At least in size, LG's new models owe nothing to other manufacturers' top-of-the-line models. The K series has three devices that have the same height and width as the Galaxy S20 Ultra, for example, but with a smaller screen - and why does this happen? The cause of this are the bezels. In the three cell phones they are more pronounced, especially at the bottom but already show an effort by the South Korean to deliver more screen for content consumption. Following on the screen, another change that LG proposes to keep its phones in line with design trends is to adopt the hole for the front camera at the top to the center of the screen, the same place used by Samsung on most of its devices. The side of the three models is made of chrome plastic and imitates metal, with the positioning of the buttons in the same way.

The power supply with fingerprint reader on the right side, volume buttons and Google Assistant on the left together with the carrier chip drawer. The microphone is at the top and bottom of the speaker, USB port and P2 port for headphones. On the back of the devices LG decided to make the joke official and christened its cooktop design camera module. The three models have four cameras and only the K62 has a smaller, round LED flash. The two most advanced models have a Silk Blast finish, which has a glass grip and the K52 differs from the others with a corrugated plastic rear.

This finish is strange at first glance but believe me, you get used to it, and the grip is the best of the three phones. The family arrives with a 6.6" screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and only HD+ resolution, something that could be better considering the size of the displays. Here we see darker edges and the center of the screen with good lighting. Consuming content here is not the best experience, but not enough to disappoint. being focused on cost-effective, neither model has refresh rate above 60 Hz and was not expected something different.

The three cellphones have mono speaker output and can be easily muffled with one hand, which is what normally happens when playing. The sound itself is not the most immersive, aimed at acute and metallic appearance and some distortion at maximum volume, especially in the K62 Plus. However, the good news is that the three have P2 input and headphones in the box. by placing the LG phone displays a warning about the 3D sound that may be the had the headphones and then the experience improves, bringing a stereo with good volume although the headset has the famous shower design and white plastic construction that is basic, as the sound quality of the headset itself.

The three models come out of the box with Android 10 on board and the LG UX interface, which appeared with the LG Velvet. The Korean manufacturer's software updates policy is unclear in relation to updates and in the presentation the company even mentioned that Android 11 had not been released. Well, maybe not for LG. In any case, they should receive the update for Android 11, but users should not expect any major updates beyond this one. The interface has its modifications compared to pure Android starting with the taskbar, which can have colors changed and the lack of an application drawer that can be placed in the settings.

We also need to mention the above-tolerable amount of pre-installed apps, as the three models feature packages that include games, hospitality apps and even TikTok. You may already know about the longstanding partnership between LG and MediaTek, which supplies the chipsets to South Korean intermediaries - so we have Helio P22 on the K52 and P35 on the K62 and K62 Plus. The most basic model has 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB for storage, while what differentiates the models from the K62 line is storage, with the Plus offering 128 GB of internal space. In the cold tests, very similar results in AnTuTu, 93 thousand in K52 and practically a tie between the two most advanced models , both in the 100 thousand points. These are not exciting results, but the proposal of the three is cost-effective, with intermediate performance.

There are no differences in the battery capacity of the three models, all of them have 4,000 mAh and promise a duration for a full day of work. But this we will discover in our standardized tests, and it is worth mentioning that competitor models already have capacities that even exceed 5,000 mAh. The charging power is not the highest, as the three models have a charger embedded in the box with 10-watt power. That is, if you are in a hurry to leave the house and need to recharge your cell phone you will not have the speed that more powerful models offer, and perhaps the best is the traditional recharge at bedtime. The entire line has 4 rear cameras and a front camera - on the K52 the main camera is 13 MP while the other two models come with a 48 MP sensor that joins four pixels for a 12 MP photo.

There is still an ultra-wide, macro and depth sensor. In selfies, each has a lens - 8 MP on the K52, 13 MP on the K62 and 28 MP on the K62 Plus. And this difference is clear at the time of the photos. There is a trend in saturated colors in the three models and the most basic one delivers a clean image with few details, while things improve with the two most advanced ones with results that match your price range. That is, nothing exciting, but enough for social networks.

The macro does not excite, staying away from rivals Motorola, for example. Ultra-wide makes pictures well lit, but there is a noticeable loss in sharpness. In the main camera, the three cell phones deliver darker images, even in high contrast situations. But especially in the K62 Plus, there is good clarity and preservation of details. In videos, all record in Full HD, either with the front or rear camera and it is not possible to choose the refresh rate.

LG struggled to keep its intermediate models at aggressive prices and the three models were launched at prices that, in times of high dollar, managed to remain competitive. The values ​​vary between R$ 1,500 and R$ 2,100 in the launch price, but it is possible to find lower values in a short time, as is already common in the LG K series. These are just the first impressions and each model will receive a complete individual analysis that will present more details of each one. At this first glance, it is impossible not to notice that there are more similarities than differences between them and once again LG bets on resistant middlemen, with good construction but that deliver an overall performance that follows its price range.
