What is up guys welcome to the big on box, where we do that small tech and today, I am back with another big on boxing, for you say we're back with the all new iPad Mini 2019 edition. That was just released. We're new, quick, unboxing, quick overview, as always, I thought the link in the video description. If you guys want to check it out pricing on this one he's gonna start at 399, depending on what variation you neither that 64 gigs for 399, and then you bump all the way up to I think 550 for the 256. Obviously, most people probably don't want the 256. So that's the route I win comes in three different colors.
You got the Space Gray, you got gold, and then you've got these old-school silver version as well. I, don't think the actual design has changed much on the many verses they many fours. So this one's going to be just pretty much an upgrade in specs and that's probably one of the key things. This is a portable tablet that at least a lot of people do like because it's easy to carry around with you, and it's not as bulky, so I really like this particular tablet, and it definitely was needing an upgrade on the actual ship side. So this has got the 12 chip inside.
It's still got the 7.9 inch Retina display not pretty much else. It's got the touch ID as well. So keep that in mind. There's a few upgrades versus the four and beyond, but overall the presentation is probably going to be the same, but presentation box wise looks about the same as well. You can see the iPad Mini.
You can see it on the side right there, and they also came out with the iPad Air 2019 Edition that was just released as well today, so I moved the Space Gray, let's go and check it out. Presentation looks pretty much like an Apple box like at the usual Apple white box. So let's go get to the unboxing and see what it looks like see. If there's any type of changes between this one and then obviously the last one was that iPad Mini 4, so it's been a while since they've upgraded this one, so it's definitely needing to it's hard to say. Is it one of those things that do you need this tablet? Andy Morris with all the rest of the choices out there I think yes be still portable, and it's still going to give you.
You know it's one of those things: it's not it's not a phone, but it's actually bigger than a phone, but you could actually tuck it in your. You know your side jacket or something like that and carried around without any issue. So here it is definitely feeling real small in the hands too compared to some other big-boy tablets out there. That they've been releasing. Give you guys a look at that here.
It is right there give you guys, just a peek at that we'll get back to it, got your usual suspects here, probably now fast charge. Well, yeah they did. They actually included a fast charge so shout out to them for including a fast charge on this one I wasn't really sure what to expect nice job got your fast charger, brick right there, you got your usual adapter, that's pretty much it literature wise, probably got your usual suspects from Apple. That's pretty much it in terms of presentation. Let's get to the main feature.
Very nice clean actually like that, a lot that space gray does look really nice. Look at that. So my first impression is definitely feeling really nice to hold in the hands very, very pretty much portable. As you can see, you can just carry this anywhere with one hand. It's definitely going to have the bezel, so you really not.
They really could have done a better job with this design. Why not update the design in terms of the bezels a little, but it's definitely got that old-school. Look to it, which is kind of you know, you've come to really look, no, no one loved, but the actual back itself. I like that Space Gray got the Apple logo right there. You can see the space square really looks nice on this particular small frame got your camera cutout right there very small camera.
Really most people don't buy iPads for cameras. Again I with the 256 version and little iPad logo right there. Very nice, very nice, look to it very sleek thin. All the way around give you guys some different angles of this one very nice and I wonder when what the silver one but the server one still got the same issues. It's got that white bezel, which kind of drives me nuts, so at least kind of update thing kind of done.
A lot with this bezel there's quite a bit of bezel top right there. You can see it's really nothing's change in terms of the design, so you got bezel. So this is definitely not looks kind of outdated even compared to some other models from iPad II, like the iPad Pro that was just released, definitely did a better job with the design. This is probably a better look right there. You can see bezel on bezel, so this is definitely gonna, be not for everybody.
That's you know. Not a big fan of bezels, because that's on bezel and bezel on bezel, but for the most part it's going to do the trick. It's got that one-handed feels very nice to type on I'm sure very nice presentation portable, which is the key word. This is not going to be for everybody, but for everybody maybe wants a throwback tablet that actually does a lot. This one, probably and you're going to use the updated Apple Pencil on this one as well.
So that's an upgraded feature for this particular version. I just wanted to get this to you guys and see how it looked, and I actually really like the design. Again, it's got the old-school design to it, but- and they did a few tweaks with it- I like that Space Gray a lot so the backs kind of got more of an upgraded look to it. Now the Front's going to be exactly the same as what you're used to. But overall you know this is gonna, be one of those old-school classics.
That's probably going to be hid from me. Let me know what you guys think about this. One in the comment section is that it hit. Is it a miss? Do you think that this is even necessary in 2019? Do people need a iPad Mini when there are phones? This is a 7.9-inch tablet, there are phones that are the iPad or the iPhone max 6.4 inch I think it's actually 6.5-inch screens. So that's really close.
Let me know what you guys think about that in the comment section hit this subscribes button I'll see you guys next time you.
