iPhone SE (2020) vs iPhone 8: Speed & Camera Test Comparison

What's going on everyone in this video I'm going to be comparing the iPhone SE s, camera and performance against the iPhone 8. So, first, we're going to do a camera comparison pick between a or B and at the end, you're going to find out, which is which, and then we'll get to the performance test. So, let's get started the cameras pretty stunning out. It's a really nice day, though, you can see the water over there. It is about 8:30 p. m.

kind of dark outside, and we are recording this video in 4k at 60 frames per second, you cannot even see my frogs as I'm walking, but I'm going to go ahead and flip over to the front-facing camera now recording with the front cameras. This is being recorded in 1080p at 30 frames per second and from what it looks like you know. The camera on the left-hand side is looking a little brighter, but that's just maybe the screen, so I'm gonna quickly jog. So you can get an idea for stable I mean they should be identical, but anyways. Here's a little jog now it's time for the performance test.

The phone on the left-hand side with the white bezel, it's the iPhone 8 and then the iPhone SE is with the black bezel. So let's boot it up and see which one pops up with the Apple logo- and it looks like that's the iPhone SE. On the right hand, side you can also see how the logos are different, colors, as well as the backgrounds, so the first phone to boot up is going to be it's the iPhone 8 and the iPhone. Se was like a couple seconds behind it. Here's a quick spec rundown, the iPhone 8, has an 11 Bionic tip the iPhone.

Se has 813 Bionic tip 2 gigs of RAM on the iPhone 8 and 3 gigs of RAM on the iPhone SE. So opening up settings was pretty much identical and let's go ahead and open up the app stores. Now here we go 1 2 & 3, and it did look like the iPhone SE loaded up just a little faster. It's like not even half a second faster, but you can kind of tell the difference over the video. Maybe next we're going to open up Call of Duty.

They look very close to the iPhone as II does look like it's like a second ahead of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone SE is the first one to load up the game and then there's the iPhone 8 all right. Next up on the list is Temple Run very close. He looks like the iPhone 8. It was actually a little quicker, but you know it's not that big of difference between these two yeah so now with like three apps running in the background they're doing just fine. So let's go ahead and open up the next step, and this is going to be asphalt, 9, looking identical dye phone s ii should load it up faster, and it did, and the iPhone 8 was like a second or so behind it.

Now, let's go ahead and jump into a race and see which one actually loads up the game faster or the race faster. Okay. Here we go we're jumping into a race, and it looks like it's the iPhone SE, thanks to the new 813 Bionic chips. It's like a second faster than the iPhone 8 in terms of gameplay. The iPhone SE definitely looks smoother than the iPhone 8, but the game is still playable on the iPhone 8 I still AM able to enjoy it, but comparing these side-by-side I can definitely tell the difference.

The iPhone SE looks a bit smoother and just runs the overall game much better than the iPhone 8. Here we go next up, sling drift and the iPhone SE II got that one. The next step on the list is injustice. This is also a pretty graphically intense game. Very close.

You know, on a day-to-day basis, I'm not really able to tell the difference between the iPhone 8 and the iPhone SE, since I don't really play a lot of games. All I'm doing is browsing. The web checking emails watching videos, the iPhone 8 does a perfect job with the head. It's pretty much a tie here, let's actually jump into a fight and see which load state faster, and it was the iPhone SE, but not by a lot. Ok, let's go ahead and jump into YouTube very close, but the iPhone 8 did get the dub there in terms of scrolling speed, they're, both the same opening up the phone dialer.

It's quick you're going to be able to make your call at the same time with these phones and for Safari. Let's go ahead and jump into a website and see which one loads it up. First, so we're going to go to Apple's website, and it's kind of hard to tell the difference, but it did look like the iPhone. Se was just a bit quicker: yeah, okay, let's go ahead and open up the camera apps now very close I think that was the iPhone SE. Now we're going to check out the multitasking between these two gigs on the iPhone, eight against three gigs on the iPhone s e so settings they were both ready to go we're going to jump into a game asphalt, 9, and it looks like both the phones have to reload the game, but the iPhone SE definitely blasted through that game and loaded up way quicker than the iPhone 8.

Let's jump back in to Temple Run there's an ad on the SE, while the iPhone 8 did kind of have to load it, but I think that's just like I. Don't know that was hard to tell next. I have slingshot yep the iPhone SE he's got this in the background, ready to go and let's see minion Ron I mean minion rush. The iPhone s she's got that now it's time to check out now, it's time to test out the Wi-Fi speeds on these phones. First, we're going to test out the iPhone 8.

They are both connected to the same 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi. The iPhone 8, is getting a perfect connection, speed right now. You know it's over 200, so let's see 213 down, and we're going to get 343 up. That's pretty crazy! So it's the iPhone s Eastern! Let's see what this gets, and it's not looking bad, let's see if it can hold it up there. It's okay, we got 205 down, and we got 324 down.

So the iPhone 8 has a better connection in this area of my house. I guess, so now we're going to do an end to two benchmark test. I'll be back once the test finishes, so the results are in and the iPhone SE crushes the iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 did finish the test like five minutes faster than the iPhone SE, but looking at the scores, you know you can see it for yourself. So overall the iPhone eight still performs really well.

If you have an iPhone, eight I, don't think you should upgrade to the iPhone SE unless you want the latest and the greatest, but it's a still a great phone.
