iPhone 5S vs iPhone 8 Plus Speed Test! By The Apple Buyer

The big showdown guys the big showdown. What's up guys, it is I the Apple, via here today, Mac the brand-new video for you all, and today we are going to be doing a speed test between the iPhone 5s here and the iPhone 8, plus it's kind of sad that this phone doesn't even fit inside the whole. Like camera thing like if I hold it this way it like doesn't even fully fit and select the camera shot. So I'm, sorry about that, if it triggers any of you anyway, though, this is obviously an iPhone 8 plus here we'll go ahead and show you the 3d touch here. If I can do that, this is an 8 plus you can tell even by the design here the whole glass finish. This is a 5s because I'm dropping everything.

Now this is obviously a 5s because of the no SC labels here, and it's just a potato as well and which iPhone do you guys think will win the iPhone 5s or at the 8 plus I'm going to bet my money that the iPhone 5s is going to win just kidding. We all know who's going to win here, but let's just see how big of a difference iOS 11 is on the worst device and the best device. So our first test is to go ahead and shut the phone's down and do a boot up test. This is probably going to be the most notable difference between the two devices. So go ahead and shut them.

Each down, I will say the eight plus does boot up pretty fast, so you know shut down, and we'll let them shut down. The two devices have completely shut down now, so we'll go ahead and showing them on and see which one's wins, we'll go ahead and do a time-lapse as well, so 3, 2 1. Ah, oh I, know ok, the 8 plus we'll still win anyway. Just as I expected, the 5s took a century and a half to boot up for the 5s. So it's a very slow phone, very slow boot up, the 8 plus I will say it did like.

Once it came to the home screen that first animation, it did lag ONS there, but that wasn't a big deal, because you could have started using the phone right out of the gate. Unlike the 5s here, which took a century and a half to even get to the home screen. Anyway, though, you can go ahead and look at the multitasker here. Nothing is open, so we'll go ahead and test a few apps. The first app that will do is the camera, so 3 2 1 and the 8 plus did win there by a large margin will do the weather app in 3 2 1 oops that 3d touch is gonna.

Get me swear, stop 5s, stop being a piece of junk: ok, 3, 2, 1, 8, plus 1, again clock 3, 2, 1, 8, plus 1 again will do the app store, 3, 2 1 know that 3d touch LMAO, yup, 8 plus 1 once again, and then we'll do iTunes and 3 2 1 get up the 8 plus 1 again, and then we'll do settings 3, 2, 1, 8, plus just snapped into that music.3 2 1, 8, plus just snap into that 2, and then we'll go ahead and do a few 30 third-party apps, some good third-party apps to go ahead and test is the Instagram application, so basically Instagram telegram we're not going to telegram actually Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, and then we'll go ahead and try out Geek bench 4 and, as I expected, the 8 plus took the cake here again this phone just literally snaps, into everything: YouTube 3, 2 1, the 8 plus just snaps. Just like that. Hmm, it's ready to go, so we'll go ahead and do Twitter so 3 2 1, all right again. The A+ just snapped into the app and the 5s is just lagging behind as usual, and then we'll just go ahead and do a geek bench test. I didn't even bother to show you guys the specs of these phones or tell you, but you can look here, including the iOS version.

Both of them are running iOS 11 point 0.3, this obviously being a 5s again. These are the specs here: Apple A7 1.3 gear Hertz, with one gig of ram and then apple an 11 Bionic. At 2.2, 3 gigahertz with 3 gigs of ram some pretty big differences here, so we'll go ahead and benchmark the CPU so 3-2, or what my focus needs to be fixed all right, three, two one, and we'll go ahead and do a time-lapse of that you- and this just goes to show you how big of a potato the iPhone 5s is compared to the 8 plus the 8 plus, no matter what will cream the 5s out of the water. It is to be expected of that. To I mean the 5s is an almost five-year-old phone, so it's not like I'm saying the 5s should be better than that.

I mean it's almost five years old. What do you expect, but still it goes to show you how far Apple has come with their iPhones? Since 2013 I will say this one. The iPhone 5s here does show its age. It is an old phone there's, no denying that in this video there was living proof of that in every aspect. The 8 plus is just a better phone.

The numbers don't lie. They really don't. This phone is an absolute powerhouse and I have to, say just from the little of time that I've used of this phone I'm really excited to have my own I'll be coming out with a camera test fairly soon.
