The OnePlus, 9 and 9 pro provide the biggest leap in recent years, and now we have both handsets in-house we've decided to give the duo some early unboxing and first impressions' treatment thanks for watching 95 google here on YouTube, remember to thumbs up, hit, subscribe and then tap the bell icon to be among the first to watch our upcoming videos so ahead of time, the biggest notable with the entire OnePlus 9 series is that new partnership with camera stalwart's Hasselblad, as you would expect there are some serious hints on the OnePlus, 9 and 9 pro packaging. That would be hard to avoid when unboxing it for yourself. If you didn't already know that Hasselblad are involved with OnePlus on this device. There are a few things to note, though. It's highly unlikely that you will get a special media pack with your OnePlus 9 series handset, so your overall unboxing might be a little less jam-packed, but still exciting. Nonetheless, of course, the massive media box comes with both devices plus the warp wireless 50 watt charger compatible with the OnePlus 9 pro, although it should charge the standard OnePlus 9 at 15 watt speeds.
There are also some staple cases for the OnePlus 9 pro with the classic sandstone and carbon fiber options likely to be available when you pre-order the 9 series, let's put those aside for a moment and focus upon the baseline OnePlus 9, though, of course you'll recognize the red packaging of the red styling. It's been here since the launch of the OnePlus 7t back in 2019, but with a little tweak and that Hasselblad logo up front and center, so you can't miss it after slicing the rear, adhesive tape pulling the lid off the box and there's the purplish winter mist variant, which looks incredibly striking even under studio lighting. Putting that aside, though, let's see what we get in the retail box there's a clear case. That's etched inside with like a texture, so you should be able to admire that stunning color option from the OnePlus 9 series, but you also get that never settle logo. There too, and a slightly larger camera cut out this year.
It's actually quite a flexible squidgy case to boot, which should keep your OnePlus 9 protected, at least until you opt for another one, but putting that aside and there's also an USB to USB charge cable in the trademark, OnePlus red, which is compatible with the new 65 watt warp charge, brick in the EU flavor here, which should take you from around zero to 100 in under 45 minutes. So pretty superfast from the get-go. The box lead also contains some accouterments, including all the paperwork, and even a welcome letter from Pete Lowe himself with a sim eject tool. I was told that the retail packaging should have a sticker, but I couldn't seem to find it in my box, but that's everything in the OnePlus 9 packaging. So, let's see what's different in the OnePlus 9 pros box.
So it too has that Hasselblad logo embossed upon the bottom edge of the box. OnePlus really wants us to know that the Swedish firm are involved with the OnePlus 9 series and pulling off the lid. You get to see that this is the silvery morning, mist finish, which is just a fancy way really of saying a fingerprint magnet mirror style. I can already feel the soft curves on all sides of the device. This does come with a curved display, but let's put that aside and see what else we have in here.
So, unlike the OnePlus 9, the pro at least in the morning, mist comes with a soft gray case. It's matte rather than glossy, and it has the never settle logo down. There to note the large camera cutout. It's also a bit larger to accommodate the new camera setup in the box. We also get that new USB to USB, charge, cable and the 65 watt warp charge.
Brick is also included, so no need to go out and buy a separate charger with any of the new OnePlus 9 devices. It also has all the paperwork and letter from Pete LAU, but again I couldn't seem to find the OnePlus sticker. So maybe you will have more luck with your own retail box. If you do plan to order this device at this early stage, though after powering on and whizzing through the basic setup, I must admit I'm already feeling an affinity towards the smaller OnePlus 9 rather than the pro. I think the color and the flat display might be big sellers this time around, but yeah, it's still a relatively early unboxing.
To give you some first impressions, we will have some further thoughts and a full review, plus comparisons with the OnePlus, 8 and 8 pro in the coming days, so of course stay tuned for those, but until next time this is Damian with 95 google saying thanks for watching, and I will speak to you later. You.
