Okay, ladies and germs, Connor here from cw's tech reviews back with another video, and today we're doing my full review of the realm 7 pro released in Australia. This week put some challenges out there to some of the other players who are releasing phones at the moment, and I'd have to say this is one of my favorite phones of the year, and it's part of real me's celebration of one year in the Australian marketplace, they're doing a massive giveaway where you can actually win a mg, so stay tuned for more details later in the video on how you can enter to win the car. But straight up I need to talk to you about some specs on the realm 7 pro we're talking: eight gigabytes of ram, 128, gigabytes of storage, a snapdragon, 720 and lightning speed. Super dart charging this stuff is blazing fast. Now the snapdragon 720 is also an outscore and comes with an Aldrin 618. All that combined makes a pretty good experience.
Then, on the cameras, we have a 64 megapixel quad camera on the back, so you've got 64 megapixel main lanes, 8 megapixel wide angle. A 2 megapixel macro lens and a 2 megapixel depth sensor and then on the front. You have a massive 32 megapixel front-facing camera for those high detail, selfies now with some of those impressive specs out of the way I just want to get straight into the design and feel of the realm 7 pro. This is 6.4 inches, and it just astounds me these days that I can get a 6.4 inch display that fits snugly in my hand and look I don't have big gorilla hands, I'm not a big neanderthal dragon. My knuckles down the street.
I've got pretty small hands for a bloke and the Realme 7 pro is a nice comfy fit for me and I don't struggle to use a device. It is an AMOLED display and covers ninety point, eight percent of the front of the screen- and I must say, I've really enjoyed watching content on this device, whether it be Netflix, high definition, videos or YouTube. I've really enjoyed it, and it comes paired with some really cool dual front facing speakers, but 6.4 inches. It's just great. It comes with gorilla, glass, 3 on the front, and I'd have to say that I just love the way.
Furthermore, it looks the way it feels it is really nice phone to handle. Now, if we look at the performance on the Realme seven pro, I've had a really enjoyable experience. That snapdragon 720 is no slouch, and you pair that up with eight gigs of ram, and the experience is just really smooth. I don't get any stutter within the device at all. It just multitasks really well handles content really.
Well, I don't do a lot of editing on it. I do edit some photos on it, and it handles that just fine as well. When I go from one app to another and skip back and forth between apps, they never drop out. That's because of that eight gigabytes of ram. So for me the performance has been perfect for a day-to-day user.
Now, as gaming comes around, I have to say, I haven't had any issues with gaming at all: either 60 hertz is fine. It's a pleasant experience. It's smooth, the display is great again: the colors are nice and bright, and it's just a nice flowing seamless experience. My usual testing for gaming LIA's fortune PUBG and asphalt 9, and you can see these games aren't slouches when it comes to testing the performance of the phone, and it handles all of them really well. So you would be very happy with the performance on the Realme 7 pro and that performance ties into a really smooth software experience as well.
Now. My model that I have is currently running Realme version 1.0, android, 10 and September security patch. So it's fairly up-to-date when it comes to security patches only one month off the mark there, and we'll probably see android 11 rolls through at some time next year. I do like the software, it has a familiar feel, but it's a typical android software experience. That's customized! You can also customize it even further through the Realme software when you go in through your home screen and launcher settings and there you can play with your display your wallpaper, your icons and your theme and really customize it to give it a feel that suits you and I think you'll really enjoy what they have to offer there.
It actually reminds me a bit of the old days of custom ROMs on phones, even just going with the Realme theme that comes on as default. I did find it. It was nice and different, yet still quite familiar. So if you're, an android user you're not going to have any shocks or adjustment periods, this software is going to be right for you. Now I'm going to talk about the battery and the charging.
This is super dart charging 65 watt super dart charging. What does this mean? This means 100 charged in 34 minutes, wrap your head around that 100 charged in 34 minutes, 50 charged in 12 minutes and a 13 top up in just three minutes of charging when you use the supplied charger that comes with the phone. So this is just mind-bendingly fast. That's amazing! That is so fast. That's like you've got three minutes until you've got to get picked up by someone, you whack it on charge, and you have 15 more battery.
Well, you got 15 minutes until someone arrives to pick you up to for a night out on the town, whack it on charge within 12 minutes, you're up to 50. Now what I like about this just as much as how fast it charges is how long the battery lasts. Yesterday I went to bed with 81 left on the phone, and this is my day I got up using google fit. It tracked me for a 10-kilometer run and then another further three k's of walking throughout the day as exercise it did all my notifications. Throughout the day, all my correspondence emails text, messages phone calls a little of gaming and then also some photography and media content, and I went to bed with 81 and just to be fair.
I charged it for 12 minutes on the way home, while using android, auto and then 12 minutes on the way to work as well. Now, that's not using this super dart charging, that's just using the charging port in my car with a standard cable. Now on those figures, I could probably go four days without having to charge it this phone. When it comes to power, consumption and power, charging is an absolute beast. I don't think you'll get better.
Now did I mention earlier that you could win a car by watching this video? Well, you can- and this is thanks to Realme celebrating one year in the Australian marketplace and to celebrate this they're, giving away a lot of prizes. Let me talk you through it. Now I've got to bring up my little spreadsheet here. All you got to do is pre-order or buy any Realme smartphone from any participating retailer or Realme themselves. Once you have done that you go to this website, that's come up on the screen now and register for your chance to win the car plus over a hundred other prizes, and that website is day.
realm. net. AU here. It is here now first prize check this out. It's called the Realme fun gateway pack, one winner will win a mg3 excite vehicle.
Then you will win also a real me. X3 super zoom, one realm watch and a pair of Realme buds second prize, two winners, one real me: six one realm watch, one realm pair of buds airs and one realm 10, 000 million power banks. That's a lot! So thank you Realme all the links down below guys, girls, everyone makes sure you shout out to Realme a big thank you for this they're going out of their way to include everyone they can in this giveaway. Now it also has a super secure in display fingerprint sensor. I've got to be honest here, it's not the fastest in the world, but it does work, and it works.
Well, it's a little on the bright side, and it's probably about 80 percent accurate about 20 of the time I've got to just move my thumb a little on my finger, but it also does have faced unlock, and you can pair face unlock with the in display fingerprint unlock, and it's open before you know it that face unlocks is super superfast and did I mention this also has three slots, so you can put two sim cards and expandable memory within this phone. That's going to suit every marketplace. You can think of 128 gigabytes, isn't good enough. Stick another 128 gigabytes in the memory card slot. This phone really offers everything something else.
I think I should mention headphone jack, pixel, 5, no headphone jack. Why would you bother headphone jacks is so important yet so many companies choose to leave them out, there's nothing wrong with a headphone jack. Now, when we're talking photography, the realm 7 pro offers an awful lot of flexibility. Now the standard, 64 megapixel shooter is really, really good in good lighting conditions, and it's in that area, where you just can't be disappointed. You've got good light you're going to get a good photo.
Saturation is a little high, but it's not overboard it's just higher than what I'm used to that's, not a bad thing, and most people do prefer a little more saturation than less. The wide angle lens is a 119 degree field of view, so you're going to be able to get a much wider shot quite good for vlogging as well. You can get a good crisp, video out of the wide angle lens and capturing a lot of your surroundings within the image as well so 119 degrees field of view is great. The rear lens lenses also give you some great options for portrait: photography, black and white, and also macrophotography. So you've got a whole range of options here and, as you can see from these photos, the results are pretty good.
Low light can be an issue in a lot of mid-range cameras and with the Realme seven pro you can get some decent low-light shots. You just gotta compose your shot correctly and if you're just shooting in pure darkness, with no lights, then it's going to struggle. But if you do have some nice, artificial lighting, and you're good at photography and photography composition, then you're going to get some good nighttime shots as well and that 32 megapixel selfie camera. I love it. I think it captures a lot of detail.
It's not overly beautifying me, thank goodness because I'm too beautiful as it is, and the video also boasts stabilization as well, and you have 1080p recording now for video. You can record in 4k 30 frames per second or 1080p 60 frames per second for a nice little of slow motion as well. I do enjoy that, and I think it's a great little feature at this price point: unreviewed phones that cost a lot more than this- that do not offer 60 frames per second, and, as you can see, some of this footage, it's good fun to have that in there it's a great feature, then you also have super slow mode and pro mode as well for your photography. So there's just features galore on this thing, I'm going to go close to saying this is one of the phones of the year for the whole package and the price I mean. I just think that you get so much for such bang for buck.
With that fast charging I mean. That's that's just incredible. The camera is amazing as well. The software experience is really solid, with no hiccups and some customization features the performance is its just again. It's just solid.
It's really hard for me to find anything that, I would say, is a problem. I've got to be unbiased, don't I've got to give some negatives some areas for improvement, I would say, even though the display is really nice, it would be nice to see gorilla glass 5 on there instead of 3, and it would be really nice to see the PPI up a little higher. So the resolution a bit higher, I'm clutching at straws here, because the display, as you can see, looks great mirror silver. Look at that guys. That's my review on the Realme seven pro.
Please tell me what you think about the device. I think it's amazing, I really do like I said: pixel phone is out of my pocket real me, seven pro in my pocket, it's in there as for as long as I can have it in there, and I look forward to seeing who wins the competition realm will be announcing it check out their website to stay in touch with them and see who wins, see who wins the car or the phones or the earbuds they're, all it's giveaways galore. So it's good to see. Thank you realm for the giveaway. Thank you for making this video possible, really appreciate it.
