OFFICIAL Google Pixel 2 XL Fabric Case | Unboxing and Quick Look! By GadgetPrime

Hey everyone- this is Jeff with ketchup I'm here with another video, and today we're looking at the official Google Pixel to excel case in fabric, and you can see that the color that I picked up is carbon I bought this from Best Buy for about 40 dollars plus tax, and there seems to be a limited availability, but at least Best Buy does have some official cases. So looking around the box, it's a pretty plain box, just white all around. It is a fabric case and basically just has a bunch of Google logos, I counted at least three on it, but it was let's dive in slides right off, and here you go with the actual case in the box. So the G Google logo is actually silicone. It feels like actually a nice little touch to have that difference in the material used, and so let's pop this out of the box and set the Box aside, so you can see it has cutouts for the fingerprint sensor, as well as the camera cutout and around the side. You have the power button that feels like it might be, muddled and then the volume rocker as well that's actually covered fully by the fabric.

So there's a nice little differentiator to help you find which button you're. Looking for that's that's a nice little touch that Google added. Looking on the inside of the case, you'll see that there is the soft touch fabric on the inside and, of course, that fabric on the outside wraps around I believe that this is the same or very similar fabric. That's used with a new Google Home Mini, but otherwise you know it is a nice feeling case. Looking around on the inside.

You can see that the buttons are actually flushed with the case, and hopefully you guys can see that in the lighting. But basically what we have here is buttons that are flush and that really helps activate the buttons on the side of the case, there's actually a little imprint, Google Pixel to that's imprinted into the fabric right there, nice little touch I, think anyways. Let's pop that pixel to excel in and see how it looks and feels alright. So it pops right in I: do an AM film, tempered glass screen protector on the device right now? So that's what you're, seeing in case you were wondering about that, and I can throw a link to the video review of that later, but anyways back to the case. Looking around, of course, on the bottom, you have that opening for the USB-C charging port.

The case itself goes right up to the edge of the phone I. Think I would have liked to see that this would have wrapped around a little. You know I can see why Google may not have wanted to do that because of incompatibility potentially with other charging cables and such, but it does leave a little more than I'd like being exposed on the bottom. In case you are looking for all around 360 degree protection. Otherwise, the camera and flash are nicely centered in the cutout, as well as the fingerprint sensor perfectly cut out perfectly measured, as you would expect from an official case from Google going around in front.

You can see that it goes around the sides quite nicely and in the hand, feel is actually really great and the quality of the case seems to be top-notch now. Here's the real test, the buttons. So let's go ahead and power it on that is a nice very nice button there and the volume keys are actually super styled as well all right. This is actually a really nice case. I'm really happy with it.

So one thing that some cases have difficulty with is that swipe down gesture to open up the notification shade, but as you can see, that worked with one try, and it does seem to be a little more difficult getting it down, but practicing a couple of times there we go I think I've got the hang of it. It does make it a little harder, I think just because the case itself is a little thicker I'd estimate, you know maybe three or so millimeters away from the body of the phone, but you know again, maybe a little better drop protection for it. Overall, it's an it's a very nice case and I think I would reckon, but let me give it a couple of days, and I'll provide an update for all of you on this case and let you know whether I think it's worth it.
