Today is the 13th of November, which is a pretty exciting day for people who enjoy eating apples, because it's the first day we can officially get our hands on the iPhone 12 Pro max. As you know, the iPhone 12 and 12 pro have been in circulation for a while now, but this, the big boy now before we unbox this, it's a much thinner box this time around which everybody is expecting just for comparison. This is last year's box. The iPhone 11 Pro max. This is how much slimmer it is anyway. Size of the box is just one thing: another major thing that I'm most excited about aside from the smaller box.
Whatever reason on this iPhone is their ability to shoot, 10-bit, HDR, adobe vision, video on your phone, which has kind of forced me to produce this video in HDR. So if you're watching this on a HDR compliant screen make sure you play back in HDR, I think it's this corner make sure you see that little HDR logo there, and I will end this review with some HDR footage of this on this. Let's get this open. Let's get this open! We don't have a racer. We don't need one if you've unboxed any apple product before you would know, you never need a racer green pull tab pull.
It should just pop out like that. That was completely not intentional, but hey. We've accelerated the unboxing just like last year, camera bump facing up looks very similar to my 11 pro max. If you don't notice, uh the not rounded corners there we go screen protector is white this time round. If I didn't get it wrong, last year's was a clear plastic, but let's put this near the mic, we go uh a type c to lightning cable and I want those stickers, sim, ejector tool, big apple sticker, and that's it so the phone before I power this on: let's do a side by side with the 11 pro max.
So if I hold them up a very particular way, it's kind of hard to tell which one's which, especially both of these, are coming in, not the same color actually for information. This 11 pro max comes in space gray. This iPhone 12 Pro max is no longer space grade. This is now called graphite, but right off the bat 12 pro max is noticeably bigger and the camera bombs seem to be a fair bit bigger as well yep. The camera bump is definitely bigger.
Let me try and show the b camera here, so the whole unit in general has grown a little we'll get more b-roll of that. Okay, let's power this on and shoot some video on it. For the very first time it's going to take a while Apple logo. It works. It works, oh hello, and I wasn't expecting to notice how much of a difference not having rounded edges on the screen makes but um it does make a difference, apparently all right.
Finally, I'm in the home screen uh, let me make sure it shoots in the format I wanted to shoot in 4k 24 fps, so it matches our main cameras. HDR video record up to 60 fps video in 10 bit high dynamic range, including Dolby Vision here- goes nothing camera, I'm going to roll a clip and hand it off. Here we go you're watching HDR footage from the brand new iPhone 12 Pro that I haven't even gotten to properly try out yet, but no worries. Rest assured full review is coming soon and if you've been a follower of this channel, you will know that that review is going to be all about that camera. So I can bet you that's coming soon.
Do let me know down in the comments. What would you like to know or find out or learn from that review about the new iPhone 12 Pro max? That's it for today make sure you check out some of my other videos before you go otherwise. Otherwise,.
