Samsung Galaxy A32 5G with 90hz Refresh Rate - Overview

What's up everybody, it's your boy JP back again with another video. Today I have the galaxy a32 5g. Now this phone regularly costs around 300. Uh cricket wireless sells it for 280. And metro also sells it for 280. But if you are bringing a new, if you are, if you are bringing a number to metro, that's not a T-Mobile number like, like.

Maybe an ATT number, a Verizon number etcetera. You can get this phone for 30 bucks now 30 dollars, man, it's more than worth that! I you know as far as metro's lineup goes. I would pick this over shoot. Furthermore, I'd pick this over the word n10 5g from OnePlus. Furthermore, I'd pick it over the Motorola one 5g ace um this.

This is a perfect phone and uh for 300. You know seeing that it's a Samsung, 5g phone. That's that's! You know, because a lot of people are brand loyal and uh. You know. Samsung definitely has that following a lot of people will pay more for that name, even if it means lower specs and a lot of you all know what I mean as of right now.

I'm also uploading the video to my galaxy a52 4g right now so, depending on when this uploads or when that one you know, you may see this one first, you may see that one first, but uh, uh, you know I kind of you know, talked about that a little in that video as well um. You know, there's always you know the past four five six years has always been phones better spec than Samsung's. You know for the same price points you know, but the Samsung still sell to those you know for that brand loyal to those people that you know just love: Samsung um, you know uh, there's people that love Samsung's interfaces. Furthermore, you know, I remember a time when nature UI was just absolute trash, but people now they absolutely love one UI and uh. This has one UI 3.1 on top of android 11. While we're on the subject um my video to the a52, I talked about how I was going to discuss why this phone- the a325g, I think, is better than the a52 4g and why it's possibly better too than the a52 5g as well um, not to sound repetitive, there um, you know first thing: first, I'm going to get the elephant out of the room.

I'm gonna talk about the thing that a lot of people will probably dislike most about this phone. Well, two things one. This is powered by the density 720 chipsets, the MediaTek density 720, chipset, okay, and this also believe it or not, and you're going to be surprised when you open and see it. I honestly don't even want to tell I don't want to say this, because you know you're not going to notice it right away, but this is not an AMOLED panel. It's a's! A's! A TFT IPS display an LCD.

If you will and um again, I know it seems like every single time. I talk about an lcd. It seems like every time I get a new phone with an lcd. I talked about how that one's even better, even better, even better, this one's better, this one's, better and uh and uh this, and I'm up, I'm gonna, tell you all something else here too. This LCD is definitely the best looking LCD that I have seen thus far.

Okay, now before you say, oh well, Justin the next phone you review or have a or have an overview, I should say with an LCD screen, you're going to say the same about that, and you know the past year or two you'd be right, but my next LCD phone, while it does trump this in every uh, every aspect I have to say this- has a better LCD because coming up soon, I will have a review or an overview again, as I call them for the Pogo x3 pro the snapdragon 860 powered Pogo x3 pro, which has an LCD panel and uh. It's its uh, it's its! It's its a fantastic panel, more than livable, but uh. Honestly, if I couldn't have an AMOLED, and it had to be an LCD I'd rather have this panel on this phone on that Pogo x3 pro, because this panel, the is definitely better than even that on the Pogo x3 pro, despite the specs being way better, and I mean way better but uh, now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about the density 720 right, quick, this kind of ties into why I think this is also a better phone than the a52 5g, which would obviously mean by that regard, that it would be better than the 852 4g as well. Now, of course, this is strictly my opinions, but here's the thing about the the dementia 720. If you look up, videos read documentations online, this there are tons of things out there, the dimension 720 when benchmarked against the snapdragon 765 g does better in multi-core and only scores slightly less in single core.

Okay, now the galaxy a52 5g has the snapdragon 750 g. Now, if you all go back and watch the video, I did on the lg k92 5g and discussing it snapdragon 690. I talked about how I thought the 690 was just the non-g variant of the 750 and the 750 g, which you know there's only one 750 labeled anyway. The 750 g is the g variant of what you know. What would be a 690 gene.

They had uh the updated cortex a77 cores over the cortex 876 that actually powers, the snapdragon, 765 765 g and even the 768 gene um. So it's definitely more future-proof in terms of having newer technology behind it and Qualcomm, just simply um. I mean this may sound bad, but it is what it is they purposely just you know, slowed its clock. Speed down, you know, took you know, you know, took certain aspects away to make it a load to make the 750 g a lower end chipset than the 765 g, but because it took so long to come out with what was supposed to be the 765 768. True successor, the 780 g companies were already starting to.

You know bring out the successors to their phones that they had out last year with the 765 with the 750 they're having to improvise because it because Qualcomm took you know over a year. You know you're talking um a year and four months to come out with the 765 successor in the 780. So you know companies started using the 750, and it's not a bad kit. I mean it's not going to really be any faster than the 765, but it's not. I wouldn't necessarily say it's slower.

Furthermore, I mean they perform about the same. Furthermore, I mean you know: yeah, you get an arena 619 instead of arena 620, but really what could the major difference be? Um. You know um this this this for this um since we'll talk about graphics chips. This has the uh the molly, the arm molly um, oh man, the uh, the uh molly, something 57 mc3, which of course means it's triple core or 57. I'm sorry, it's not 53.

It's 57, mc3, um and um. I mean you're not going to notice any difference between that and the arena 619 and 620 the dimension 720 is just it is. I mean it's, it's powered by cortex, a 76 or 87 cores, and it does um. It does outperform the snapdragon 765 in um in multi-core, and it only scores slightly less in single core and yes, I'm actually talking about the 765 g. I know I don't say that I know I don't include the g every time, but it's the g we're talking about here, the one that's clocked at 2.4 gigs, not 2.3, gigs um. You know- and it's you know and really Samsung kind of like what I just said that Qualcomm does with the 750.

You know in regard to the 765. Samsung has just done other things here to make this phone lower in compared to the 5g um. You know the a525g obviously has an AMOLED screen. It obviously has an infinite o, and this has an affinity. V uh, you know a slightly older, outdated.

You know screen design um. This has four gigs around and that has six gigs of ram uh. You know I mean it's, it's its, but I mean you know the price difference. You know, in my opinion, you're getting a better chipset and I mean yeah. Everything else seems to be a downgrade, but that didn't they didn't have to do that.

But that's you know they did that. You know that's that that's kind of that's one of those things that I don't like you know, um, that's kind of why that's kind of why media tech is always looked at as the lower end um. You know rival to Qualcomm when in actuality they are a know. They are a formidable rival to Qualcomm. You know um.

They have been spanking Qualcomm with the budget phones for the past couple of years, mid-range phones. Last year I mean, I think, it's safe to say that last year they they they have. They exceeded Qualcomm in in in the mid-range arena and uh. As far as the premium flagship chipsets go, yeah Qualcomm definitely still rang supreme there absolutely, and I'm not a Qualcomm here, hater by any means, but uh. You know, but you know the um, the uh you know, Qualcomm MediaTek is definitely closing that gap, even in the premium segment, the flagship soc segment now.

Will they catch up and actually make processors flagship? You know, chipsets, you know even better than the latest and greatest you know: uh snapdragon 800 series processor. I doubt that. But if that happened I won't be mad. I'd be excited um because you know they already have the better budget chipsets they have for a few years now. You know we're talking about chipsets that compete with the snapdragon 400 series.

Okay, um, but I mean even, but I mean their mid-range chipsets- are just wiping the floor with Qualcomm as well. Does the Dominican 720 would have been a processor that I originally would have thought would have competed with the snapdragon 480 5g. You know for that budget, 5g chipset, but if the 700, if the 720 is MediaTek's budget, 5g chipset, then I'm blown away because the benchmarks of it are astronomical. I mean definitely premium mid-range, uh material. You know they gave these six gigs of ram and AMOLED screen, and it would just be another.

It would just be another but better variant to the 852 5g. In my opinion, um would I choose this over the a525g unless the a525g is just sold at a very, very, very cheap price. Absolutely metro has a 525g for only 200. If you switch from a non-t-mobile number and uh, I'm not going to lie that's a fantastic price, but but, is it? Is it? Is it better than 30 bucks for this at metro? No NASA, nope, nope, sorry um! I mean this is just a great deal. It's a fantastic deal.

The dimension 720 just performs very well um. I mean if this had six gigs of ram. This phone would just be blazing and be amazing, but really quick. Let's go over the design of the phone. Really quick here.

You got your side mounted fingerprint sensor there, because it's not an OLED screen. It is a dimple. It's also your power button. You got your volume rocker there very nice premium, build here too sorry for the fingerprints there triple uh quad camera in the back. I think it's 64 megapixel as well as the 852 4g, I'm not sure that it's the exact same sensors just because it's the same megapixel counts doesn't mean they're the same.

You know: quality, sensors, um but stereo speakers um. I think this is also uh dust and water resistant as well as the 852 4g was that I just had an overview on. Don't hold me to that, but I think this is uh. It has stereo speakers as well USB type-c. It has your um sorry for the focusing there you all, but it also has your headphone jack there um nothing here and um.

Now the design quality, the design build the build quality. Whatever you want to say I like it, I absolutely like it. I think it's great um, I think um, I think the uh. The quality of this phone here is really the design the you all. I'm sorry.

I can't get my word straight. Furthermore, I did that in the 852 video as well, but uh. There are things going on outside people are moving furniture, and it sounded like something dropped or rolled off. So I'm I just kind of got sidetracked there. I don't know if you all even heard that in the background about a minute ago, but um, I actually prefer this design over the a524g.

The a524g has that matte plastic finish, but still felt extremely premium. As I said in that video, it's not it's, not it's! Not the glass feeling, matte plastic used in the s21 and the note 20 uh. You could definitely tell it's plastic, but it was just, but it was not a cheap feeling. Plastic like it would be something that you'll be proud to hold. That matte finish just really just topped it off.

It was fantastic. This has that classic design that Samsung had really introduced back in 2019 used more prevalent last year. It is a classic design. It is a glossy back. It's its almost like a gunmetal shade um, I like it uh, it looks matte.

Unfortunately, it's not matte and uh, and I know I just said it looks Matt whenever I just got done talking about how it's glossy that it depends on how the light hits it, because it does in certain light reflection. It does look like it's matte and not glossy, but even the glossiness of it does not come off cheap. It's not too much. It's its just right. Furthermore, it's very premium.

Looking um, it feels very nice in the hands. The screen is a 6.5 inch, just like the 852 is um, but it is I really like that black color, it's just like I said it's like a gun, metal, almost and uh. It is it's just really nice. The side mounted fingerprint sensor works. Amazingly um, it's just some of your apps here um but um.

You know, let's see here yeah, you know um I've, just um I mean this. Is this? Is a rock solid little phone here I mean I think my biggest gripe is that it doesn't have Samsung decks or wireless decks. You know even wired decks would have been nice at the price point. I couldn't expect it, but then again it does have one UI 3.1 and the one UI 2.5 update, brought wire decks to a lot of phones that didn't have it and uh, and one UI 3.0 brought wireless decks to those same phones like the a51 and a515g last year, so the a52 4g doesn't have decks. This does not really like to see these with it through an update, but there's not even any material out there.

That says they will get updated. You know two decks, but um you know, but at this price you know the a52 4g. I complained about that this on. You know this phone at this price point. You can't really complain about it.

Furthermore, you know um, it's its. Furthermore, you know um most people that are going to buy. This phone isn't worried about decks, but you all know from my previous videos that that's the only thing that really keeps me using Samsung devices, because I'm not big on them. Like everybody else is I prefer Xiaomi's. You know I'd, I'd, prefer your one plus um, you know um.

If GMS wasn't an issue, I prefer Huawei and honor. I mean you know um, but uh, but you know, I'm pretty sure. Most people buying this phone and even the a52 4g aren't necessarily looking for decks a 52 5g. Yes, I could see people wanting decks on that um. You know, but um other than that man um.

You know. I hope you all enjoyed this video here and uh. Like I said I got, the uh got the video for the 852 4g uploading right now, as we speak as well. So I hope that you all uh hope that you all check that out too and uh, I'm sure you all would be uh hollering at me. In the comments I do have uh more videos coming up soon shortly uh very shortly, some more watches, so I'll uh see on the next video.

Until then, peace out.
