Samsung Galaxy A31 Unboxing & Quick look! #GalaxyA31 By J. Williams

All right guys welcome back to another video with your manager, so uh, if you don't follow me as a member on the channel, you're just not figuring out that I had this device, so I got this earlier uh this evening. Actually it was early this morning actually, and I've been using it. So it's uh almost 7 30 uh. So it's recording this video, so I've had this device pretty much all day. I grabbed it. It came in at about uh nine o'clock this morning, so I wanted to give you an unboxing and just kind of tour of the device for now um.

I have been using it uh, and I want to show you the contents of the box. But before doing so, I want to read some specs on here. This is a brand-new device from Samsung. It is obviously the a31, and you have a 6.4 inch 1080p display on here, and it's got a 48 megapixel main shooter, which is a wide angle, and then you have a 13. Excuse me an 8 megapixel ultra-wide, you have a 5 megapixel macro shot and then a 5 megapixel depth shot for the back and then the front is actually a 20 megapixel camera on the front, which is a wide angle lens as well, and it shoots 1080p the rear does shoot 4k.

To my understanding, I believe it does. I have to double-check that. No, it shoots 1080p, I'm sorry! This has a MediaTek processor inside. I think it's the Helios something. Let me check it out here for you uh.

It is the Helios 6780 6768 uh. So that's the processor inside here, but I have to tell you I hadn't found I haven't found like this sluggish or anything. Yet this is the 4 gig 64 gig model and there's also a 4 gig 128 gig model. So this is the 64 gigs internal. This has android 10 with one UI 2.0, and it's got a 5 000 William hour battery inside with a 15 watt charger fingerprint reader under the display, and it also has a face unlock as well. So spec talk out of the way you do get a case because they're you know taking care of most people today with cases uh, you get the literature and stuff in this box, and then you get this nice case here, and I'll go ahead and try to try it on the phone in just a little right here for you.

So I have the prism crush blue. As you can see here, it's got that beautiful shimmer right, isn't that beautiful, so it does have an in screen fingerprint reader we'll get to that in just a second um. I got to tell you, though, the device definitely has shaken me up. A little. Surprised me so in here is where the device originally was housed, and in here you can see that you got your sim tools right here on top type c, cable, headphone jack, because this one does have headphones, and these are just some pretty really basic Samsung headphones.

And then you get the uh wall charger here you can check out the power plant there, so this is uh kind of kind of a almost complete package for me, um when it comes to what I want in a device. Now we're going to go ahead and go over this device. Now and again I have been using it. I wanted to go ahead and start using it. I was like man, I'm just gonna, crack the seal on here and start using this thing, because I think it's really cool.

So, as you can see here, this is a beautiful, beautiful, 1080p display. You got a little cut out at the top uh, and it should kind of remind you of the velvet with the little cloud at the top, but I have the uh dark wallpaper on there. So 1080p display um you've got android 10, it just updated to the latest software, so it's got android 10, and it's got the July security patch and today is August 1st. So right out of the box, I got a nice little software update, and I was pretty excited about that. So, let's take a look around the device here: uh power buttons here, obviously I didn't turn on the face, but I did hook up the fingerprint reader, and it works fairly.

Well, I haven't had any problems with it so far: um it does well. It gets it open every time, so power button volume, rocker, sim tray, is on this side. There's your four camera setup right there with this, this crush blue is actually really beautiful. Shimmers really! Well, I really like it so on the top here. You've got a microphone there and on the bottom you have headphone jack type c, microphone and speaker out, and that is pretty much it.

As far as the hardware goes, and again you do have this beautiful 1080p display on the front. It's a beautiful display and let's crank the crank, the brightness up here. So you can see how beautiful that actually looks five thousand William hour battery inside this thing. It should be perfect uh right out of the gate. I was kind of disappointed because it didn't shoot 4k, and it does not shoot 4k um I tested this, but you do have that that widening of lens that you can turn on you can see right there.

How much is in view like that stuff is way up there on the top of my desk, and you turn it off, and you get back to you can see how much is how much is there? So the wide angle camera on the uh velvet is something that people really didn't like uh. They didn't like it too much uh and the white on camera on this phone appears to be a little better, actually um. For some reason, people now everybody sometimes has some kind of. As you can see, beauty mode is off. I always check that some people have some things about a camera that they just have to have, or they just want to have uh and the wide-angle camera seems to be the thing now that people are kind of focusing on uh.

But overall, this camera appears to be really solid. Depending on the lighting situation. Um, you can't really tell too much, but it's kind of blurring out uh the background. I will post those photos um it's kind of blurring out the background a little on uh those samples there, and I want to also show you, let's just take one more of the smith and Watson here, real quick you. This will give you a better representation of it being able to blur out the background without even trying it's in auto mode, and again I will post those photos for you guys to see, but going into settings here.

You can see here. You've got the scene optimizer. I keep that turned on pretty much and then for video rear. This is all you get. You get 720p, or you get 1080p, and I shouldn't say: that's all you get.

I don't mean that in a derogatory way, what I mean is, I was hoping for at least 4k, but nonetheless I got the applications that I want to have on this phone for now and uh. Here's your welcome daily Samsung thing. Overall, though this is a beautiful device- and I guess I can show you next to something other than the velvet- that was a lot bigger. Here's, my s20 plus, you can see here the size difference but um overall man wow, I'm I'm pretty impressed with the crush blue, the crush prism blue, it's beautiful! Actually, I didn't know how I feel about this, but man this is. This is beautiful.

Look at that! That is just gorgeous any of these prism colors. That Samsung does its beautiful, so shout out to wireless place for uh supplying the device for review. I appreciate it, so I will have this for as long as I need it, but I know we don't keep these units uh, but about maybe two weeks or so to give you just a rough overview of the device uh. So most of the devices that I get from wireless place, they don't really give me a time limit, but out of respect, I don't keep them more than a month or so and lately some of the devices I review are pretty much close. So it's not very difficult to review them, but I had to make room for this because I was really excited about this device and when I found out they were sending to me, I was like wow.

This is what I'm talking about. So this is the device the software is Samsung software there's a lot going on here for 200 bucks. Folks, 219, I believe, is what the price is been sure to check the link in the description for the current price, and that way you won't have any kind of expectations on with me saying the wrong price but check the link, but I'm pretty sure it's about 219 at the recording of this video. So this is a very beautiful vivid bright display. So if you don't think, so I mean you just have to comment it's one of those.

You wouldn't believe that this phone was 220 bucks if it's right in line with other phones that are double or three times the cost. So it's always like that when you have um when you have smartphones in the lower tier one thing I like about this phone, is the screen doesn't like to sit on top of the phone, it's kind of wedged out nicely. It's just beautiful. It appears that it is, but it's kind of like one piece. Almost it's beautiful man- and I just can't stress it enough- this prism, blue prism, crushed blue, is beautiful man anyway, it's your man, j.

Let's shine it up one more time here this is beautiful man I mean wow. This is beautiful. That is just beautiful, oh boy, it's your manager! I hope you guys enjoy the unboxing.
