What's up guys, it's JT here from God's Word today, we're gonna, take a look at this. The razor phone in review now design wise. This is a phone that looks like none other right now. I think razors gone for some very intentional design, cues here, it's quite blocky, very metallic unibody design, very harsh cold to the touch. But this is the kind of thing you'd expect from Racer. Their computers have a similar look, a matte black finish.
It's all very clean, very mechanical, very gamer friendly, so I liked the look of it. Some people think is a bit too blocky too chunky. But for me this is exactly what I would have expected from a razor phone, so good job here on the front, you'll notice, two very big bezels everyone's going bezel is, but razor have gone for something very different because. They want to give gamers a good audio experience. You've got two Dolbies powered stereo speakers here top and bottom, and they kick out a lot of perfect sound when I'm watching content at home or play my games.
The speaker's here are literally second to none on any phone. This is the best experience I've had in terms of audio from the first I think the design Q. It was a good choice. For me, this is what I would have wanted from that in the back. You've got the embossed Racer logo; no, it does not glow in the dark.
It does not have any LEDs or RGB lighting on it which I would have liked, but you know that's. Probably the next version will have that you heard it here. First and on the right hand, side, you got fingerprint sensor and power button and that's really nicely implemented. It's super quick, very intuitive to the touch so yeah again a great job there with the fingerprint sensor. You got your sim port here.64 gig storage comes as standard on this you've also got a memory card slot so that you can expand up to 256 gigabytes, which is also very impressive. On the side.
Here you got the audio up and down and front-facing camera built into the speaker, and you've got your jewel 12 megapixel cameras, jewel 12, megapixel cameras on the back. Do you have an audio hole again? Another camera manufacturers gone down the road of ditching, the audio port, and they haven't even done it for waterproofing. There's no working on this phone, so I can't actually understand the decision behind ditching the audio, but they have got a USB input and that's the only input on this phone. One of the things I can give raises some points back for is in the box. You get a USB-C, 3.5, millimeter, audio jack adapter, so you've got the DAC audio interface built into this on the end, so you get much more improved audio quality on there, so I mean even though they've ditched the headphone jack they're, giving you something back by including that in the box you don't have to buy another third-party adapters. You can get your audio in there.
That's a nice touch, to Johnny. This is the last one. I'm Lanai interrupt me monitor, and it's educate my audience about the performance. Tell about a performance under Asia background, snapdragon, 83, 5 processors. You got the Adrian 540 GPU in there, so everything under the hood is exactly what you'd expect from a gaming phone for gamers.
Some people might say it's a little powered, but I'd rather have a gig about round than six I. Think in terms of future-proofing. That's a great feature that that's some pretty powerful spec you got there. So what does that translate to for the users or potential buyers? I mean this is obviously aimed at people who are very much into their Racer peripherals, their Racer computers, but I think all of those benefits you get from the gaming like 120 Hertz screen. You know the superfast processing, the onboard support, gigabyte storage, 8 gigabytes RAM.
All of those benefits translates into daily use. So when I'm using the phone, even though it's not the most powerful Android phone out there, it feels like it, because it's so much faster everything so much smoother. The animations are super quick it for me, it's better than the pixel and that's a Google phone. Everything looks nicer on this phone in its stock Android as well at several points at the moment, but they are upgrading to eight in the new year in early January, they said possibly so yeah you've got no bloatware other than their own launcher, and it's really nice there's no extra blower on here. It's very clean, unadulterated, Android experience.
Now, of course, we can't leave out one of the most critical things in every smartphone, the camera, and it was a bit unfair to talk about the razor at this point because they said at the launch that they're still developing the camera module, and they're still producing firmware to make it deliver the performance that you'd expect from a smartphone as such, I'm really not impressed is the camera and the reason that's probably the biggest downfall. For me, it almost is it might as well. Not have a camera I, don't use it at all. The lag is pretty bad. The quality of it I mean it's got jewel.12 megapixel sensors, one with an F 2.6 one with an F 1.7 aperture one's wired ones tell you, so you get that optical zoom option that you get with something like a note 8, but it's just the hardware is there, but the software is not quite up to you to wrap up the razor phone, as I said before, is unique. There's nothing else like it on the market.
It's a phone made by a gamer's designed for gamers, but I, don't know if it's for everybody I mean to me. It's amazing and, like I, said for all of my media consumption. Furthermore, it's probably the best phone I have just watching videos. Just playing games, so yeah I've got for me is ideal because I do have a second phone. But if you don't, if this is your primary driver, and you're looking for something like that, this is probably not going to be the phone for you unless you're into Racer- and you do like me- watch a lot of videos and play a lot of games.
So yeah I think it's great, but it does have somewhat some drawbacks. The camera sucks I'm, not even gonna, hold back on that the camera is terrible, but they said they can update it, and hopefully we'll be continuing improving it, but as a first phone from Racer I'm hugely impressed, you know the specs that under the hood specs are if it was something that made this as a phone, and you know they went all out. I think all of those specs is exactly to expect from a top-tier manufacturer raises done a great job. So before you are tell people what to do next. You know the usual subscribe here and all that shameless plugs.
Tell us: what's your favorite game out right now at the moment. What on the reason anywhere you talk about gaming, if I'm going to be like CMT yet as well. Shout out I'm, a big Gunther is my phone. So right now, that's my you know every day and tourism I'm a driving fan, so yeah I'm, loving that, but on the reason, as you guys saw earlier, I was banging out gear, club, I, think gay club spot. It looks amazing on the razor as well so yeah.
That's what my favorite game. So before we go, can you tell people what to do thanks for watching? Please subscribe if you have any comments or questions put them down there below, but yeah.
