Is $20 BlackBerry Bold 9790 still worth it in 2019? (Part 1) - Head To Head Review By ItsMinBaik

Hello, this is head-to-head. Welcome to my review of blackberry 97-90 in 2019 I actually purchased. This blackberry 97-90 for around 20 dollars here in Indonesia, as I, was trying to fight against my everlasting addiction with the internet. I've always wanted a blackberry and I never owned one when he was everywhere. So I thought it could be a good middle ground as this phone connects to 3G network and has some features that normal feature phones do not have well, at least that's what I thought in the box. We can see the charger and the earphones the charging cable actually stopped functioning after a while.

That's why it's not here the earphones are very plastic and just normal earphones that you get from cheap, Samsung phones will make you cry out of joy as these Blackberry earphones are not for music at all. Blackberry 97-90 rocks at 2.45-inch TFT touchscreen with 480 by 360 resolution compared to modern smartphones. It's not impressive at all, but back in the days it was good enough as it has higher pixel density of 245 PPI than the beginning of modern smartphone. iPhone 3G is 165 PPI, although by the time blackberry 97-90 came out, Apple had already released the iPhone for one year ago, which has Retina display. The design of blackberry, though, is arguably the best part about this phone.

It's something that has aged very well and while carrying this phone around in public I turned some people's heads around with the gorgeous backlit physical keyboard and the unique blackberry design. That probably reminds many people of simpler times. A decade ago. The BlackBerry 97-90 has a removable 1030 million power battery that might not be sufficient for modern smartphones, with snapdragon 855 before this phone with a one gigahertz single core CPU, it is more than enough to last a full day of use with my usage pattern anyways. Although this phone is able to connect to 3G network, it has to be connected to blackberry internet service to use the internet.

That means if your mobile carrier does not offer the BlackBerry internet service, the only option you'll have is Wi-Fi, and since there has been a huge decline in the number of BlackBerry users, the chances are. Your mobile carrier does not offer the service anymore. It turned out even with the BlackBerry internet service enabled there wasn't much. I could do with this phone other than BBM as every other messaging app that I use such as WhatsApp. It's not supported anymore, also blackberry world, which is the App Store and Google Play Store equivalent in blackberry, OS, is officially shutting down at the end of this year, and it'll be impossible for users that are using BlackBerry's with blackberry, OS to download and install apps from the official store next year.

The operating system provides a rather surprisingly fast experience, unlike Android or iOS. There are much over complications that make the phone's operating system sluggish overall, if you're, looking for a phone that you can easily carry around to just make phone calls and send text messages, this phone offers still the same user experience that he used to offer back in 2011 when blackberry was still very much of a dominant player in the smartphone market. Only eight gigabytes of internal memory may seem little in 2019, but you won't be needing much as you're not going to be installing any apps on this. If you want to store pictures, videos, music and perhaps some documents, blackberry 97-90- offers a micro SD card slot for your needs. Surprisingly enough, installing a new set of firmer was very easy to do.

The official, BlackBerry desktop manager is still supported to this day, and I was even able to downgrade and upgrade to whichever software that was available. Blackberry 97-90 does not support BlackBerry OS 10, which offers Android app compatibility, but you can still play games like brick breaker to waste your time away if you're really bored, which I have done a lot as I, couldn't ditch my old habits, so is blackberry 97-90 worth buying in 2019? Well, it depends on what type of person you are if you're looking for a phone that can give you a break from the internet. Just like me, then yeah it can be a great phone for that purpose. However, if you're looking for a phone that can replace your smartphone, the BlackBerry 97-90 is probably not for you. Thank you for watching my review for more videos.
