Hi guys its Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again, and I'm here this morning now, after, like 15 hours with this iPhone SE is my daily driver and what I have for you guys this morning is my 18 watt fast charge test now, I fully use this phone from the moment. I got it until around 2:00 a. m. the battery died off this morning it was at 1%, and then I proceeded to do a quick charge test using the 18 watt charger that came with my iPhone 11 Pro Max here it is, doesn't come included in the box with this phone. So I wanted to see. How does this iPhone SE 20/20 charge up with this 18 watt fast charger from Apple? Let's have a look so there we go guys and with a final charge, time of 1 hour and 44 minutes.
It definitely was very impressive at first, but then we got into the trickle charge and this iPhone SE started going a lot slower now, I would say at 99%. We were at 1 hour and 30 minutes. I was pretty happy with that results, but then it kept going, and it kept going, and the last percent took 15 minutes no joke to charge now. Apple is clearly valuing trickle charge to preserve battery life over getting to that last 1%. Something I don't see in most Android phones.
They typically go through that trickle charge very quick, but it seems like Apple is prioritizing that I, don't think they're fudging. The numbers I really do believe that last 1% took forever to charge now. What does that mean for you? Is it worth picking up this 18 watt, fast charger? I would say for one use case and one alone: it's totally worth it, and that was the 0 to 30 minute charge. I got almost 60 percent battery life when I did charge up to 30 minutes, and so I think, if you're, let's say going out to meet some friends, you're going to take a quick shower. You're going to get freshened up to go from 0 to 60 percent in half an hour is actually pretty impressive.
I haven't seen an iPhone perform like this before and most iPhones typically take well over two hours. My iPhone 11 Pro max takes a little over two hours, even with the 18 watt. Fast charger and 60% charge is gonna. Give you an entire evening worth of usage from a 30-minute charge on this iPhone SE. So definitely not the most impressive, quick charge time that I've seen, but the zero to 60 percent charge.
Time is very much impressive, and that alone would make me say, definitely worth a look at and considering that Apple ships that 5 watt charger in the box. It may just be worth picking up this 18 watt charger, so you can have that flexibility in charging on this iPhone SE, but hit me up in the comments. Any questions you have about this test I'll be happy to respond to them and that's it for this quick video. If you liked it give me that thumbs up and if you love the content of my new tech subscribe to the channel hit, the bell icon for future updates and I will be using this iPhone for the full day and be sharing.
