Welcome back to the channel, everyone almost dropped. My phone we're gonna, go and compare the iPhone SE 2020 today, Google Pixel, three eight. Now the 3a is almost pretty much like the main selling point or main competitor, I would say in the budget phone besides iOS iPhone, all the stuff I would say the Google Pixel 3a is probably its main competitor in a way because when you go to the store, when you go to Best Buy, when you go to Verizon AT&T T-Mobile, where most probably in this specific price range you're going to see these two phones next to each other in some way. So it's perfect that we can go ahead and compare these and see which one you should pick up, which one is the better phone between these two, and before I get too far into this I am giving away an iPhone SE 20/20 it's going to be the product red one. If you want to enter all you have to do, is subscribed to the channel and follow me on Twitter and Instagram. All those things to link down below, and I'll be picking the winner on May 8th, so keep a lock down the channel, announce the winner on Twitter and Instagram.
So whenever that happens, I'll, let you guys know, but starting off with the price tags of these phones right now you this one cost about 400 the se2 cost about 400 the pixel 3 I think it costs around 300 is. You know around that price tag on Amazon. These things actually I've gone down quite a bit to about 280 dollars. So I'll leave both of these link down below for the cheapest prices that I find on Amazon. So you can get them from there for the cheapest price on Amazon, so you can get the form there and help support the channel at the same time, but starting off with the front I guess we'll start off with the Pitt iPhone SE 2 we have a 4.7 inch IPS panel, it's 750 P, and it's not a bad panel. You know for a budget desk phone.
It's not really that bad I think maybe the only downside of this phone, probably the surrounding bezel, but the Pixel 3a also has some bezel on it too. So it's not like this one's completely, not at fault, but I would say you know, for between these two I mean the SE.2 has a good panel for the most part, and you know it gets a bright enough. You have truth on it, which is really, really cool. You have haptic feedback, which is really nice as well, but other than that I mean there's, really not a huge selling point. It's not like the screen of this phone is like a huge.
You know, full US or anything like that. It's a very, very average screen at best, and especially now in 2020, where we have phones, you know that are going completely. Bezel is for the most part, besides like a hole-punch display, and things like that. It's a very way to have a phone like this, even though you know it is a budget phone but, like I, said, there's budget phones that are doing it. In my opinion- and this is where the pics of 3a comes in line now- I am more curious to see when they pick up for a comes out, because I want to see how that compares to this phone, because that's probably going to be one of its main newer competitors, but as of right now this is the best we got in the lineup of pixel devices, and this phone has a 5.6 inch OLED display, and it's 1080p, which is really cool and I. Think at the end of the day, it's a good panel.
You know, and I think it's better than the iPhone SE twos panel I will kind of hit on you. Maybe some reasons why it's? You know a little weirder but I. Think overall, you know that the Pixel 3a screen looks very good for the most part, what I write there with it, and it's OLED display, which is really cool. Now we still think like the pixel form for Excel, and even the three and 3x I'll have kind of better displays, but this one is good. For the most part, you have a little of S on the top and bottom, but when you look at them side-by-side, you can see that even the bezels are quite a bit bigger on the iPhone and C twos and the phone when you're filling them both in the hand I think maybe you like, and they both feel kind of the same.
The iPhone SU 2 does feel a little more premium because of the glass in the back which we'll get into in a second and when you hold them both in and one doesn't necessarily feel way everything the other. Even though the pixel 3 is much heavier on the bottom. We have a Lightning port and USB type-c, however, on the top of the pixel 3, and we do have a headphone jack, which is really, really cool. So keep that in mind on the back fingerprint sensor on the pixel 3, a single camera setups on both glass back on the iPhone SE 2 with wireless charging, which is really nice and other than that I mean both phones are really you know, budget phones. At the end of the day, you know there's nothing, there's no like standout features of both of these, but the biggest things and takeaways would be.
Yes, you to feels more premium, but I like the screen on the pixel 3 days, a little more. So take that how you will, but that is one thing to keep in mind another cool thing: the iPhone SE 2 does have IP 67 dust and water resistance with the pixel 3/8 doesn't have any water resistance that also another kind of minor thing. Maybe some people were care, maybe what they won't, but just one more thing to keep in mind at the end of the day. Now that really pretty much covers it up on the outside and everything I wanted to hit on. There now go and hit on the software, and this is one of those things.
That's probably going to be one of the more confusing aspects, and it's going to take me a second to kind of you know to explain so, first, with the iPhone SE -. Ok, this phone is going to be lasting for a very long time and on stock software support it's going to be lasting longer than the Pixel 3a. By for this phone is going to be, you know getting probably five years of software support, maybe even more who knows unless Apple you know change their software lifecycle, which they kind of already did with the security updates. They've been doing for the 6 and 5s, so the SE 2 has you know a perfect chance of how lasting the pixel 3/8 and it most definitely probably will, unless the Pixel 3a and stocks on core support, but that is thinking so long-term, and I've kind of realized that, as of right now, both phones are still being supported. There you're still going to be lasting for a couple more years at most.
So as of right now, you know both phones are very good. There are the latest versions both of them. This is on Android 10. This is on Android, 13, 4.1 or whatever it is, and I think at the end of the day, yeah the iPhone SE 2 has probably the better longevity when it comes to stocks up or support, but that pixel 3/8 is still win, be lasting for a very long time as well. It's one beginning at least like a couple more years of support which is really cool, but on top of that to Google and Android lineup has something that the iPhone lineup will probably never have, and Honda's custom rocks and phone software is, like you know, on Samsung's and LG's sociology phones.
Those are really hard to custom around, but Google made it really easy for us to customer on these specific devices. If you have, you know a Google, pixel, 3 or Google Pixel 3 a like this one you'll be doing yourself a huge favor by custom ramming it, and this phone on custom ROMs will last much, much longer. I mean the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 that came out I. Think in like 2012 or something in 2013. The host phones are still getting customer on support on the latest version of Android, so this one on custom ROMs will probably be our lasting this one by far, but stock software, it's tough to give it for the st2.
So it's kind of like a weird thing. Both of them have pros both of them have cons, but at the end the day stock software, this one wins, but longevity-wise and, like you know, custom ROMs. This one probably wants, in my opinion, so that pretty much covers it up there, and I'll go ahead and do a speed test. I might do a full, in-depth one. If you guys want to see it, and I'll do a full in depth.
Camera test eventually as well, but for now I'll do a quick little one. But I'll tell you the specs real, quick, the iPhone SE 2 has that Apple a 13 buy on a chip, hex core CPU and the three gigs of ram, where the Pixel 3a has that Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset, outscore, CPU and Arena 615, GPU and 4 gigs of ram. So let's go and see which one is the best one. Between these two okay, now the Rebecca, let's go and clear all the apps in the background. Ok, let's start okay, let's start loading these apps up.
Let's do Facebook three two one: let's do Twitter three two one and with a pixel three eight one thing about it is that it does for some reason, have a little of a glitch to it. So I think for sure the iPhone SE two one, this one had a little of a glitch which is gonna, throw me off Facebook, three, two one and again pixel or the iPhone SE, two one. By far there. Let's do fruit, ninja three two one, and you can see just the loading into the app I, don't know what even happened with this one. You see how it just glitched up all over the place, the pixel three I mean I, don't know I don't want to hate on it too much, but even at that point look how much smoother was on the pixel on that iPhone.
Se, two, then the pixel three, a and guys I'm going to be messing my voice up the whole entire time. How many you know what I'm talking about Mr. snake versus blocks? Three two one and again to keep in mind the SE two has the same chipset as the eleven and eleven Pro, which were you knowing, one of the best chip says in the market and again the SU two wins getting to some. You kidding play and they're going to be about the same on both for sure. Take you three to one, and again I see two wins eventually on the pixel three we do get into it.
So for sure, I see two wins again: Quizlet three, two one again I see two wins: Temple Run, 2, 3, 2 1. You can see we're already loading into the game, ya see ? and we do eventually get into it. Only Pixel 3a and SU ? definitely won their Pixel 3a, eventually we'll get into it, but for sure it depicts iPhone SE ? one. There. I am just messing this video up, Instagram three, two one.
Actually, the pixel 3 a1 there. That was surprising. Finally, all right, we'll go do to the temple run three two one, the original one. We are in a game here, so we'll, you know, look that one slow light, but for sure I think the sc2 would have probably one that went to let's end it off with Real Racing 3, three, two one, hopefully I, don't have to download around this phone, and the one thing that always throws me off is the collision factor. When you click on an app on the Pixel 3a, there seems to be a huge delay when you click on it and when it actually comes on the Display versus on something like the SE 2, where you click on it, and it pretty much comes at the same time, and here you can see that obviously the SE 2 was the fast one between these 2 as well, and I would definitely tell you yeah.
The SE 2 is the fast one between these 2. For sure, you know there was one time the pixel 3 it was faster, went on Instagram for sure. At the end of the day, I will definitely give you the benefit that what the SE 2 down was the faster home plate 4, and we will be doing a separate speed test for sure. Not do a 4, separate camera test like I say that before, but I briefly had them in this video, you have single camera setups on both a 12.2 megapixel camera on the Pixel 3a and a 12 megapixel camera on the iPhone SE 20/20 and both can do you know pretty good things: 4k 34k, it's 60, actually only SE 2, where you can only do 4k at 30 on the pixel 3 a not a deal-breaker, but you know something to consider at the end that they and for sure I think. Actually it's pretty close here.
You know one doesn't really blow the other one out of the water. They both have some cool things that the other ones, don't they both have things like portrait mode and things like that and I honestly, don't know which one is better. You know I think I have to wait for the full in depth. Camera comparison. It has that.
So if you guys want to see that, like, let me know like this video DM me on Instagram or something, and I'll do it, but this is actually pretty close, so I don't know which one is better. Maybe you know you guys will be able to tell on the front. We have 87 megapixel camera on the SE 2 and an 8 megapixel camera on the Pixel 3a and again these are almost pretty much the same thing. Maybe the SE twos is a little better, but they're almost the same thing at the end of the day, so in terms of the camera inconclusive they're, both almost the same but I, will test them thoroughly and figure it out from there now ending it off with the battery life, we have a 1821 million power battery on the SE 2 and a 3,000-mile per hour battery on the pixel, 3a and I. Think at the end of the day, the Pixel 3a probably has the better battery life.
It has a bigger battery size on top of that, but the SE 2 does have warheads charging, which is extremely impressive, and you know whether you like it or not. That's a battery feature and I. Think I, don't know this is another 50/50 thing. The battery is better pixel 3a, but you do have that wireless charging on the SE too. So if you combine both of these phones, that would've been great but I, don't know this is kind of another, if you think maybe I'll have to test it further to see which one I like more.
But what do you guys think? Which one do you guys think is better when it comes down to it now to kind of some video I'll be honest if you have a Pixel 3a or if you're looking for which one you want to get really, it just depends on what you like. Do you like, iOS ecosystem? Do you like the build quality better, then you might want to pick up an SE 2, but the Pixel 3a I think I might be the better if like, if I had to go pick up? One of these I'll probably end up setting with the Pixel 3a, just because it does have that nicer screen. It has somewhat of a newer design which I, like the cameras, are still perfect on this thing you have that headphone jack, which is cool if you're into it, but the iPhone SE 2 does have that better build quality. It has you know, apples updates which are really cool. You have wireless charging, I, think you have a better feeling phone with the SE 2 as well.
But again this is a really tough one. So hopefully you guys can make a decision based on things that I told you again. If you want to pick either of these phones, up, links will be down in the description. That's pretty much it if you guys have any other questions or anything.
