Oppo Find X3 Pro Real World Camera Test and Unboxing

Oh, I almost had a battery. It's not a good way to start the day. Apparently it might rain today, but rain or shine I'm going to head out to get some dope shots with this camera, which, even just from that t montage, including the micro lens, I'm already pretty impressed, but before I do any of that, I have to make sure I have enough battery life to make the trip. Now here we are on the front-facing camera, as I'm looking at the battery percentage, I'm below 5-5, and normally that would uh. That would worry me, but this is an Oppo phone, so vouch charging is a thing. Let's rewind the clock, a little as we let the phone charge up using that super took charging, hey it's Joshua verger! What's going on everybody here we are with the opp, find x3 pro in this real world camera test.

You might have noticed on social media that a lot of people have been showing off the special teaser box that was hiding the actual phone box within now I decided to hold off on showing any of that until I can give you the full unboxing experience in this video with that said, I'm super happy that you came to check out my video on this phone. As I'm sure there are a ton of other pieces of content coming out about it right now, as we get into the actual unboxing. Let me know that you like seeing these pieces unravel by liking this video and by subscribing to my channel for more on OPPO's latest device. Now, first things. First, the teaser box had the phone box, like I said, nestled uniquely, ready for me to get started on enjoying the find x3 pro.

I dive right into the first layer of the box, which has what I expect, but always appreciate an included case on top of all the other accessories that are even more significant for reasons we'll get to in a second. You can already see from the case that there will be a unique shape to the phone with these curves that come up to meet the camera bump and with that the hype intensifies we get to the phone itself, which immediately struck me as a pretty sleek and thin unit. It's easy to expect that high-end phones will get larger and larger, but the find x3 pro is already ergonomically. Pleasing, as I get the plastic off revealed, is the gloss black color, which is the more reflective colorway compared to the matte blue. By the way you can see that phone over at ESA does tech check out SSA's video for that edition of the phone and for her camera test in the link, above and also in the description below the gloss back, might be better considered like an onyx, especially with the shine and the way it is all molded together.

What we used to call a camera bump is probably better considered a hump now, because it's not just something that protrudes out of the phone anymore. There are lines that literally curve up to meet it now. There's some serious power in this camera package, but we're going to cover that later in the video also included with the phone are USB earbuds that I, admittedly probably won't use, but the rest of the included accessories are a big deal because number one they're included at all and number two. The charging components in particular have OPPO's superfood charging. So while the debate around included or not included accessories rages on, I think we can all agree that if you're going to include them, they better be worth it and super took charging definitely makes it worth it now, with the core of the teaser box done with quite literally, I find extra components with a few extra goodies.

First off the teaser invitation to the phone's announcement event is kinda shiny, and then there are a couple of other cases separately. Packaged the soft material gray case ends up being the one that I'm really into, because the Oppo find x3 pro turns out to be a little slippery, which honestly isn't the biggest surprise given its super sleek design. So, with the phone out and set up, let's go ahead and get into some high level details about this phone, I'm already loving the design which looks way better in real life than it ever did in those leaks and renders, as I said, though, the phone can be a little slippery, but that's also partially because the phone is pretty thin. Despite the power within the power starts with the fantastic AMOLED display that pumps out quad, HD plus resolution at an adaptive, high refresh rate of up to 120hz Oppo screens have always been pretty fantastic, and that definitely continues here. The in-display fingerprint reader gets a little low on the screen this time around, while the punch hole camera helps with the also fast face, unlock and powering.

All of this is the snapdragon 888 fully expected to make this phone a powerhouse for all the work and play from typical tasks to high-powered gaming in titles like pascal's, wager and gentian impact, and of course it all goes through that great display. So streaming content, whether it's like YouTube, Netflix, Disney, plus or even Xbox game pass. All is done excellently as well and, of course all of this is on top of the feature packed color OS 11, which brings OPPO's flavor of android 11. Now I already did a full overview of color OS 11, so, if you're unfamiliar with what oboe brings to the table on top of the standard android experience, you can actually check out my video also in the link above and in the description below. Finally, rounding everything out is 12 gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabytes of storage, which is not expandable this time.

But thankfully 256 is the standard, because we're going to get a lot of 4k video recorded with this bad boy, but first things. First in under 45 minutes, the 65w super UK 2.0, flash charger included with the phone got me to 100 from five percent ready to tackle a pretty busy day. It might be raining I mean you could see the darker clouds going through, but as I'm looking at the front facing camera right now, I'm pretty impressed with the quality. But let me just put it out there I say with every phone, and it's still a bummer whenever it happens, there's no 4k video recording on the front now. I know that in a lot of ways, maybe that doesn't matter for some of you out there, but for content.

Creators for people who want to have flexibility with their content and also just higher quality in general 4k is like the badge that says: that's probably going to be possible, but looking at the viewfinder right now, as I'm doing this shot before I leave for the la arboretum. Well, the quality is not too bad. The dynamic range is actually it's: okay, um, but yeah, I'm actually in a good lighting situation. I think you can get some good video off the front so now that we're finally at the arboretum, let's get to the cameras, I'm already really excited about this camera package, because the spec sheet immediately shows where Oppo is putting its main efforts. Both the main sensor and the ultra-wide are the same Sony, 50, megapixel mix sensor a detail that is important for a few big reasons.

First off it helps to ensure that the color tuning between these two highly used sensors are the same so that you don't get any shifts when moving from one to another and by using these two sensors in these two particular angles. OPPO also ensures that the same high quality capture can be done in what I would argue will be the most used lenses in this package, particularly for the ultra-wide camera. The fact that it is a 50 megapixel sensor means that you can get a lot of detail in those wide shots, but it also doubles up as a macro lens, which is pretty cool. I'm on the wide angle right now got to do this other vlog test, where you use the 4k recording on the rear in the ultra-wide. So you can get these vlogging shots that you wouldn't be able to get otherwise on the front facing camera yeah.

I already mentioned that the dynamic range could be better, but the other thing the other layer to it is that the camera just comes in super hot. You can see it's overexposed. It's always doing that on the front facing camera, no matter what mode you go to. So, if I were to just tap on myself, really bring it down, you could see it looks a lot better. It actually looks pretty good for 1080p capture and not only that I'm also using uh the both effect on the front-facing camera in the video mode.

So you get even more uh depth of field, even if it's soft or enhanced, and it ultimately makes for a video that looks actually pretty nice, I'm pretty happy with what I'm looking at on the viewfinder. Hopefully it will translate to good quality, even when I bring this over to a computer. Now, that's not to say you can't zoom at all. The find x3 pro still includes a telephoto lens at 13 megapixels, allowing for five times hybrid zooming and then topping out at 20 times for the more oil painting like results. Now the claims regarding color consistency are illustrated as a move among the different lenses in this clip where you can see the video seamlessly shipped from ultra-wide to main, but then some shifting does occur.

When I move over to the two times, the telephoto lens is still a viable tool, providing practical levels of zoom that yield diminishing returns past that five times. So no, we won't be prioritizing pictures of the moon with this phone, but I know I'm plenty happy taking pictures of these ducks at the arboretum. So that brings us to the unique part of this camera package, this big lens or big, looking lens right here, the micro lens. Yes, it is called a micro lens, meaning that it is essentially a microscope of sorts and that's the name of the mode. This is definitely a first while we have been arguing the usefulness of macro lenses.

OPPO. Remember that an ultra-wide angle, camera can take care of that. So why not go all in on the close-up photography with a special lens in what might be a polarizing methodology. OPPO asks you to literally lie the micro lens on your subject, be it a rock, a wooden bench leaves or some match powder and angle, the bottom half of the phone, so that you can get the right distance from the lens and your subject. The ring light that is on the micro lens, ensures exposure, despite literally covering the subject, and yet the focus plane is super fine, so it can take a few tries to get an interesting photo.

Okay, I can already imagine all of your reactions, because they're, probably the same as my initial reaction, it's hard to imagine situations where this micro lens might actually be useful. I mean in what vlog what I need to show you, the literal granules of my match powder as I'm making my milk tea. I don't know the answer to that question, but I will tell you this. This micro lens is fascinating, and it's an absolute novelty. Even if I do get scared that I'm going to scratch the camera lenses by lying this whole part down on a surface, but what I will give Oppo credit for is introducing something incredibly different and interestingly unique technically by going so all in on the macro that it is now literally micro.

Always my favorite part about coming here- hey dunks hanging out with the ducks right now. I was messing around with the main video mode and the button for turning on the both mode. Also, there too not just for the front, so I suppose that's obvious, but now hit that both mode, and now we got some uh blurred background ducks. Now, as you could probably see, quality across the board is really great. The 50 megapixel sensors are doing their job beautifully.

Well, the main sensor especially has a wonderful native depth of field. Of course, you can go into the pro mode for a raw capture, or you can go into the movie mode and record a log format, video so that you have full control over the coloration speaking of the movie mode, I'm really happy with it, because it's the best way that I've ever seen manual controls organized the most important controls are roughly around the same area as the record button itself, and you even get a numerical value to the manual focus so that you know where to stop and go in your rack. Focusing on the other side. You still have important, but less used features like the log format recording and a stabilization mode. This enhanced stabilization mode actually slightly crops into the footage so that you can get both is and as working together.

While it will be nice to get some full control over video capture. I actually use movie modes like this to slightly lower exposure compensation. Auto modes tend to come in too hot right away, so it's nice to have the movie mode there, so I can switch to it, and it's already set to negative.5. So I can get better exposed, 4k content pretty quickly. I'm honestly really impressed with the cameras on the Oppo find x3 pro, not just because the 50 megapixel cameras are used in the focal lengths that I'll probably shoot with the most, but also because Oppo seems to have kept things somewhat simple and focused on the quality of their raw capture in the hardware simply put Oppo doesn't get too lost in the software sauce by including tons of software powered shooting modes that might not even get you the best quality results and ultimately end up collecting dust.

Don't get me wrong. All of those other modes can be fun. Fun is fun, but the same amount of pleasure and accomplishment can be achieved by just having great results in and out of the rain. A lot of driving a lot of going around today, but it'll all be worth. It always got to come around here at some point.

Some nice slightly sweet match for a treat after a long day of vlogging, with the Oppo find x3 pro micro lens aside, Oppo has put together a camera package that is equal parts, quality and practical. You can still zoom if you want to and then, if you really want to get nuts take a microscope picture and then maybe have people guess what you took a picture of the changes in the Oppo find x3 pro this time around are specific and, of course, have to do with the cameras, a camera that's designed well on the outside to provide the phone with a new, unique style, and it is also powerful on the inside, ultimately helping the camera cap off a great experience so far with the Oppo find x3 pro for more on OPPO's latest flagship, including my ultimate complaints and takeaways video make sure you subscribe to my channel if you haven't already with all that said, we're going to go ahead and call it on this video. Thank you so much for watching. Please take care of yourselves and each other and enjoy your tea. Everybody.
