Unboxing The NEW Pixel 2 XL By XDA

Hey guys its Brandon minimum from XD developers here we're super excited to bring you an unboxing of the pixel 2 XL I'm particularly excited about this device, because the pixel X out is still one of the best Android phones. There is, but the design leaves a lot to be desired, pretty ugly design. Nothing really that interesting about it. Also, it's quite thick and quite heavy, but the pixel and the pixel XL still have some of the best touch latency you can get on any Android phone or any phone period in 2017, so the pixel, 2 and pixel 2 XL should continue that incredibly fluid buttery smooth experience, but with a nicer design, a thinner design got some other goodies as well. Let's see we got your project by nope there it is I went on the went with the black on black here. I think to refer to that has murdered out the cool kids right, cameraman team, pixel, okay, try not to cut yourself what that was like gonna, close flip.

Alright, that's what we got hear hear. It is, you know, yeah, you know, I, really, don't I really don't like the Panda look, which is white and black I, think that'll be cool for a while and once the novelty wears off. I think you'll like to appreciate something more traditional like black and black, something that matches I can already tell this feels lighter and thinner than the previous generation picks like, so I got a little scale here, we'll check that out in a minute super nice with the front-facing speakers. This phone is based on the LG v 30, but it just it seems more simple than the V 30 we've got curved glass here. We've got the corner the edges of the screen that are rounded well.

The back has so much texture to it. That reminds me of it kind of reminds me of what they did on the OnePlus 5 with the kind of sandstone texture, but much more coarse. I would go so far as to say that the back of the pixel 2 almost feels like very court. Very smooth, sandpaper, really nice feeling some people are plastic, but I love it. I think it's really.

Nice really nice phone super squarish actually doesn't feel terribly ergonomic before we do a little scale test to see what else is in a box no headphone jack, but you knew that already don't eat any of this see how many that's what we get here. I do not like to see these. These are so easy to lose. Just like the first pixel, it's USBC male, not like most other phones, which are USB I. Think it's a to see.

So that's good that helps to your know, keep things consistent. Here's the charging, brick the white color here over last year. If you got a blue pixel, you got blue color accents here on the charger. I guess that's not the case this year, because this is white, and this is black, see what the output is here. Two amps it does a fist charging.

Okay, let's just turn it on for a sec and do the little scale test that looks pretty nice huge screen almost 6 inches 2880 by 1440, one of the highest resolution screen phones. Now that we're getting the taller displays, we can get more pixels, so I'm not really going to set up the phone now just want to check the weight here. So here is a scale. It feels a little lighter than the pics like cell, not like a tremendous amount. So let's just do a little ? a little test here, 165 166 grams on the pixel itself.

Remember that camera man and then it's heavier. That's so funny I! Guess the weights distributed differently because it really feels like the pixel 2xl is lighter. But it's not it's actually about what 10 grams heavier man. When I pick this up, you really feel this texture on the back. It makes it pretty drippy I would say, except I, just almost dropped the phone.

Ok, so I'll get the setup. We'll do some more videos later, but it's really nice that optical image stabilization this year, single camera, this capable of portrait mode. So you do not need two cameras to do. Portrait mode, fingerprint placement, nice and centered at the top that'll be good I, like I appreciate how off to the right and the left. These speakers are really will help with stereo separation, they're really pushed to the absolute edge.

Let's see, power button is not textured volume rocker on the right side, nanoohm, just really nice, just like you know, which is really nice very simple design there to the 1+5 a little more fancy I would say, because it's got the rounded edges and the curved screen or the know rounded edges of the screen deeper black than the 1 + 5, which is difficult because the black on the 1 plus 5 is like extremely dark. Isn't it but like on the pixel? It's even darker. This is a dark. This is like the darker shade of black I've ever seen on a phone really love. How small this window is, which we've learned really helps with signal and on the pixel.

The first pixel this window on the black model is gray, alright, so kind of like a dark gray like a milky, gray, pixel ? and fix it to XL. It's true black.
