photos and videos, and this phone packs a punch with the built-in Qualcomm snapdragon outscore chipset, and a healthy amount of ram to keep you multitasking, like a jam having a smartphone that performs well, is just part of the equation. Just because it's affordable doesn't mean you can't be proud to pull it out of your pocket or purse. And here the tcl20l plus clearly stands out with a back panel featuring more than a million prismatic crystal pits, creating a dazzling, light reflecting surface that is resistant to fingerprints and scratches proving that beauty and durability can blend seamlessly together before we introduce our next product. We'd also like to briefly share the TCL 20s, which is regionally exclusive, designed specifically for North America.

The 20sp has many similarities to the tcl20l plus and comes with LTE speed enhancements. We will have more information to share about the 20s, including pricing, specs and availability in the coming weeks. Today we are also introducing a new 5g device designed to take its place at the pinnacle of the 20 series. Lineup, the tcl20 pro 5g come home serious. Thank you.

After we launched the TCL 10 pro last year, we listened to a lot of consumer feedback. Much of what we learned was integrated into the TCL 20 pro 5g. As the flagship of the 20 series, the TCL 20 pro 5g features several improvements to display performance, connectivity and design. We are proud to say it's like no other TCL phone that has come before. As you come to expect from TCL, it all starts with the display.

The pcl20 pro 5g has a beautiful curved 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, providing a truly immersive viewing experience along with an all-new next tuition.2.0 intelligent display in next vision, 2.0 TCL's new display, optimization technology, has some amazing features which have the ability to produce stunning pictures present some highly immersive experience. Let's start with the smart picture technology when you're, watching movies or videos, AI visual enhancements can distinguish between various types of scenes. From a bright sunny day in the city, just planning night view where shadows and light mix, the display is able to recognize the environments and adjust colors contrast, sharpness automatically. Next vision also includes SDR to HDR video enhancement, no matter the quality of your video, the tcl20 pro 5g can convert it into a HDR in real time bringing forth more vibrant colors sharper contrast, refined details using advanced technologies like these to improve image. Quality is one of TCL's hallmarks, but when we are capturing photos and videos of our family and friends, we also want to make them as look as natural as possible.

With this. In mind next vision, 2.0 also introduces true flesh tone. This feature can restore the original tone of your skin by separately, enhancing the background lighting sharpness and contrast providing a more lifelike result. Speaking of color the 20 pro 5 cheese, true color displays embedded with industry-leading color management technology that makes it possible to enhance color accuracy even further than before. All of these features incorporated into our next vision, 2.0 technology make for one amazing display and viewing experience, but just don't take our word for it. Independent third-party test, lab Denmark can also test TCL's excellence in visual display technology.

Last year, the lab reviewed the tcl10 pro with next vision and ranked it with a score of 83, placing it first among phones in the same price category this year, Thomas tested the tcl20 pro 5g and gave it a score of 89, driven by the advancements of next vision.2.0. This is a significant improvement that continues to position our leading smartphone above several competitors, some of which cost almost twice as much in today's marketplace. Besides the displays, we also look forward to getting feedback from Denmark for our camera performance. We've made a lot of progress in this area and are confident that you'll be happy with the final results. The TCL 20 pro 5g features several important upgrades over the 10 pro, including a powerful 48 megapixel Sony mix high resolution sensor in the main rear camera, three additional rear camera modules and a HDR enabled 32 megapixel front camera.

It also combines optical image stabilization technology built-in, which allows for smoother photos and videos, making it even easier to produce professional looking photography than the 20 pro 5g. Not only are you going to take these great photos, you'll get even better videos. Thanks to 4k video capture available on the front and rear facing cameras, video HDR will ensure that you get capture cinematic-like details, no matter the lightning environment and super steady mode provides incredible, sharp videos thanks to a stabilization algorithm. The high resolution front-facing camera sensor will make it possible to transform your everyday selfies into 4k video shots. You can even get an excellent backlight shot when you are in dark.

As the name of the phone reveals, the 20 pro 5g comes with the latest generation of connectivity. Not only does it offer great speed, it's also smart with energy saving, dynamic technology that automatically switches between 4g and 5g, based on the data usage and network availability. It's also powered by Qualcomm snapdragon, 750 g chipset, an outscore CPU and with 256 gigabytes of internal memory. You'll have the ability to store plenty of videos and images, and in case you need even more space. You can stick in a micro SD card of up to one terabyte in echo of the one piece design language we introduced earlier, TCL 20 pro 5g takes a brave move to integrate it with its unique design.

Unlike most other phones, you won't see a camera bump on the back, which often causes your phone to wobble back and forth. When it's on a flat surface with the 20 pro 5g, it stays in place, no matter what it has an ultra slim body, simple and elegant back and dual sided 3d glass contour, which makes it extra comfortable to hold in addition to the sophisticated pack. You probably already noticed the elegant surface finish that combines matte and gleaming accents. The tcl20 pro 5g will be available in moon dust gray and marine blue and offers a very sleek and stylish design that can fit into any lifestyle. There is an interesting story behind the unique plot color of the phone.

For a long time, our design team was struggling to find a color that can symbolize the state of relaxation variety and inclusiveness of flies they finally found it, which is the blue color of the Aegean Sea, makes them fall in love at first sight. Over the last two years, they sourced thousands of types of coding material with prototyping in an effort to truly match the color they dream about, and they eventually found the one and only blue color transition which exactly conveys the state of mind. They were looking for it. It is realized, through the original nanometer process, that more than 263 thousand circle line radiates together in response to the presence of ocean soul. We are anticipating, that's how our fantasy comes true, going even further.

We are also introducing two companion accessories today. The first is a transparent edge, flip cover specifically designed for the tcl20 pro 5g. The cover not only protects the phone screen and back from scratches on other damages, but also gives the user the ability to use the case as a horizontal stand to watch and videos and make video calls. In addition to the smartphone case, we want to highlight our move: audio s600 wireless headphones as the perfect audio accessory for the 20 pro 5g available in funds gray to match the smartphone. These earbuds offer hybrid, active noise cancellation and a superior in-ear fit for all-day comfort, along with several other features that make them take calls and listen to music more enjoyable.

They also offer support for Google voice assistant, so calls can be made without even touching your phone. Both of these accessories perfectly complement the 20 pro 5g and further reinforce the notion that design and technology together are necessary to attract today's consumers before we move to the next thing, I'd like to briefly share a bit about our latest efforts with Google. We have worked together for several years and enjoying a wonderful, long-term partnership with them. This year, we teamed up with Google's android enterprise recommended program, ensuring that TCL mobile brand is ready to take on the business world. So it's my pleasure to virtually welcome Bernie from Google hi, I'm Bernie, and I lead android enterprise device partnerships at Google.

I'm really excited to join you today at this launch event to help announce our partnership with TCL through the android enterprise recommended program. Android enterprise recommended is a google-led program that helps businesses confidently, select, manage and deploy the android devices and services that best suit their needs, along with our partners and customers. We've been pleased with the evolution of the program since its launch in 2018. Today, two-thirds of organizations tell us that they currently use the android enterprise recommended program to help inform their device buying decisions. I'm pleased to announce that, along with the TCL 20 pro 5g handsets in the tcl20 series, tablet are also included in the android enterprise recommended program, which means that they join the short list of handsets and tablets that google recommends for business use.

These devices have been valid by google to support all key features of android enterprise, consistency of deployment, experience and UI, and for an OEM commitment to updates, as outlined in our android enterprise solutions directory kudos to the team at TCL for bringing these excellent devices to market, and we are excited to have him join us in the android enterprise recommended program. Pricing starts at 549 euro for the tcl20 pro 5g and 269 euro for the TCL, 20l plus and 229 euro for the tcl20l. Now we are going to turn to an area of great interest for TCL the future.

One of the primary reasons we launched GPL mobile a year and a half ago is because we believe flexible displays, including foldable and drawable displays, are the future of mobile and giving our expertise as part of our vertical integration, with our sister company cost TCL is positioned perfectly as the key player to help usher the industry into this new generation of display innovations. We are committed to exploring all options in this arena as we continue to reimagine the limits and lack thereof of smartphone and tablet design. In the last few years, you have seen us introduce many types of concepts that involve flexible display technology. These prototypes are just a fraction of the more than three dozen concepts we are working on in our labs, and we haven't stopped coming up with innovative ideas. This year at CES, we showed off a brand new scrollable display concept, as well as working rollable smartphone device.

There's, certainly more that we can share with you. For instance, we've shown off concept that features foldable displays concepts that feature rollable displays, but what? If there is a concept that feature both something that could combine a dragon hinge technology and our extensible display into one product well, we are excited to share with you our vision of what that could look like. We call it fold and roll concept fold and roll wow. I just love it, as you just saw TCL's latest next generation concept can fit easily into a pocket, but it can also fall out into a phablet or roll out again into a full-size tablet. This is a true three-in-one device.

We are still exploring the technical specification, but, most importantly, TCL has combined next generation, hinges and mechanics not yet seen in a single device before furthering its continued leadership and design innovation. The last few years we have spent researching and developing devices with revolutionary technology, which has been a very important part of our story, but we are just beginning. We know you are excited to see these products come to life as we are, and we are learning countless new things as we go. Multiple use form factors like the three in one concept you see behind me, are helping motivate and drive us to continue pushing forward and as we learn and improve upon our products, the end result will be foldable and rollable devices that truly make a meaningful difference in your every day's life. We are still on track to launch our first foldable device later this year, and we are very much looking forward to sharing it with you.
