TCL 10 5G UW (Verizon Wireless SPEED Test) By BTech Reviews

Hey guys this is mike from tech reviews. I hope you guys can hear me. Okay, uh. I am shooting in my car here because I came to an area where uh it says that I have a 5g connection and again this phone is the TCL 10 5g UW, which stands for ultra-wide band right, and it's branded as a 5g device, and this device is actually uh Verizon wireless. By the way, so I actually came and parked outside Verizon wireless um. You know because uh I wanted uh to make that clear that this is on Verizon's network, so keep in mind.

I live in south Texas, which you know. I don't know how strong the 5g is, but according to this, this is connected to 5g. But if you look at this uh, this is kind of a tweeter between 4g, LTE and 5g, and I've actually already run several speed tests over here, which, which is kind of weird, that this switch. This switch is off between 4g LTE, but on the speed test app it tell it says that it's Verizon wireless 4g LTE, so I'm going to assume uh that this is only running off the 4g LTE network. But again, as you can see there, it kind of switched back and forth.

So I'm going to go ahead and press go on here. Hopefully my stabilization, okay, I feel, like my hands, are a little shaky right now and again. This is my. This is on my lap, I'm sitting in my car uh. This is Verizon's 5g in south Texas, I'm from Hidalgo County.

So again, if you guys are familiar with that area code is 956, google it. If you want, as you can see there, you know the 5g, that's the download speed right now with Verizon um, and I'm going to maybe tweet at Verizon. What's going on here, dude because again this is a brand and I don't think it's the device. I really think it's you know with the area uh where I live. But again I want to give TCL a big shout out for sending out this device.

You know what I mean uh just because hold on. Can I zoom in a little further? So that's my download speed right now. This is uh right now it's about 2 20 in the afternoon. Let's go to my results, really quick. So it's saying that I was on a LTE connection there, even though up here it says it's 5g, so we already know that a lot of uh, even though it says 5gs a lot of companies will say it's 5g up here.

It'll still be running on other LTE bands. Now I have had some 5g signal connections here, as you can see here so my fastest 5g time uh so far probably has been on the 46 download which to me that's not very good, considering that's 5g, but again I don't know. I can't tell you which band this is running on. I'm sorry, I'm not going to give you guys all that in-depth information here for those of you guys who are stickler for bands or whatever um that's uh. You know this is uh, probably uh, not on a 5g band, or it's running on LTE or something like that.

I'm not again, I'm not familiar with all these, so excuse that let's run one more test, and maybe I'll change the network here just to see if that does anything here, because it was originally connecting to San Antonio. Oh, there we go it's going up a little, but really you know I mean this is pretty much like spa level speeds, which is not that good to be honest, 3g speeds and again this is Verizon wireless which is base. They claim to be the best network, or they claim, or a lot of people claim that they're the best network in the US. But clearly this is not the case uh with I have the T-Mobile rebel 5g and the revel 5g, which is from T-Mobile, which a lot of people complain about T-Mobile, also that one gets most during the day I get to get 60 to 100, meg, download speed and in the evening I get even higher over 200. So this is the result on the 5g.

Let's go ahead and change uh networks, really quick. Let me go ahead and exit out there and again, I'm not knocking on the device whatsoever that I really don't blame the device. Let's click the San Antonio uh, Texas, um, and this will be my last. This will be my last one so far for the day and again, I'm sorry. If my hands are shaking, I feel like they're shaking a little.

I should have brought a tripod or something like that. The San Antonio uh server not doing very well either. Obviously, that's 300 miles away, so I'm not really going to get a good connection there, but that's just really sad like, and I wanted to run several tests for you guys in different parts of towns just to see how it would do it's really not doing uh too well. Absolutely, right here, um and again I came out here because, like this is like the center of the city where I live, and it's you know it's supposed to have good speeds right now, I'm having better upload speeds than download speeds, which is kind of sad again. I don't know.

What's going on Verizon again, this is Verizon's network. If I scroll down here see if I can figure that out really quick sell your cellular data just to prove that I am on Verizon's network over here uh, let's see mobile, calling network mobile network data roaming- okay, maybe it's not saying that it's on Verizon, but this is a Verizon uh device. Again, let's see it's got that little check mark back there on the back, so that that it is on Verizon's network. I'm surprised it's not giving me uh more information about the network. Actually, network settings, okay, but any who I mean I think that I kind of find that just kind of sad.

It says it's on 5g data, and again it goes on back and forth between the 5g data, so guys again just a quick video, I'm sorry for the shakiness. If I, if it is shaking, hopefully my phone fixes the shakiness, it is an iPhone 11, so usually they're, pretty good uh, but again guys uh, just uh, you know take it with a grain of salt. You know this speed. Tests are really catered to the area where you live. I live in south Texas, where maybe the 5g uh bands are not great just yet or the 5g is not up.

It's got to be. You know this is an ultra ultra-wide band phone. But again maybe these lower bands on the networks are or what it's connecting to, because you can see here that again it's connecting to 4g LTE so again guys just a quick test.
