Should you WAIT for Mi 11 Pro? By Frankie Tech

Hi guys it's Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again, and I'm here approaching day 10 with the 11 and what a tremendous phone and what a tremendous time it's been reviewing this phone on the channel and in today's video I want to address the question that, besides the big question of when is the global release of this phone, I've been getting more than any other. Should I wait for the mi 11 pro, or should I go ahead and pick up this me 11 right now, and I think the reason why this question keeps coming up is that you guys see how tremendous a phone this me 11 is, and you only imagine how much even better a 11 pro could be, and so I just want to share some key highlights of where I think the 11 pro will be a step above this me 11 and, ultimately, whether it's a good idea to wait for that me 11 pro or go ahead and jump for this Xiaomi mi 11, which is one of the best phones that I've ever tested here on the channel? Let's have a look so the number one reason you would want to wait for the mi 11 pro versus this me 11 is, I think, the storage and performance capabilities of that phone compared to this one. Now the mi 11 regular comes at the 8128 GB based storage variant, and you have up to 12 256, but you don't have any options beyond that. Now it's 2021, and I think we're gonna- see phones from Samsung and eventually apple that are gonna, be offering 512 heck. Maybe even one terabyte options now look for most of you, 128 gigs is probably enough, but I think we will see a 12 gig 256 gig option standard on the mi 11 pro, but I do think the storage capabilities of a pro device is one thing you may be waiting for on the me11 pro and after having used a 12, 256 gig me 10 ultra. It is a joy to have that much storage on a phone, so I do think the mi 11 pro will have much higher storage capabilities and that's one reason you might want to wait.

And the second reason- and I think this is a big one- is the battery and charging capabilities. Now I don't think the battery capacity of the mi 11 pro is gonna, be any larger than what we see here on the me11 and overall, this phone is lasting me easily six to seven hours of screen on time every day with the who plus 120 hertz display, and let's face it guys, I don't think the mi 11 pro is going to bring anything different when it comes to the soc to the display or to the dual speakers that are already found in this phone. But one thing I know a lot of you were waiting for was to see those meat 10 ultra charging capabilities brought to the mi 11 series. In the case of this me, 11 it maxes out at 55 watts, fast charging, 50, watts wireless, and so I think one clear area where the me11 pro could take. The advantage is by introducing once again that 120 watt fast charging that we saw on the mi 10 ultra, but there's also been reports of potentially 80 watt wireless charging on the mi 11 pro, which is absolutely insane, and yet it may be this fast charging that is actually causing the delay of this me 11 pro on the market.

Recent reports suggest that, because of Xiaomi's insistence to introduce this spec into their pro phone, the mi 11 pro may be delayed to later this year. Now, personally, for me, I'm very happy with 55 watt fast charging on this me 11, and I do think there's something to be said also about battery longevity. If you're charging your phone so quickly, all the time does that affect battery life. But that being said, if your priority is to have the fastest charge, then you'll definitely want to wait for the m11 pro series and last but not the least guys. The top reason why you would want to wait for the mi 11 pro are the cameras and don't get me wrong.

The mi 11 has terrific cameras you've seen from my camera comparisons. This camera setup goes toe to toe with the 12 pro max and while it doesn't reach the levels of that phone, I think it's very much competitive. It's a solid 108, megapixel main camera and ultra-wide setup on this phone. But how could a me11 pro actually improve on this setup? Well, first, you could reintroduce the Univision of 48c 48 megapixel sensor, that was on the mi 10 ultra. That was just a terrific gigantic sensor and delivered better results than this me 11 and the ultra white on the m11 isn't bad, but I do think, including the better ultra-wide on the mi 11 pro would make perfect sense.

But, most importantly here is this macro camera? What's the use of it, I really don't think it needs to exist, and so what I want to see on the me11 pro is a really great telephoto, maybe even two telephotos one, which is more focused on portrait, shots and then a periscope telephoto, which would actually bring five or even ten times optical zoom to that camera setup, and that would truly be the next generation camera that all of you guys have been waiting for. It's definitely the number one reason why I would want to pick up a Xiaomi mi 11 pro, but it looks like we may be delayed on the launch of this me 11 pro, and so I guess it's time to ask yourself: do you want to use what I consider the best phone of 2021 so far today or even this week? Or do you want to wait potentially a couple of months for a 11 pro that will be released with all of those better specs, while in previous years guys? I was pretty adamant about saying: go for the pro the mete10 pro in that case over the 10. This time, I'm actually a bit more hesitant to say it. This me 11 just takes all the boxes of what I would want in a flagship phone and yes minus the telephoto and maybe the slightly faster charging. I don't think that you're really compromising on much by picking up this phone, and so yes, while I do plan on reviewing the me11 pro when it does come out, I do think this may be one of those cases where you may as well go for it and, in my opinion, you will be so happy that you picked up this me 11 today and start enjoying this incredible who, plus 120 hertz display and all the other amazing features of this phone, but hit me up in the comments me 11 versus me, 11 pro, which would you pick and if you are waiting for the MIA 11 pro.
