iPhone 8Plus Unboxing & Setup + Comparisson with iPhone X By Fierce Style

Hello first ups welcome in, and you are all back with me very side. So, if you're new to my channel, my name is Elizabeth, and you can call me CAI, that's why it's called first time, because that wasn't fears. Yes, so um for this video. I have another gadget unboxing to share with you guys. The truth is this. Intro is filmed about two years after I filmed the original video, but nonetheless I decided to still put it out there because some people might have um or might find my video helpful so yeah.

Why not still upload it? Yes, and this video is all about my iPhone 8 plus unboxing and that's the iPhone 8 in white. So without further ado, let's get started, so now I am going to do the unboxing of this iPhone 8 plus in silver. So this is a different kind of unboxing that I usually do, and I think it's better, so you'll be able to see it close up and um yeah. We are using natural light from the window right now. Let's go ahead and start from this one, which is the plastic.

Oh my gosh. This is so exciting and then yes, you can see at the corner it's the box for my iPhone x, which we are going to compare right now. So this is the box for the iPhone 8 plus, and this is the box for the iPhone x and yes, there's a big difference in the size. So I'm just going to put it right here all right, so let's go ahead and check out. What's inside, oh, my goodness, I'm so excited okay! So as usual, it says designed by apple in California, and then we have the paper.

Oh my gosh, I can see the phone right now, so we have the paperwork. The first one says welcome until iPhone, which is some Swedish version for welcome, um, three paperwork and then, of course, the one that used to pick on the place where we're going to insert the sim card, some more paperwork and the two apple stickers that always comes with the iPhones. So there it is. Oh my gosh. I wish that my iPhone 7 plus is still here.

I just sent it to my brother in the Philippines, so I don't have it anymore. We will not be able to compare it, but I can compare it with iPhone x. So all right, so let's go ahead and remove this. Oh, my gosh, the satisfaction of removing this plastic- and that sounds all right now that we have that removed. Let's go ahead and open this beautiful this.

I wanted to hold it side by side with the iPhone x, so this iPhone 8 plus is so nice and um. The feeling is this is almost about the same as the iPhone x. I have here my iPhone x and then this is now the iPhone 8 plus. So if you wanted to see my unboxing of the iPhone x, you can go ahead and see it. I will put the link down below and at the end of this video as well so too much reflection of me for the iPhone x but yeah.

This is how it looks so the camera or the dual camera is um on the landscape mode, on the iPhone 8 plus, which is about the same location of the camera, on the iPhone 7 plus and then for the iPhone x or the iPhone 10. As you see, it is on this side of the phone, and it's on a portrait mode, yes, and then also the logo is about the same everything's about the same, the color um I as I could see, um. Well, it's about the same on the naked eye, but if I would compare it, the silver version of the iPhone x is much more a little darker like a hint darker than the iPhone 8 plus yes, so we really. I really cannot say that they are exactly the same color, but you know doesn't really matter so much so on the side. This is where the big difference is at so on the side of the iPhone 8 plus.

As you see it, looks like this, and then it's um, a silvery metal for the iPhone x or the iPhone 10 and um, since the iPhone 8 plus, is way longer than the iPhone x or the iPhone 10. Then this one under the power button is way up there. So if you have tiny finger like me, look at that. Oh my goodness. That's the reason why I switched to iPhone x or iPhone 10, because it's, it fits my tiny hand perfectly all right.

So there you go, that's the difference here and then on the side and, of course, on the front. The big difference, since we do not have the touch button anymore for the iPhone x and the iPhone 8 plus, of course, still has the touch button. Um. We have the front camera situated on the right after the uh, the speaker over here on the top, and then it's on the left side for the iPhone 8 plus on this side. Not much that I can say but um you can go ahead and see it right now, it's just about the same as the other side, except that I'm the ones that are here for some the mute one and then the volume up and volume down on the top.

Well, it just shows that um, the iPhone 8 plus is wider, but it looks like it's thinner, a little thinner than the iPhone x yeah. It looks like the iPhone 8, but it's a little thinner than the iPhone 10 all right, but I'm going to tell you the specs of it specifically because I'm not really a tech YouTuber. I am just a normal person, who's just unboxing this phone so or comparing this phone. So there you have it and then now, let's go back to the iPhone 8 plus and let's go ahead and open this one, oh my goodness, so it's low battery, then I have to connect this to the charger. Okay and let's go ahead and check how many seconds until it shows okay, we are waiting.

So I didn't know that it was battery empty from the box, because when I unbox my iPhone x, I believe that it's not battery empty. That's why I was able to continue to the setup up to the pairing with my Apple Watch, which I also have an unboxing video, I'm going to put the link at the end of this video for my Apple Watch, unboxing. Yes, um! It has almost um 5 000 views. Now, if I'm not mistaken, I forgot yeah, but I'm going to show that to you, but so there you go um. I started the counting at 4 10, and it opened at like five minutes yeah so there.

Finally, it says hello now: hola, okay, hello and then of course, it says that it doesn't have a sim card and um yeah. Let's just go ahead and put a sim card. I hope that the sim card that I'm gonna place in here is working all right, so grabbing this sim picker and let's try to put a sim card on this side. There. You go well, it's new, so it should be tight and then put the sim card in let's see, okay, there it works English.

Please country will be Sweden. Where are you there? You go saying the language now, so I'm not going to fast-forward this. So you know how many seconds it takes to start up to do like this and that so yeah and then quick start. So it says that if you have an iPhone or eye by running iOS, 11 bring it near to sign in automatically. If you want, you can also set up this iPhone manually, so I did this exact same step, the one on the top, wherein I set it up automatically.

I set up my iPhone 7 plus to my iPhone x automatically on my other video, but this time we are going to set it manually, so I am just going to connect to our internet and I have to go back because I have to put the password. We are connected to the internet, and then I'm just going to hit on next in here. It may take a few minutes to activate your iPhone. It says I wonder how many minutes that is there you go, and now it says, use your fingerprint in place of your passcode or Apple ID for purchases um. Well, I'm not gonna, set it up right now, so I'm just going to put on continue.

Oops, I mean set up Dutch ID later. That's what I mean don't use for now create a passcode okay, I'm going to do that right now, okay and then there you go, so it says absent data restore from iCloud, backup, restore from iTunes, backup set up as a new iPhone or move data from android. I think I should do that, but let's just go with set up a new iPhone, so you can go ahead and set up a new Apple ID. If um you's your first time to have an apple phone, then you can go ahead and do this so yes, what I did is that I put the Apple ID- I just type it in manually, and then it says here: Apple ID verification, a message with the verification code has been sent to your other devices, running iOS, 10 dash from mac, OS, sierra or later, please enter the code to continue and then on my other device, which is my iPhone x. This is what I see in here: Apple ID sign in requested and my email, and then your Apple ID is being used to sign in this area, and then I'm just going to click.

Allow and then the verification code I'm just going to need to go ahead and enter that it's like one, six, eight, nine, nine, five and then okay and there you go so the terms that we never read, so I'll just skip on that. It may take a few minutes again to set up your Apple ID, but it doesn't really just takes a few seconds and yes, the waiting game is here. Okay and now it says, location services enable location services, okay and then now it's Apple Pay. I can just go ahead and skip that setup later in the wallet, so now it says some finish on new iPhone. Give this iPhone near your new iPhone.

While your information is transferred and there so it says, enter passcode of your other iPhone. Your account is protected by the passcode of your other iPhone. Your passcode is encrypted and cannot be read by apple. So this is it and then there you go. So I just click on ok for this one, because it says on my iPhone s or iPhone x, that um finish on your iPhone, and then I just click.

Ok, all right and then on this phone it says, restore your apps and data. You can use the iCloud backup of first, I iPhone x to restore your apps blah blah blah and that my last backup was in the 3rd of January. Oh, well. I can actually go ahead and just put choose other backup or don't restore for a change and then um. I have here restored from iCloud backup, restore from iTunes setup as new iPhone move data from android.

So I'm just going to use set up a new as new iPhone. It may take a few minutes, but I'm still going to use this Apple ID. So I'm going to go ahead and sign in, and she says it may take a few minutes um, and then I have to go. Do this again? Oh goodness, oops don't share, continue and then meet the new home button. Make your iPhone experience even more personal by choosing the click.

That's right for you get started customize later in settings. So I'm just going to go ahead and put customize later. Um choose a view standard or resumed and choose how you would like to view iPhone. Zoom shows larger text and controls standard fits more on screen. You can change it anytime in settings, so let's just go with standard and then next and then now.

Finally, we are here at welcome to iPhone so get started and there we go. We are at the home page and um. This is how it looks, of course, what we are going to go ahead and test right now is the camera so going back to my iPhone x, I just noticed that it says here: your Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new iPhone. If you recently signed in to fierce iPhone, you can ignore this notification, so I'll just click. Ok, all right and now let the battle of the camera begin.

So I'm going to go ahead and open this phone, and then we go check, let's click on the camera, and then we allow okay. So there you go as you see well it's bright and then for the iPhone x um. It is more true to its color. I'm going to remove that live in there, so a little difference with the camera um. I actually, let's see, okay, I actually both put them on the maximum brightness, okay, but yeah.

So if you see that I don't know which one you like, if you want it like um brighter like this, then of course the iPhone 8 plus is perfect for you. But if you want it true to its color, then the iPhone x is giving much justice to the camera there all right and then, if we're going to do um a selfie, and then you're going to be able to see me all right. So let's do a selfie, and this is me filming with a Samsung camera, a Samsung phone. Yes, all right! So of course, um. We have a bigger screen with um the iPhone 8 plus, but it's I feel that it's still a little brighter okay and then um.

This is for the iPhone x and this is for the iPhone 8 plus so yeah. We can see a difference between the two cameras, all right so there, so I wouldn't be them doing a lot of um crazy things with the iPhone x for this one, because it's already a very long video, but I just wanted to unbox the oh, rather the iPhone 8 plus I just wanted to go ahead and unbox. It set it up to until we get to this menu, and then I'm compared a little with the iPhone x or the iPhone 10. So going back to the iPhone 8 plus. This is how it looks on the home page.

These are the defaults and then, of course, these are the other defaults and stuff like that. So I'm also going to do a different video on setting it up with the Apple Watch, which we have right here yeah. So my thoughts on this unboxing is that um. Well, it's almost the same as the iPhone 7 plus um, just a different feel, because it's a different material that is used for the back um, the camera. I don't know um.

I think I, like the camera better off the iPhone 8 plus with um compared to the iPhone x um. It depends on what I want. I want it. So if I wanted to um go with a very crisp colors, or I wanted to stay true to the things that I'm taking photos off or the things that I'm taking videos- often I could go with this one but um for beauty shots. Then I would rather get um or use the iPhone 8 plus.

So there you go. So that's the difference in the size as well. So it's like this. If um, I put them on top of each other, so yeah. If you are used to having big and long phones, then go with the iPhone 8 plus.

But if you wanted smaller phones, then um the iPhone x or the iPhone 10 could be the best choice for you, or maybe you can go ahead and try the iPhone 8, but for the iPhone 8, the camera is just a single camera. It's not a dual camera, just like the iPhone 10 and then the iPhone 8 plus and the iPhone 7 plus. So there you go um for more specs of this one.
