Samsung Galaxy Note 20 - Unboxing By DanieBoy's Tech

Hey guys and gals Danny boy here, and I've got a new phone to unbox today, and this is going to be the Samsung Galaxy note 20. This is the base model, note 20. This is the one I decided to go with, and I'm pretty excited about this phone. The last new Galaxy Note device I had personally been the Galaxy Note 8. So it's been quite a while, since I've had a Galaxy Note device, the Galaxy Note: 8 was a great device for its time. But now here is the Galaxy Note.20. Of course, I took advantage of Samsung's trade-in program.

I was able to trade in my Google Pixel 3 XL for 400. And that's pretty good price here in the summer of 2020 for that phone. So that gave me a substantial discount of this phone. Basically, I only had to put out 599 for it. So that's perfect and then, on top of that, Samsung gave me a hundred dollar credit and accessories for the phone.

So I got three different cases went a little over that spent 125, but uh. So basically, three cases for me for 25 bucks, and we know that the Samsung cases are some of the best cases that there are so pretty excited here. Guys, like I said, it's been a while, since I've had a new Galaxy Note device, so, lets uh, let me go ahead and crack this box open and, let's see what's inside here all right. Thank you for your order. There, okay, all right, packaged up pretty nice here and let's see the first case here.

Yes, I went with the met. Color s view flip cover here. I think this looks really nice with the time and date and battery on the outside there, and I think it even does your notifications there so pretty excited to try that out and uh man. This is like Christmas morning. I must say, um, let's see which case this is oh, yes, this is the rugged protective cover.

I really like the way this looked on the website. When I was ordering so decided to go with it. It's got a built-in kickstand, that's pretty sweet! You don't see that very often in a Samsung case, at least I haven't. So this looks really nice anxious to try that out and uh. Let's see the final case here, um see what we got.

Okay, so we've got this soft cover. I'm not exactly sure how you pronounce that, so I'm not even going to try, but this is what we got its kind of a soft material. Here again I went with a gray color here. I think this looks really nice and, as I'm seeing with this case and the other cases, this looks like it's going to be a pretty big phone, a little bigger than I was expecting. But that's fine! That's all good! Just you never know when you haven't seen the phone in person before you just don't know what you're dealing with so, lets uh look at the phone here now all right.

So here we are galaxy. Note 20 here: okay, pretty nice box here, okay, if I flip it over unlocked, I did go with the unlocked version, but you can see it's pretty just basic packaging here. Nothing um! You know spectacular here, but what's spectacular should be on the inside right, so let me go ahead and get this box open, and we'll see what the phone looks like here. Okay guys, so I got the seals broken on the box, I'm about to lift it here for the first time and let's see what we got going on here, all right, there's the phone wow, okay, wow, okay! This is um pretty different from I was expecting. It's definitely a bit bigger than I was expecting feels very, very premium here guys, and I'm really digging this flat display.

I mean this is really, really good here, guys: okay, so wow um, wow, okay, so nice chrome, looking sides here, it actually looks like the uh back panel, here kind of comes at the side of the phone in kind of unique curved way that I've never seen before, definitely unique. Here, okay, it looks like we got our sim tray there. I don't think this phone has a micro SD card slot. I think they got rid of that on this version. Of course, we got our s pen here now.

It is on the left side of the phone for the first time I think ever maybe on a Galaxy Note got our speaker here also on the left side. So that's different looks like we got USB type c and a microphone there. Okay, so on this side, looks like we've got standard affair here, power button and single volume, rocker, okay, wow all right. So let me flip the phone over here and let's see what we got going on wow. Okay, now this is the black version of the phone, and it's more of like an oh, it's more of a gray, almost like a gun, metal, gray or a dark gray.

Um. Definitely a gray looking color here, maybe ever so slightly a tinge of green kind of like a forest green, almost maybe like in this house in here. I don't know it just almost looks like that. I don't think it's quite there, but, as you can see, with the design around the volume rocker and the power button there, it kind of the chrome kind of dips down and then goes back. In other words, there's a tremendous attention to detail.

I'm noticing, with this phone now the camera hump, is pretty substantial there, but then again that that kind of shows that the phone is premium right. Okay, so pretty nice here, guys um, pretty impressed got Samsung branding there uh not really seeing any um Galaxy Note logo here anywhere. Okay, so that's definitely interesting, but uh yeah, guys um, so I'll go ahead and get this baby fired up, but it definitely um definitely is a bit taller, I guess and bigger than I expected it to be, but I guess it is a 6.7 inch display here. So I mean what should I expect right? I mean that's what you kind of expect before we uh turn the phone on here uh. Let's look at what's in the box here: okay, we've got a huge charging, brick here.

Okay, this looks really nice superfast charging, okay, um, let's see if we can get the wattage seems to me like it's a 25 watt, but I'm not for certain on it. I think it's a 25 watt, something like that. It's definitely big. If it says superfast, it must be pretty darn fast, because we already know that Samsung charging is really fast right. So, let's see what's in here anything and I think that's just box filler.

There so looks like just our USB type c standard cable affair here, guys so yeah box. You know not a lot going on here inside the box, but that's all right. I mean it is what it is here, guys no headphones um. So that's definitely not in here. Um, don't see any headphone dongle either, because there is no headphone jack on the phone, so it would have been kind of nice to get the headphone dongle, but it is what it is okay, but this looks like a perfect setup here guys.

So let me um fire the phone on just so. We can see the display here now the weight on the phone. It feels a little heavier again than I thought it would. It feels pretty premium um the back of the phone here. Yeah, that's definitely plastic feeling, because this is a kind of hybrid plastic back.

Okay. That does not feel like glass to me, but the front of the phone and the sides of the phone feel like you would expect for a flagship and then the back here feels it don't feel bad. It just doesn't feel like glass, okay, so um. Let me go ahead and fire it up and let's see what we got going on here again. This is the first time I've ever seen this phone in person, so oh wow, okay, so very, very minimal, bezels.

Here guys I mean look at that. I mean this phone is going to the edges, making ho chokes about it here now that okay guys, so the camera cut out here- is pretty substantial here now on it's about the same size as on my Samsung Galaxy s10e, except on that phone, it's over on in this corner here in the right corner, but it's about the same size, it's in the center there we do have a slightly bigger bezel here at the bottom. It seems to be the standard affair, so yeah guys just huge display nice 6.7 inch display I'll go through the setup here and then get to the desktop, and we'll have a quick gander of what it looks like out of the box on the desktop okay guys. So I'm in here on the Galaxy Note 20. This is the desktop.

Okay just got in um. It's downloading my information, my apps and whatnot. So it's going to take a while here, but just looking around your know, looks pretty good here. Um looks perfect got the sidebar okay! Let's look at the settings: real, quick, okay, so pretty standard affair here guys not seeing anything, that's substantially different um! So yeah guys this is uh the Samsung Galaxy s20, I'm looking forward to using this phone as my daily driver and then, of course, um doing some videos on it for sure so um I will, you know, figure all this out and start playing with it and enjoying it and seeing uh where we go from here so guys.
