Hey everyone RJ here welcome back to the channel, and today I'll be doing a apeak test comparison between the Pixel 4a and the Pixel 3a XL. Let's get it started, okay, so in this video here I will give you the specs of both these devices and I will be running the mesh mark test and just open up some side-by-side apps together and that's it. So let's go ahead and get started with the boot up test here in three two ones. Now this is, of course the 3axl. So you can see, of course, the size difference here. Yeah yeah, it's different, but let's see which one powers up first will be the 4a or the 3axl okay, so the 4a started up first and there we go with the 3a XL.
So before we go any further, I'm going to give you the specs of these devices. The Pixel 4a runs the snapdragon 730 g processor, with 60 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of internal storage. The pixel 3axl runs the snapdragon 670, with four gigabytes of ram and 64 gigabytes of storage. And that's all you really need to know for this speed test comparison. Now we're going to check out their fingerprint scanners.
Both of them are on the rear of the device. Let's go ahead and check them out right now, a bit faster there on the Pixel 4a track, one more time now, that's pretty, even so, pretty close there for fingerprint scanners. Both of them are very accurate and very quick and when running through these phones. Here I mean both of them just feel so solid. Both of them feel very smooth.
I mean yeah, both them on the stock google launcher. So let's go ahead right now and check out some benchmark scores. So in the Pixel 4a we got a score of 554 single core and 1640 multicore and the pixel 3axl, with a score of 349 single core and 1328 multicore, both on android 10 and both on the August 5th 2020 security patch. So going back home now. One thing I thought I would never use on a phone is the swipe gestures.
Uh I've always been against those, but here lately I've kind of been trying to get used to them. A bit more and everything so uh, a lot of phones has been you know using that, let's go ahead and clear out all these apps. This is one thing right here that I have a hard time with I'm just finding that there we go everything is cleared out of both of these phones, so we'll go ahead and get started with this test. Starting now that was the Pixel 4a. I do believe YouTube that was barely the Pixel 4a calculator for a calendar that was even clocked for a barely target.
App that's going to go to the Pixel 4a by a long shot there. Let's go into Amazon shopping. That was the Pixel 4a there once again, Instagram pretty close. Let's go into the play store and the Pixel 4a did take it there, prime video that was the Pixel 4a Snapchat Pixel 4a, took it twitter. That was the Pixel 4a Netflix.
That was the 4a. Once again, temple run 2, so yeah a little faster here on the Pixel 4a, we'll see how it does in gaming and wow. That was a lot faster, yeah, quite a bit of difference there by several seconds: let's go back home, let's go into dead trigger and the 4a definitely took over their opening dead trigger, let's go back home, and we'll go into PUBG mobile, okay, so the Pixel 4a comes in at 350. The 3axl last year was 479. The 3a was, I think, 400.
, I'm sure it's a lot cheaper now, but the 730g processor versus the 670 two extra gigabytes of ram here in the 4a and it just you can tell the performance boost. I mean it just works great. All these little x's. You got to press and stuff like that. This game is ready to go now the x's pop up here.
So you see it's not that far behind both of them are going to play. Games just fine, but they're going to perform just fine. However, the edge does go to the Pixel 4a and just you know, better performance, heavier usage, you're going to see much faster performance with the Pixel 4a, so just check out some reloads here on these devices going to pub g mobile, and we're open. Let's go into dead trigger, and we're good to go. Temple run 2 yep we're good to go there.
Netflix open twitter, open, Snapchat, we're good prime we're good. The play store is open, Instagram is open, Amazon is open targets, open clock is open, calendar calculator, YouTube and the bible. Everything was open there on the 4a now on the 3a XL PUBG is open, so get used to that swipe feature there dead trigger was open, temple run 2 bites of a glitch, but it was open. Netflix had to reload, Twitter was open, Snapchat were open, prime video were good play store were good, Instagram were good. Amazon were good, a bit of a reload there, but I think it was for the most part open.
I don't know you all. Let me know target was open, clockwork, good calendar, we're a good calculator, we're good YouTube is open, and the bible was open. So ram management on these here on both of these phones are perfect. No reloads here a few little glitches and little restarts here on the 3axl, but both these phones are still perfect. Now, if you want a bigger pixel than the 4a, the 3axl is still a perfect phone um.
But you are going to see some suffering, and you know and heavier usage. This phone here can handle whatever I throw at it. The 3axl can too, but it does tend to slow down a little, and you know I mean the 670 here versus the 7 30 g 4 gigabytes of ram 6 gigabytes of ram. I mean there, you go using the test. Let me know what you all think: what's up with the form of it anyway, hit the like button.
