Hey everybody welcome back to tech odyssey. So today, I'm here to talk about the fantastic amazing brand new Samsung Galaxy tab, s7 plus it is by far the best Samsung tablet ever made, and in fact it is the best android tablet out on the market. Right now it has the best processor, the snapdragon 865 plus you can get a 5g model if you want it has a 120 hertz display rate AMOLED, screen, quad HD plus resolution, it's beautiful four speakers. It has the s pen with lower latency than ever it's on par with the iPad Pro 9 milliseconds, but it has one big problem, and we're going to talk about that, but before we get into that, I do want to say if this is your first time stopping by the channel. I appreciate you being here if you enjoy the video please hit the like and the subscribe button and the little notification bell. If you want updates when new videos come out now, let's talk about the tab, s7 plus all right, all right, all right, I'm not going to keep you in suspense anymore.
What is the big problem with the brand-new tablet? It's too big see it's a really nice tablet, but this whole 12.4-inch screen thing. It is massive and if you watch my unboxing and first impressions, video, the first thing I really commented on when it came to this tablet was just how tremendously large it was, especially in comparison to the tab s6. So I've been using the tab s6 for quite a while totally love it. But when you put these two side by side, you can see that there are some significant size differences here and some people might say. Okay, well, isn't that good? We want huge tablets, that's what they're for they're, not phones! Well, there comes to a point where it gets just a little too big, and I think that we have finally reached that point with this.
Now the 11-inch model might not be so bad with the tab s7. Maybe it is maybe it's not. I haven't handled that one, but this one right here, it's just really too big to do a lot of anything with like. If you put it on a stand. Okay, that's fine! You can sit there, you can watch it.
You can consume media. Furthermore, you can tap on it with the s pen, all that good stuff, if you have it in laptop mode with DEX and the keyboard, which is really nice. I've got the keyboard case that came with it. Easy connects with the magnets on the bottom, and then you effectively have a laptop replacement. This is super powerful.
The snapdragon 865 plus, is a beast when it comes to power. When it comes to gaming, you can use this as a portable gaming setup, especially now with to connect, your Xbox controller, you can use Xbox game pass for cloud gaming, it's really sweet. There are a lot of cool things. Drawing you can do, video editing, you can export 4k. This will do whatever you want, even with the 10 000 William battery, but when you're just using it as a tablet, it makes things kind of difficult.
Now I don't have the largest hands in the world by any stretch of the imagination, but I mean I said normal size guy hands. I guess I cannot really type on this thing with two thumbs at all, and a tablet is still a communication device. I like to use mine when I'm laying in bed at night. Furthermore, I used to do that with my tab. S6 all the time using this for the last couple of nights, I'm sitting there, and I'm like I can't even reach across and touch all the letters on the keyboard whenever it pops up on the screen.
So I can't really tweet on it, I'm having to use like the swipe typing with or the glide typing, whatever you want to call it with the s pen, but that's not my preferred method, and it's just not that great whenever it comes to trying to type on this thing and if you're trying to reach things. Good luck with that too, because when you try to reach up there's so much screen real estate, now you can, I can barely reach the bottom row of the icon. So it's really nice in principle, it's really cool having a 12.4 inch display, quad, HD, plus it's beautiful. This is the best tablet I've ever used for watching videos or even for like playing some games, but even trying to play games on it that require your thumbs is a little on the difficult side. There's so much screen real estate.
You can't really reach over and play the games very well, so I like what they did, but I don't necessarily know that just normal people sat down and like all right. Let me try and do some day-to-day tasks on this thing and see how well that works out like laying in bed at night. It's also, it's really heavy. I mean this sucker is gigantic, so trying to do anything you're holding it up while you're laying in bed, please don't fall asleep while you're using this and let it smash into your face. That will be a very unpleasant event.
A very, very unpleasant event be wary. So it's just one of those things when it comes down to usability as a tablet, it's kind of like. Yes, I'm glad that technology has pushed the boundaries, I'm glad that we have really cool stuff. Now, with these amazing screens and all the wonderful things you can do with it, but then it's like their kind of things I can't do with as well now so like with my tab s6, it was like the perfect size. I could do so much with it.
You can reach all the way across. It's really, really lightweight and that's even with the case on it. Ergonomics on this were very good, but when you put them side by side here, you can see that there's kind of a very big size difference, and it's just when, when that translates into real world use, I think that it's problematic, and it may look cool if you're looking to get one of these definitely go to best, buy or go somewhere where you can get your hands on one first to kind of get a feel for it to decide. If this is something that you can live with, because it may not necessarily be something that you're cool with like you order it on the internet, it shows up, and you're like wow. This is amazing, except I can barely reach like two icons while I hold the bottom of it, if you like to do things like that, involve typing with your thumbs and a lot of normal things that you would do on a tablet that don't involve the s pen or just watching things on it or like drawing or connecting a keyboard.
You may find some difficulty and that's what I wanted to talk about with this tablet and the big problem. It's a big problem, because it's a big tablet. So that's all I've got with regard to this video and, if you're looking into getting this one. Maybe that might give you some good insight and don't get me wrong. I totally love it.
It is the best tablet that Samsung has ever made. I loved my s6. I really love the s7 plus, but having used it for a couple of days now it does concern me about like long-term use, because I like the 120 hertz display, but I like how much easier this is to hold and use as opposed to this, and I don't want to drop to the tab s7 because it has an LCD screen and I really like having the AMOLED display just a personal preference. Maybe you might feel differently about it or not care, but that's all I've got on my video about the tab. F7 plus, if you have any questions or comments, or maybe you've had a similar, realization or experience if you as you've, used yours at home, and it is concerning to you too, please feel free to sound off in the comments section I'll get back with you.
