Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs Galaxy S10 Plus

The Galaxy Note sending device, it has a lot of features that you may or may not end up using, but it's nice that they're all there, but if you strip all of that away, don't you technically have a galaxy s, 10 plus well, that is the discussion. We want to start in this video so get into the comment sections. Let us know which one of these two phones you would pick, because this is Pocket, and I'm Joshua Verger. What's going on everybody, what we have here been the Samsung Galaxy note template the s10 plus quick clarification. This video is not sponsored, but I do have ad brand skin on my s10 plus the main reason being this is an all-glass phone. Just like the note 10 plus, is that's the reason why I have a little more texture on the back here, so that I can cover up all the fingerprints that inevitably hit the glass, and also I can give it a tiny bit more grip.

That is also the reason why I have a clear case for the note 10, plus that way I can make sure that it's a little more protected, while still showing off that shine on the back. You have this mirror backing that kind of comes off like an oil slick on the road, because it's just really, really colorful, and I could just go like this for a long time, and it's a mesmerizing look. The note 10 plus also has a slightly boxier design, which might make it a little sharper in the hand compared to the rounded edges of the s10 plus, but the footprint is basically the same, and you get about the same amount of screen. However, the 6.8-inch screen of the note 10 plus, is a sight to behold, as many Samsung devices seem to be so. You have the Super AMOLED display with the Infinity ode display that has not only the curves on the side, but now a single cutout at the top.

You get one camera on the front, but it does do pretty much everything that you need to, including facial recognition, and it can also record in 4k resolution for your selfie videos. It's going around the frame that you find the let's say, physical differences between these two phones. The note 10 plus has the s-pen nestled in the little corner on the right and now there's no other hole on the left side, because there's no more headphone jack. That sentence, I just said, is going to be what probably factors into a lot of your purchasing decisions other than the price. Of course, the fact that in one phone you get a whole different kind of experience with an S Pen Stylus that gives you the ability to write on your screenshots I right down, quick notes in a screen off memo.

Also, you can do things like an are doodle and live message, things that are rather fun but are all dependent on a specific tool. Those are all things you don't get in the Galaxy S, ten plus, but then again, the Galaxy S, ten plus has a headphone jack. So if it's all about wired headphones for you well, this is going to be one of those decisions. You have to make continuing around the frame. There's one less button on the note ten plus, that's because there's no more Bixby button, or rather there's no more power button, because the big sweet button that is over on the left right under the volume rockers is now pulling double-time.

You can hold that button so that you can talk to Bixby or you can program it so that it is a power button that way. Bixby is no longer tied to a physical thing. On your phone, the note M plus also stepped up its speaker game a little. There's still bottom firing speakers on both of these phones, but instead of the phone grill being a speaker like it is on the galaxy s, 10 plus now the other speaker kind of resonates out of the back portion of the phone. It's a pretty obvious difference because on the s10 plus, you can actually cover up the two different grilles, but here you can't really cover up where the sound is emitting from up here.

So it's definitely coming through that resonance chamber. Performance is great between these two phones. You get high-end specifications but to the note, 10 plus did step up its game with 12 gigabytes of RAM in my Edition here, which allows it to not only multitask and use the s-pen very effectively without many stutters, but also that twelve gigabytes of RAM powers. Yet another feature of the note 10 plus, and that is a new version of Dex, went from being something you plug into a monitor to something that you can use as a desktop application, which actually makes a lot of sense because you can plug in the note 10 plus into your laptop, not have to touch the phone whatsoever and perform everything you need to do just using your mouse and keyboard. It's just nice that you don't have to have an extra peripheral or even better.

You don't have to have like a spare, monitor and keyboard and mouse in order to use DEX properly. You just use a laptop that you probably bring around with you all the time anyway and then. Finally, on the spec sheet, you do get a little more battery in the note 10, plus at 4300 William hours, compared to 4,100 William hours in the galaxy s 10 plus fast charging on the note 10 plus, is really what got me excited because it can take up to 45 watt charging if you use a Samsung supported charger, which is not really out yeah, but even then you still get 25 watt charging, which is really fast too, and finally, the cameras which do get a bit of an enhancement in the note 10, plus mainly in that wide-angle camera. That now is a 16 megapixel sensor. Aside from that, you still get the main 12 megapixel sensor and the 12 megapixel zoom lens a time-of-flight camera brings the total number on the rear to four.

While you only get one camera on the front like we said before, there's no more double cutout I currently find that both of these phones have very similar camera experiences, especially when you consider that the galaxy s 10 plus recently got an update. That now includes the night mode. There's looking at the hard specs alone, you might be nitpicking if you really want to go for the note 10, plus mainly for its camera, enhancements it's more about the usability that is different on the note 10 plus, and again it's all about that S Pen, the S Pen now has the ability to not only be a remote shutter button like with a note 9, but now you can control the camera and change the different modes you're using or even change which side you're using the rear or the front cameras do the type of person that actually takes a lot of photos and videos. Let's say for your social media, then this might come in handy. You don't actually have to walk up to the phone after you frame yourself in your shot with the phone on something like a tripod.

It's a very specific use case scenario that proves once again that the S Pen is one of those tools that everyone agrees is useful, even if it's not necessarily useful for them. Specifically, that's the same thing with DEX, that's the same thing with even the headphone jack. If you ask me, because, on the s10 Plus, even though you have the headphone jack, it's something that you only really find useful, if that's specifically what you're looking for I personally find that if you pick either of these phones as your main you're going to have a great time, the note m+ does get a few things a little more right. But those are features that you only really get. If you are a note person, if you're not really much of a note person, and you're deciding between these two phones, you might have a better time actually picking the Galaxy S 10 plus, because it will clearly be at a lower price, because the new one just came out in either case, though you get the best that Samsung has to offer and honestly after using the S 10 plus for a little while leading up to Samsung, unpacked I actually found myself enjoying it so much that if I had no other phone, but the S 10 plus currently I'd probably be pretty happy.

So it's no surprise that I'm pretty happy with the note 10 plus so far. But you can look forward to the full review coming here on pocket now pretty soon and also a full review from me over on my channel YouTube. com, slash, Joshua Verger, look forward to all the different pieces of coverage on the note.10 plus, there's going to be a ton of it obviously, and you can keep up with it by subscribing to both of the channels dropping likes on the videos and getting into the comment sections for this video I want to know which one of these two phones, you would pick and why make sure you show you work, make sure you describe why really you need an S Pen or if you don't need it, why you would go for maybe the s10 plus instead, but from that I'm. Just going to call it on this one. Thank you so much for watching, and we will see you in our next video.
