Hello friends: this is normal here for technique, and today we're going to do the detailed camera review of the Samsung Galaxy J 2, so J 2 is in new budget smartphone, which is priced 8 for double 9, and it comes with just a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a friend facing 2 megapixel camera for selfies. So considering the segment are the price of 4 pieces 8k, you almost get an 8, megapixel or 13 megapixels. A camera saw from various of the Devoured devices. Now something has just included a 5 megapixel shooter and even the front-facing camera is just a 2 megapixel selfie camera. So, unlike the other JC, these forms like the j5 and the j7. This is not a selfie focus phone, so this is doing not have a front-facing flash.
So this is basically an upgrade from the j1, which was again a basic 4. Now we have the j2 with USO, so this device, you can see the camera unit. It's a 5 megapixel unit width of LED flash. Now, let's see the interface of this camera. So you can see that interface wise.
The camera is exactly the same in the face as that of other G Series phones. You have FX here included the lots of effects available. Then we have the timer option, then ability to turn off or on the flash and finally the sitting. So here we have the option to record videos in HD. That's the maximum resolution.
There is no Full HD support against kind of disappointing, because most of the devices in this price point offers Full HD video recording there is five megapixels. That is the maximum at four is to three aspect ratios. Now, apart from that other features, looks very similar to the other J Series phones. We have default set of options now on the right side, we have the option to view the gallery. Then we have option to record videos and the camera capture button, and here we have the option to switch to friend facing camera and in the mode, so again some good options available.
The pro mode you can adjust settings in the Pro Mode, that's a manual control. Then you have the pen aroma, continued short beauty, phase, sound short and sports more. So these are the modes available again one of the missing modes. Here is the HDR or the rich tone mode available in Samsung, Galaxy, j7 and g5. So that's one thing missing so now, let's go to some samples taken with this device.
So here are some of the daylight. Charts from the daylight shot is pretty clear that the camera isn't really capable of taking great photos. The clarity of photos doesn't look that good the colors look a lot worse doubt. The sharpness levels are again low over the 5 megapixel camera isn't able to capture a lot of details. Almost all the photos, look a washed-out.
The color quality is something which is very poor from this camera. The colors are done change, and it's not really that great camera. You would wonder on a phone in this in the sub 10k price, but it's priced almost 8.5 K. So for this price point this is definitely not the ideal camera. You would be looking on a smartphone now talking about the macro shots again macro shots have pretty decent color quality, much better than the normal shots.
But again, it's not really up not up to the mark of the competition which offers better clarity in the form of 8 and 13 megapixel cameras. Now we are talking about the low-light abilities again, this is not really the strength of the camera. You can't expect a great low-light performance from a 5 megapixel shooter, it's noisy, although there are some details available in the low-light images, they're, not really that good, they're, noisy and the company overall clarity doesn't look that good. Now, there's also LED flash available now talking about the LED flash. This is the only thing which is pretty decent on this device.
The LED flash works pretty well. It is able to produce pretty good colors with LED flash. It's not down over brightening the photo. Furthermore, it's pretty good, decent LED flash, but then it's not backed up by a good camera. Furthermore, it's just a 5 megapixel shooter and the captures having come perfect when we tested it.
So that was the rear camera again now talking about the video car abilities, this just has 720p HD recording, so that's again disappointing and the 720p recording was not that great. The clarity of the photos was not good, you can see the sample, and it's not really consistent quality in the 720p video. So again, this also disappoints now talking about the front-facing camera, so this has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. So you can see this is the 2 megapixel camera? Now, if you take the modes you can see, there is again two modes missing the wide selfie and the interval short are missing when compared to the Jason and GFI, because there is a budget phone, it just has a selfie mode and the other options like beauty mode is there we can also add FX that's available and the front-facing camera can record videos only in VGA. That's again disappointing.
Nowadays. Moves to the front cameras also offer full HD video recording. So this is just a VJ capture, so here some samples taken with a friend camera. So, as you can see, the front camera doesn't really work for selfies, and it's not really that great quality. So, overall we would say the Samsung Galaxy J to be the 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel friend.
Camera kind of totally disappoints in this price point where the market is dominated with a megapixel and 13 megapixel cameras answering the price point. If you're looking for a camera smartphone, we wouldn't suggest you to pick this device, because the cameras doesn't really work that good, considering the price point.
