In this video, we are going to be doing a comparison between the Samsung Galaxy a51 and the Huawei 1is they're, going to find out what they both have to offer their similarity differences and which one is actually worth: fine, hello, guys it's Kathy and welcome to another video. If you're new to this channel, I highly recommend that you hit the subscribe button and turn on post notifications. You'll get notified next time, upload the video let's get to the video. So let's get some background out of the way the Huawei 19s was released in late of 2019 November, currently going for 289 on AliExpress, while the Samsung Galaxy a51 was released in early of January 2020, starting from 284 on Amazon, almost close to that of the Huawei 19x. Now, let's talk about the design. The Huawei y9s has a front and back glass and weighs about 206 grams.
This device feels really solid compared to the Samsung Galaxy a51. The Samsung Galaxy a51 has a front and plastic body and weighs about 172 grams still feels premium, though, but a little light compared to the y9s on the right side of both devices. You can find the volume wreckers and the power button. The y9s has a fingerprint sensor inside the power button. On the left side, though, the one and s has nothing.
The a51 has a dual sim card tray situated at the top on the top side of both devices. The y99s has a selfie pop-up camera, a dual sim card tray and a secondary microphone for noise cancellation. The a51 has just the secondary microphone for noise cancellation at the bottom of both devices. They have the USB port, a headphone, jack, a microphone and a single firing speaker turning both devices around. I must say the board look gorgeous in their different shades of blue.
The y99s has a three camera setup and the a51 has a quack camera setup a little more on this later. They both have their logo situated at the bottom. Now, let's talk about the display. The y9s has a 6.59 inch display with an IPS panel at 1080p resolution and a 391 PPI density. This is an impressive screen to behold.
The a51, on the other hand, has a 6.5 inch display. This is an AMOLED panel at 1080p resolution and a 405 PPI density. This is a really cool display. It has the gorilla glass 3, the blacks are deep. The colors are punchy, it's a really nice display too, comparing both screens side by side.
You see the AMOLED panel does a really great job and the colors look really really really great compared to that of the one I have. So when it comes to the display aspect, the a51 takes this one. Both devices have a single firing speaker, and it's just okay, it's not going to blow you away, but they get really loud under the hood. Both devices have a 4 000mah battery, which is perfect. You can easily use this throughout the day without charging out of the box.
The y9s comes with android 9 installed a high silicon carrying 710f subset and an outscore CPU, a Mali g51 mp4 GPU, and this is the four gigabyte built. On the other hand, the a51 comes with android 10 out of the box and Enos 9611 chipsets, an outscore CPU, a Mali g73, mp3 GPU, and this is also the four gigabyte experience testing. Both devices on geek bench, the one is called 321 the single core performance and 1 193 in a multi-core performance. The 851, on the other hand, scored 348 in a single core performance and 1 159 in a multi-score performance. Next, we're going to do an app opening test to see how this actually performs in everyday usage.
Before we do that, let's clear the memory of both devices, and we're going to do a quick, restart see which one actually starts up. First for the restart process, the Samsung Galaxy a51 seems to beat the y9s by about a second or so now, let's try opening some apps to see which one starts faster. The first app you're going to try here will be Candy Crush and the Huawei y9s wins this one. The second app is going to be Instagram and the wire y9s wins this one too. The set-up you're going to try will be twitter and yet again the Huawei 19f beats the 851 to the finish line.
Now, let's try some native apps after we're already installing phones, first up you're, going to try the call-up and the whole 1 9s beat the 851 again. The next app is going to be the camera up and yet again the y19s wins when it comes to ram management.2 both device do a perfect job at that. So if the app opening did or something look out for the y99s is something we should definitely check out now, let's talk about the cameras on these devices. The 851 has a 48 megapixel main shooter, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5 megapixel macro camera, a 5 megapixel depth sensor and a 32 megapixel selfie camera, which is this cute little thing on the screen. I really like the placement like how small it is.
The y9s, on the other hand, has a 2 megapixel depth sensor, a 48 megapixel main shooter, an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera and a 16 megapixel selfie pop-up camera, which I think is really cool because it frees up space on the screen and gives this image full screen experience. I really like that too. So, let's check out some footage from both cameras when it comes to pictures, I think they both do an okay job pictures are pointy, they're sharp. You can easily get away with these pictures. You both have wide angle cameras which are really cool when it comes to the videos they both shoot at 4k at 30 frames per second.
So these are samples. So this is a front camera test on both cameras. Um. What do you think? I think so far the colors look great. Tell me what you think about the sound 2 which one do you prefer that of the a51 or the y9s? Don't you know what you think in the comment section: let's go when it comes to the slow motion? I think the a51 does a better job compared to that of the one s for security.
The y99 SSS fingerprint sensor starts rising to its power button, which, I must say, is really fast. The 851 has an in-display fingerprint sensor in the display, so that's amazing too. It also has face ID, and I must say this, one actually works really well for me all in all. When it comes to these two devices, I'm going to lean towards the one and s when it comes to the build policy. I like how solid it feels when it comes to software experience, I'm going to lean towards that of the a51.
It feels really great, I'm really loving the android pen and the sets that come with it. So let me know which one you prefer leave a comment or two in the comment section, I'm always hanging out with you. So this brings us to the end of the video.
