Today we're going to talk about the lg k61, which is another one of lg budget smartphones and is the higher end model of the k series, which includes the k61, k51s and k41s. If we talk about the design, there isn't anything extraordinary in the way the lg k61 looks. The design looks somewhat like the old smartphones that used to be popular until a few years back, but at the same time it doesn't look completely outdated either. The curves on this phone make it look attractive, and it feels very comfortable when you hold it. So, although it's not very flashy or extraordinarily beautiful, it has a simple but pleasing design. There is a quad camera setup on the back, but unlike most phones where the quad camera is in a vertical setup, this one has the camera lenses placed horizontally in a row.

The fingerprint sensor is present below the camera setup and the sensor works perfectly well. The right edge of this phone has your power button and one slot for sim card. While the left one has two keys for volume control and one extra button below it to use Google Assistant, the top only has one microphone and nothing else, and the bottom edge has another microphone. A headphone jack in the standard, 3.5 mm size, speaker grille, and the USB port for charging, which is c type coming to the display for a phone of this price range. The display is neither too fancy nor too disappointing.

It has a full HD, plus lcd, that's 6.53 inches in size, the colors on the screen. Looks fine, especially the pure blacks, look much better than they would on many other LCD screens. One downside here is that the brightness cannot be cranked up to make it blindingly bright. So if you're out in the sun, you might have trouble viewing the screen. Clearly, one great feature in the lgk61 is that it lets you change the scaling of the display, so you can adjust the size of the UI elements on your screen, although it may seem like such a simple feature, but the number of phones that don't come with this trivial seeming feature is surprisingly high.

Talking of the sound, this is one department where this phone isn't that much of a success. The sounds coming out of the speakers on the bottom edge feel very flat and the volume is not very high. Even when maxed out, you can still make do with it, but the sound just doesn't do justice the price you're paying for this phone, although if you want to use a headset, the lg k61 does support DT is x, surround sound, so you'll be able to add some extra volume to some videos. You can use both wired and Bluetooth headphones with this phone coming to the camera. It is also pretty standard for the price range.

It comes with a quad camera setup, with a primary sensor of 48 megapixels, an ultra-wide of 8 megapixels, a macro camera of 5 megapixels and lastly, a depth sensor of 2 megapixels, as is usually the case with budget smartphones. At least two of the four cameras serve no real function and have been added just so that the quad camera feature can be used for marketing. But despite that, the camera isn't actually bad. The colors from the 48 megapixel camera are balanced, surprisingly. Well, it doesn't over saturate colors at all, and the HDR is amazing as well.

The sharpness and detailing are lost to some extent in smaller details of pictures and the autofocus isn't very great. It sometimes focuses on objects that are not supposed to be the main focus of the picture. This problem can be solved by tapping on the screen to focus, but it'll be an obstruction. If you want an uninterrupted point and shoot experience, the lg k61 comes with an ultra-wide camera, but it seems as if it has been added only as a formality. It has a pretty evident fish eye effect in the picture's edges, and it sometimes blows colors severely out of proportion for no good reason which causes it to create rather unrealistic images.

This phone does not have a night mode, so in dim light there is just no way for you to click good pictures. The images will look. Grainy in the resolution wouldn't be up to standard. The video recording is also substandard and though it seems sharp. Sometimes it doesn't perform that well in changing lighting conditions.

The dynamic range is not very great, and it doesn't offer any image stabilization either. As there is no night mode, your videos are going to appear grainy in low light conditions, just like the photos will coming to the performance. The lg k61 has the MediaTek hello p35 processor, it's not the fastest processor you'll come across, and sometimes it's unable to perform even the most basic of tasks because of the processor used literally, everything will take longer to open and even longer for loading. So you can forget about multitasking on this phone. If you, for example, try to do anything while you're, also watching YouTube in the multi-window mode, you'll immediately feel that everything is running a lot slower.

This is something that hardly ever happens with most other smartphones of this price range. This phone comes with a 4gb ram and an internal storage of 64gb, which might not be sufficient for many people. The Wi-Fi performance of this phone is also not up to the mark in areas of your house where other phones work just fine. This one might struggle with connecting to the internet. The battery life of this phone is something that breaks the seemingly unending streak of unsatisfactory features.

It comes with a 4000mah battery that will easily last you through two days of usage. The most disappointing fact about the lg k61 is that this phone still runs on android 9 high, even though it's a two-year-old version of android when most, if not all, phones, feature an android 10. , while android 11 is also slowly going to come to the mainstream, the software being used on the lgk61 seems extremely outdated. However, even though it doesn't have an android 10, this phone still offers some good features, such as a dark mode, but it won't apply to all the apps that support the native dark mode of android. One good thing about lg phones is that they don't overcomplicate things by duplicating any service.
