POCO F2 Pro Unboxing & First Impressions

Hi there this is ukase for the tech travel geeks. Today is an exciting day, as we just got. The new Poco f2 pro by Xiaomi check our quick unboxing today and make sure you subscribe to the tech travel geeks to see more of our coverage soon. The box is actually fascinating: black with strong, yellow accents and a yellow back. We can see that, where available, we can use 5g connectivity Xiaomi definitely wanted to highlight that, like some other competitors, they have full access to google services, and they offer high-res audio thanks to the inclusion of the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, you can also find some of the main specs which we'll discuss later, but let's just see. What's in the box inside we get the sim ejector tool which will come in handy later.

Some instructions unfortunately quite damaged. In my case, oh well can't say I was planning to read it anyway. There's also a warranty card and, more importantly, a clear gel case. It's actually textured, so it should hold well. So if you want to use it, it should give you a good start.

Then there's the phone with some more specs printed on the sleeve, but we'll check it in just a moment underneath it there's an USB cable for charging, as well as a European charger, as this is a global version of the phone it's up to 33 watt, so it should be great for f2 pro's, fast charging of up to 30 watt, really handy as the phone itself doesn't support wireless charging. Unfortunately, finally, let's unwrap the phone itself, don't know about you, but I can't wait. I have to admit I had a bit of a scare for the first few minutes, as there was a smudge on one of the camera lenses which looked like a scratch, but luckily it turned out to be just dirt rather than actual damage. It was a big relief. I wasn't planning on returning the phone on day, one cleaning the lens helped, though so the panic is over.

The phone looks great. The cyber gray color looks excellent. The almost bezel-less 6.67-inch screen without the notch looks gorgeous, and it should perform great that it's a super AMOLED one we'll have to see how well it performs, but don't expect any high refresh rate on the sides. The red power button, really pops and the camera unit on the back looks interesting with its quad setup without a big bump expect a full camera review in the near future, but I'll just mention that there's a 64, megapixel, f, 1.9 main sensor, 5 megapixels, telephoto lens, that's just under 2x zoom, 13, megapixel, ultra-wide lens, a 2 megapixel depth sensor for portrait shot. The front-facing camera is actually a pop-up one.

Just like on the Poco f1 make sure you check Matteo's full review from last year. We once again get those mesmerizing LED lights with an animation which is also on the screen as it pops up. The camera itself is a 20 megapixel one, but unfortunately, there's no 4k recording on it. Unlike the main camera, which can record up to 8k video thanks to the latest snapdragon 865 flagship chipset, to finish with the specifications, our model has 6 gigabytes of memory and 128 gigabytes of storage, but there's also 8 gigabytes of ram of 256 gigabytes of storage model as well. Unfortunately, there's no memory card support in either version on the plus side we get NFC for payment and an infrared blaster to replace hotel remotes and the 4700 William hour battery should perform really well so far, I'm quite happy with the Poco f2 pro.

The build quality is great feels quite sturdy and nice to hold the performance should be fantastic. It's one of the cheapest snapdragon 865 devices, but the gaming should be excellent, especially that there's no notch on the screen. Granted. There's no high refresh screen no waterproofing due to the mechanical selfie camera no wireless charging, but for under 400 pounds we paid can't really complain. The biggest question mark is about the camera and the mini software, so make sure you check out full review and camera samples in the future.

That's it for this video we'll also do a phone setup, video and flip case unboxing in the next few days. In the meantime, leave us any comments on what else you'd like to know about this phone and, if you haven't already make sure to subscribe to the tech travel geeks, to see more videos from us soon. Thanks for watching.
