Selling My Razer Phone?! Full Review

Hey guys and gals it's right here from our well cooked, but epic, droid, comm, and we're here today to talk about the brand-new razor phone. No, we are not talking about the old Motorola Razr flip phone that your mom and dad used to use that came out decades ago. We're talking about this beast here, the razor phone, the razor phone is advertised as a phone that is built for gamers and I, got to tell you guys it lives up to that promise. The phone is a literal beast: it comes with the highest specs, an amazing high-end display, powerful speakers and a gigantic battery. The razor phone performed insanely well and offered one of the best experiences that I have ever had on a mobile device, but despite all of this I think I'm going to be selling it here soon. Don't get me wrong, I, really like my razor phone I, like it a lot, so why am I getting rid of it? Let's dive into the video and, let's see, so the razor phone comes to us from the company razor is a company better known for making gaming systems peripherals and other accessories all focused on gaming and January of this year of 2017.

They acquired the company next bit. Next bit was the company behind the cloud-based smartphone, the next bit Robin. When the acquisition was announced, the gaming community blew up with excitement and the hope that Racer was going to use their next bit acquisition to enter the mobile world. It's now a little less than a year later, it's 11 months to be exact, and we now have the razor phone. The razor phone is a nearly solid brick of aluminum.

It has an original blocky shape and unabashed sharp edges and, honestly, it's kind of refreshing I am tired of everybody, copying everybody else, and it's nice to see someone trying something new. Yes, the next bit Robin came with a very similar shape, but razor perfected it, and they put it in that aluminum body. That just looks awesome. The razor phone features dual front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. They are literally the loudest speakers that I have ever used on a mobile device.

Not only are they loud, but they sound good too. The display is a 5.7 inch, IPS LCD with a resolution of 1440 by 2560. But what really causes the display to shine is the 120 Hertz refresh rate. It makes the whole device seem much snappier and much more fluid than other devices with similar specs. The razor phone comes with an outscore Qualcomm MSM 8 9, 9, 8, Snapdragon, 835, processor, 8, gigs of memory and 64 gigs of on-board storage.

It also comes with a micro SD slot that can add up to 2 terabytes of expandable storage and the powering. All of that is an insanely massive, four thousand William per hour battery. There are a lot of things to love about the razor phone and, if I had to pick my top three, it would have to be to display the speakers and the body of the phone. The phone is comfortable in the hand, and it has become my favorite mobile device for watching movies or videos and listening to music. My only real complaint about the phone is the placement of the power button, the fingerprint scanner and the weight of the phone.

The problem with the power button is that it sits in a very awkward position. It's on the right side of the phone, but it's in the very middle of it, and it's difficult to hold the phone when turning on with my right hand, it is worth noting. I had no problems when I use my left hand. The other issue with the power button is that also doubles as the fingerprint scanner, and it only works when the screen is on. You have to power on the screen to be able to use it, and it's highly accurate, and it is easy to use it, but you have to turn on the screen first, so you have to find the power button and turn it on before.

You can actually use it now. Those three things aren't really a big deal. None of them are dealbreakers. The other features on the phone far outweigh any of the annoyances that I have with it. So why am I getting rid of my razor phone? It's not because of any problem with the phone, but more the fact that there really isn't anything out there that can take advantage of the power of the phone.

You could almost say that the razor phone is too much bone. Razor has been very, very careful to say that this is a phone made for gamers, not that the phone is made for gaming. Yes, it could be made for gaming, but there are no Android games out there that even come close to using the resources. The razor phone provides. The phone could be advertised as being made for gaming, but there need to be a lot more games out there before they start advertising it that way.

I personally am NOT a big mobile gamer and since there aren't really a lot of apps out there that take advantage of the phone I'm going to be selling it, so that somebody who has more of a need for it can take advantage of it. In the meantime, the razor phone is an awesome debut for razor, and I am going to be watching razor very closely to see what else come out with. My hope is that they partner up with NVIDIA and come out with something like GeForce now for Racer devices. If they do that, I would be all over it, and you would have to pry that phone from my cold dead fingers. So now we answer the question: do I recommend the Racer phone? If you were a gamer who needs a high-end phone or a power user who needs the absolute best in specs, absolutely get the phone while it's hot, we'll have a link in the description down below so that you can order yours.

So if you're, just an average user or someone who's, not much into gaming, I would suggest holding off and getting something that is a little cheaper or waiting for the price to go down on the racer phone. If you have the funds go for it, it's an awesome phone again, it's just a phone made for gamers, not a phone made for gaming. Now, if you guys have any questions about the Racer phone feel free to hit us up in the comment section down below and when it's those questions as we are available. If this video has been helpful to you, please, wherever to give us a thumbs up, remember to share it with your friends and, as always, just want to tell you guys. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for all your support, and you all have an awesome day.
