I showed you guys the TCL 10 Pro a couple of weeks ago. Today, we've got two even more budget-friendly 10l. So how much does it cost and what does it have? Let's find out if you're looking for tech reviews that give you the information you actually care about, then hit that subscribe button and be sure to turn on a notification bell. So you don't miss a thing. So, yes, we checked out the 10 Pro a little while ago. That's the one that I asked for first, because I was more intrigued by the 450 price tag and what it came with.
But uh the company hit me up and said: hey. We got some more 10 Ells in stock. These are the even more budget-friendly versions of the 10 Pro, but the specs on it are absolutely amazing. So let's get into the box and show you guys exactly what this looks like, so I think I'm even more excited to show you guys the 10 L compared to the 10 Pro, because this does have some pretty special specs to it. So, let's see what's in the box here, you got the sim tray removal tool, which is always good and again 250 dollar device, and they're, giving you a case.
How nice is that you definitely can't go wrong there, and you have the device itself which we'll take a look at in a moment. You also get the cable, which is USB, C, 2, USB a so again a super budget device coming in with a USB cable. Honestly, really don't think you can go wrong with that, and the price tag that it comes in with, so I'm super excited to see exactly how it works and what difference it brings to the table. You get a wall wart which again something you don't see in a lot of budget devices. We will take a look at exactly what the charging capabilities of this are, if it's any less or better than the pro itself and I think that is it for the box.
So let's go ahead and turn the device on and take a quick peek around I got to say it is very premium feeling any device that I have had out there. Very, very nice for the price so as this is turning on, I want to go ahead and just take a quick peek around this device, and the back here is a little different. The camera hump does stick out just a little, unlike the 10 Pro, which I, don't think sticks out at all. I have to take a look at that. You do have a fingerprint scanner on the back, which I actually really like this idea, especially if you have it in your pocket, you can go ahead and reach it out, and you've already got your finger on it ready to go always a big hit for me.
In my opinion, right off the bat you can see here that there is a lens on the front, I'm thinking it was a scratch there. It's actually already has a screen protector on it, which is very nice. So as that's doing the updates, let's go ahead and continue looking around the vise. Definitely a fingerprint magnet on the back, but look at that color of that phone I, absolutely love that it changes as the light hits it very, very cool and on the sides here you have your sleep/wake button in your volume rockers when I was using the 10 pro I did bump those a little so something that will take you definitely some getting used to if you're trying to turn it off or turn it on. You might end up hitting these as opposed to those, or you want to do the volume rockers when it's on.
You might end up putting the phone to sleep. So just a heads-up for that. You do have your multifunction button over here on the bottom. We do have our USB-C port, as well as our speaker in the microphone which is uniformed looking on the bottom there, which is very nice and that's pretty much Oh a headphone jack I did that on purpose. Sorry that wasn't a funny joke.
But yes, it does come with a headphone, jack and overall I do feel like the device is nice and light. It is definitely larger, then say the iPhone SE, which again I do have in a case here, and we're talking. You know a little more expensive device, different OS. Obviously, so you are comparing a little the apples to oranges here, but we are going to compare the cameras between East to for the simple fact that this is a same price range as far as budget goes, but as far as software, it really is going to depend on what it is that you want out of device. But again you know we compared this already to the 10 Pro, and it is just a little bigger, but you do have a little more screen real estate as far as the device goes.
If you don't want a super tiny phone, so let's go ahead and set up the fingerprint sensor, so we'll place my finger, and we'll see how well that does, and it seems to be working pretty well move your finger around on the back, and it is given a little of feedback to let you know that you're placing it right. If you don't, it will tell you on the bottom there that you need to move it around, or you're doing it too fast, so fingerprint at it. That's pretty darn quick, in my opinion, I'm really happy with that, and, of course, like I, always do I like to add the other hand as well, but we'll do that later on. They also have faced unlock that is very interesting. I did not realize that we'll go ahead and set this up.
Look at my face. They did it continue face. Unlock is registered turn it on that's, actually, pretty cool, adding to finishing touches, use your dominant hand is the right hand, so you'll have the back button right there in front of it, which is actually very nice. A at vision, help you improve your multimedia visual game experience, which makes your screen brighter yeah sure, let's go for. Why not home screen and drawer screen home screen only I like to have the drawer screen I, actually think that's pretty cool something that I do miss on the iPhone I do like to have a drawer on there, which I think is very nice.
Okay, we'll go ahead and skip that later, we'll finish the terms and conditions sure why not, and why not I don't have anything logged in yet, so we'll set that up later on, as I start messing around with the phone and let's see here, we got okay, we are what's out of 90%. I would guess I got to say, I, think that screen looks pretty darn good as I turn up towards me. It definitely gets brighter as I tilt it towards you guys to look at the screen up above here. It does get a little of a tint to it, and you see the same thing that I'm, seeing when I turn it up towards me. You see it gets just a little darker, so the angle does change a little as you're looking at it.
If that's something that you like to look at your phone down like that on the table, and you're looking at it on an angle, you might be a little annoyed and might want to turn that up I'm anxious to see how this works out. As far as the brightness goes now, I will typically turn up my brightness on my devices and again about 90 percent. As you can see, I have there on my iPhone, but as far as specs go I'll go ahead and leave this down below we'll get into more of the specs as I review the phone and go through that. But the camera quality on this from what I heard is actually pretty special, a 48 megapixel lens. Now we all know the megapixels on a camera are only as good as the phone power inside that's processing.
Those pictures to make them look good because again, you're not using a DSLR type or a mirrorless type lens that actually has the focal range and everything in it, I mean those are large lenses, even at the smallest lenses. You've got something inside. That's this, then, taking the same pictures that you want to get from a camera which you're not going to it's going to be close. However, the processing power in the phone equally is important as what you're getting on the lenses. Now they have done some great things with lenses and cameras and phones, and you can definitely can see the difference as the years move on the iPhone SE 20/20 is no different.
The processing power Apple has done with this absolutely phenomenal. Now I've switched back to the 11pro Macs, as my main driver. Putting this away for now, I went on vacation and I took that with me, because I wanted the extra battery power I missed that camera a lot a lot and the processing power in that camera. With that lens combination, absolutely insane I'm anxious to see how this works out now I did do a comparison already between the iPhone SE 20/20 and the 10 Pro I'm editing that that'll be up in a probably out a week or two I'll. Do these two as well considering they are more in the same price range as close as you can get and again, yes, I understand that the operating systems are different, but we're just doing cameras and I have a lot of other cameras coming up as well.
If you want to see me unbox the 10 Pro and get in a little of that, go ahead and click that video right here and, of course, don't forget to hit that subscribe button. I want to thank you guys for joining me. You take it easy and have a good day.
