What's up guys, high here from chicks tech reviews. So today I bring you a head-to-head comparison between two self-proclaimed flagship killers, so we have the Realme gt versus the Poco f3. So this is another extreme head-to-head comparison, and in this video we will be comparing everything from the sensors screen, build quality and lots more and by the end of this video you should have an idea of which flagship killer. You want to go for now. First, let's check out the prices from their own official AliExpress site. So the Realme gt currently costs 358 pounds for the eight plus one two eight, which seems like the only variant you can choose from and the Poco f3 is priced at 254 for the six plus one two eight variant, and there is also an eight plus two five six variant, which I have in my hand and that one costs only three one three.
So first category is the boxes and accessories. So the Realme gt comes with an USB type c to type c: cable, a 65 watt, super dart charger, a dark, clear silicon case and, of course, a sim eject tool and the Poco f3 comes with an USB, a to USB c cable, a 33 watt, fast charger, a completely clear silicon case and a sim eject tool. So it looks like we have exactly the same accessories included in both boxes. So that's going to be a point each for the first round, so the scores are currently 1 1. Now, let's check out the design and build quality.
So here they both are side by side in my hands. Now the Realme gt has a glass back: that's a 3d arc glass with a very nice two-tone, black and blue effect, and they are calling this color dashing blue. Now you do have a simple looking triple camera bump on the back, and you can see it's a shiny finish, which is quite prone to fingerprints. Now the Poco f3 also has a glass back, and it is gorilla, glass, 5, but you've got this dark. Mirror-Like finish and they're calling this color night black, and you do have the Xiaomi trademark camera bump.
And yes, it's a super fingerprint magnet even more noticeable than the Realme gt. Now in thickness, the Realme is 8.4 millimeters thick, and it weighs 186 grams and the Poco f3 in comparison is 7.8 millimeters, and it's 196 grams. So the Poco f3 is slightly slimmer in thickness, but the Realme gt is slightly lighter. So overall, similar build quality. The Poco f3's camera bump looks aesthetically pleasing, but the real me's, two-tone color finish, looks better, both of no doubt fingerprint magnets.
Now I can't really say which one is better than the other. That is very subjective to your own personal tastes. So I guess that means they are both getting a point each, so the scores are currently to all. Now, let's talk about the screen quality. The Realme gt has a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with 543 pixels per inch, and the Poco f3 has a 6.67 inch AMOLED display with 395 pixels per inch, both offer 120 hertz max refresh rate and full HD plus screen resolutions. The Realme gt has a 3d arc glass and a thousand nits of peak brightness, and the Poco f3 has gorilla glass 5 both on the front and the back and offers 300 nits peak brightness and also supports HDR 10, plus both offer 360 hertz touch, sampling and both smartphones are googled wide vine level 1 certified.
Both smartphones also allow you to select the refresh rate from 60 to 120, but the Realme also has automatic refresh rate, whereas the Poco does not both smartphones feature a full screen display. The Realme has a hole, punch camera in the corner and the Poco has its front camera in the center. So both AMOLED displays are stunning in practical use, especially for full screen multimedia watching you've got a fast 360 touch sampling rate on both so perfect. For you gamers out there. You certainly won't be disappointed with either device when it comes to the screen, but I do feel that the Poco f3 has a slightly better overall display, it's slightly larger, with a better peak brightness with HDR, 10 plus, and you've got gorilla glass 5 protection.
So it looks like this round. Is going to the Poco f3, bringing our scores to 2 3. ? Now, let's talk about the processing power. Well, both smartphones are powered by a Qualcomm chip. The Realme g2 is powered by the snapdragon triple eight, which is a five nanometer chipset clocked at 2.8 gigahertz. The Poco f3 is powered by the snapdragon 870, which is a seven nanometer chip clocked at 3.2 gigahertz. Now the Realme has 8 gigs of lpddr5 ram with 128 gigs of UFS 3.1 storage and the promo also has 8 gigs of lpddr5 ram, but with 256 gigs of UFS 3.1 storage, and there is no micros expansion in either smartphone. So who gets the point for this round? Well we're going to have to turn to the benchmarks for this one, and it is a close call.
Therefore, an tutu benchmark results, Realme versus polo, so, as you can see, the Realme has achieved 746k and the Paco has a slightly lower score of 722k and the Realme also achieved a higher score in nearly every single category and also comparing the geek bench results. You can see. The Realme has a higher score for both single and multi-core, so based on the benchmark results. It looks like realm wins this round, and that takes our score to three all. But what about sustaining real-time performance? So the more you use a device the temperature gradually increases affecting the real-time performance.
So to test this out, I ran three anti-benchmark tests back-to-back on each device to see if it can sustain its performance when being pushed, and here are the results for both devices. So Realme started out strong, but with a higher temperature. The second round of tests shows the Realme actually dropped in performance, so Poco was only slightly faster in round two and also slightly cooler by the end of the third round. The pocket was slightly cooler and faster, so that means the Poco does a very slightly better job of keeping cool when the performance is tested for a long period. Now the overall performance was actually quite similar towards the end of the three tests and even though they both dropped quite drastically in performance due to running hot, the Paco still managed to do a slightly better job of running cool, and it did not go over 51 degrees, whereas the Realme did get to 53 and maybe another test it would have got even hotter.
So it looks like the real-time performance has to go to the Poco f3, bringing our scores to 4-3. Now, let's check out the internal disk speeds, the Realme has 128 gigs and the Poco has 256 gigs both support UFS 3.1. So let's see the results and see which one is faster. So here are the results, and you can see the realm gt achieved.1.1 gigabyte, read and 208 megabytes per second write speeds and the Poco f3 achieved one gigabyte per second read and write speeds of 708 megabytes per second, it looks like Paco. Has the better overall read and write speeds combined? So Poco takes this one, bringing our scores to five three people: five, three! Now, let's go and check out this system OS.
So both smartphones are running android 11, with their respected UIs. On top. So Realme has the Realme UI, 2.0 and Poco is running the mini 12 for polo. Both support OTA updates and both OSS are pretty customizable too, so OS experience is quite similar. Both UIs do come with some bloatware, but both UIs also support quite a deep customization experience and the realm takes that experience even further by allowing you to customize stuff like icons and custom, always on displays, etc.
, but, as the experience does feel quite similar and neither offer a stock experience, which is what most of us out there prefer it's only fair to give them a point each. So that brings our current score to six four, so it looks like Poco is taking the lead. Let's see what happens in our next test, and this has to be one of my favorite tests. The camera test. Now both smartphones offer a triple camera setup.
The realm has a 64 megapixel main eight megapixel ultra-wide and two megapixel macro, whereas the Poco has a 48 megapixel main eight megapixel ultra-wide and a five megapixel telephoto and on the front we have a 16 megapixel front sensor on the Realme and a 20 megapixel front sensor on the polo. So who gets the points for this round? Well, it's a tough one. As we can't go by what's written on paper. We have to practically test them out so for this round. Let's just go ahead and compare the most commonly used sensors.
So quick, look at the camera apps for both. First, so Realme night, video photo portrait, 64, megapixel mode and more and under more you can see a bunch of options quickly skip through the polo. So we got pro mode. Video photo portrait and more and from more you can find the 48 megapixel mode, and you've got plenty more features which is quite common in the Xiaomi UI all right. Let's get practical, so first up, 64 megapixels versus 48 megapixels, Realme gt on the left and Poco f3 on the right.
Now both looking pretty good, but if you look closer you'll see that the Poco shots look a little more detailed and color accurate. Now next bunch of shots are in the standard photo mode which really shoots at 15, megapixels and Poco shoots at 12 megapixels, both via pixel binning, now pretty even looking shots, I'm finding the Realme slightly higher, in contrast and Poco slightly more color, accurate, dynamic range is great on both so standard photo mode produce equally good shots. So here is a quick selfie comparison and also a portrait mode shot. Both devices take pretty good selfies, with accurate, color and decent edge detection. I think Poco takes more naturally looking shots and Realme has that contrast turned up a bit.
Making my face glow more than it actually is, and also here is some front-facing video to compare both shooting at 1080p and again, both equally good results. Now, a few of you did ask me to throw in some night shots. Well, here you go. These shots have been taken in a completely dark room, and I'm actually amazed to how better the Realme shots. Look.
So definitely preferring real me's night mode results for sure. Now, video quality surprised me. This is 4k at 30 fps on both devices. You have super smooth, looking video on both colors and contrast, look identical, so not much separating the 4k video. So in this brief test it looks like these two flagship killers have absolutely nailed the camera department and to break it down round.
One was the big sensor test and poker was better round. Two was the standard photo mode and both were equally good round? Three were selfies and I preferred Paco, but that was a little subjective round four night modes. Real me was better for sure and round. Five was the 4k video, where I said both were equally good, so that means both devices are pretty good cameras. You will not be disappointed with either and there are a few things that Poco did better and a few things that Realme did better, but neither stood out in this department.
So that means they get a point each bringing our scores to five seven. Now both smartphones have Bluetooth version. Five. The Realme has Bluetooth, 5.2 and the Poco has Bluetooth 5.1 both have Wi-Fi six and support 5g along with NFC and dual speakers, so we have one speaker at the bottom and one on the earpiece exactly same locations on both phones and both support, high-res, audio and Dolby Atmos sound, which is a flagship feature of course. But the Realme comes with the bonus.
It has a headphone jack and the Poco does not know, let's hear how they both sound and decide, which one sounds better. Now, surprisingly enough, both sound equally good, I can't actually differentiate from them. It's almost like they have exactly the same dual speakers, but the Realme does have an advantage with the headphone jack at the bottom, and I guess we have to reward Realme for making that effort with their flagship killer, because, let's face it flagship, smartphones no longer come with headphone jacks, so definitely a plus point and to reward them for their efforts. Real me gets the point for this round, bringing our score to six: seven. Okay, coming to the battery and fast charging, the Realme has a 4 500 William hour battery, and you get a 65 watt super dart charger included in the box, and the Poco f3 has a 4 520 William hour battery with a 33 watt, fast charger included in the box.
Now both smartphones offer a day's battery life with medium to heavy usage and in 120 hertz mode. You can expect a screen time of around six to seven hours, with the Realme and around five to six hours with the Poco f3. Now, if we talk about charging speeds, real means, 65 watts, super dark charger takes just over 35 minutes to get you from zero to 100 and polo's 33 watt fast charger will get you to a hundred percent in around 52 minutes. So that means real me. Smash is a penalty in the 90th minute and the final score is 7-7.
It's a draw people- and this is rare. We have never had a draw in any of our extreme head-to-head comparisons. I didn't see this coming, but I'm sorry I'm not going to accept a draw. We need a sudden death round. There has to be a winner.
One of these flagship killers has to be the winner, so bonus category or sudden death category. I downloaded PC mark on both devices and if we just go to my device, I just want to show you what sort of score we achieved. So we got a work, 3.0 performance, score of 14 444 on the Realme and the Poco achieved 13 619, so, based on the result of this PC mark score, Realme gets the sudden death point final scores, eight, seven to real me. So there you have it guys. That was my head-to-head comparison between the Realme gt versus the Poco f3, so interesting results.
The winner is Realme gt, but it was a very close match. It was almost too close to call, and here is a breakdown on screen, so you can see how they both scored throughout. So both smartphones are good alternative to flagships, also known as flagship killers. Both are premium in design and build this video pretty much sums up all the strengths and weaknesses of each device. If I do pick one from the two, regardless of who won this match, I'm actually leaning towards the Poco and the reason is the bigger and brighter display, the better cooling system, which means better long-term gaming performance, and, as most of you will be aware, I do like gaming on my smartphone.
What, if you're, not a gamer which phone would you go for, and also it'd, be interesting to see how you guys scored it? So do let me know your thoughts and with that being said, I hope you found this video useful. Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you all in the next one. Peace.
