What's going on everybody, this is ultimate device AIDS and today, in this video, we're going to be doing a battery drain test between the iPhone 12 Pro the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 10s. These devices are the latest three generations of apple's pro lineup of phones and, again we're gonna, be testing out the battery life of these devices in this video. Now it's definitely worth mentioning that you should take this video with somewhat of a grain of salt, as, of course, there's a variety of factors that contribute to how long your device's battery will last, of course, the tasks you're performing on the device, the age of the battery, the screen, brightness and so on. That being said, it's definitely worth mentioning that all the devices that I'm using in this video are brand new, so the batteries are in tip-top shape on all of these devices and with the 12 pro on the right, the 11 pro in the middle and the 10s on the left. First things. First, I want to show you guys that the battery capacity on all these devices is at 100, as you can see here.
Also, auto brightness is disabled, as you can see on all of them, and the true tone feature is also disabled on all of them, and I set the brightness to 50 using siris on all these devices and, as you can see here, that is reflected inside the display settings as well. All these devices are currently plugged into a power strip, and they're all at 100, as you can see. So what we're going to do is we're going to turn off the power strip, and we'll remove the charging cables all right. So let's go ahead and kick things off with two and a half hours of YouTube video streaming, so we're just going to load up the same YouTube, video on all three of these devices, and we're gonna, let it stream for two and a half hours, and we're also going to be using an iPhone 7 here to keep track of time. And once again, as I said earlier, you should definitely take this test with somewhat of a grain of salt, as of course, in addition to factors like the age of the battery in your device and the iOS you're running on your device.
A large portion of your battery life experience depends on what you do on your device, but in this video we're just going to be doing a few tasks on all these devices and seeing how long each of them can hold a charge, and after two and a half hours of YouTube, video streaming checking in on the batteries, the 12 pro is at 89 percent. The 11 pro is at 91 and the 10s is at 83, so all are relatively close with the 11 pro in the lead, then the 12 pro and then the 10s. Next up, we're going to be doing one hour of gaming in grand theft, auto San Andreas, so we're just going to load up the game here, get into the game itself, so we're just gonna. Keep the game open and running on all these devices for an hour and checking in the 12 pro is at 51. The 11 pro is at 62 and the 10s is at 50, so the 11 pro is currently beating the 12 pro and the 10s by about 10 points.
Next up we're going to do a video recording test, and I am going to change the recording quality to 4k at 60 frames per second on all these devices. However, other than that, I'm leaving all the default camera settings on all these devices as they are, so we're going to record 4k 60 frames per second video for 15 minutes all right. So after the video recording test, the 12 pro is at 41. The 11 pro was at 55 and the 10s is at 42, so the 11 pro is still in the lead and the 12 pro actually dropped.10 from just 15 minutes of 4k 60 video recording the new HDR video feature, that's enabled by default on the 12 pro might be draining more battery when recording video. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
Next up we're going to head over to safari, and we're just going to sit on theverge. com on all these devices for about 36 minutes and checking back in the 12 pro is at 37. The 11 pro is at 52 and the 10s is also at 37, so the 11 pro continues to lead without a problem, while the 12 pro and the 10s are tied at 37 and next up. We're going to run about 40 minutes of asphalt, 9 on all of these devices. So we're just going to get into the game here, and again we're going to keep it active for 40 minutes all right and after 40 minutes of asphalt, 9, the 12 pro is at 29.
The 11 pro is at 37 and the 10s is at 18 and all right. At this point, I'm going to set the brightness on all these devices to 100 using siris, and we're going to go back to the video streaming test. For the remainder of this video and we'll see how long each of these devices can hold a charge for and checking in about 42 minutes into this final round of YouTube video streaming. The 12 pro is at 22, the 11 pro is at 29 and the 10s is at 10, so you can see there. The 12 pro and 11 pro are pretty close at this point, with the 11 pro still being in the lead and about 1 hour and 24 minutes into the final video streaming test.
The 10s has died and the total amount of on screen time in this test was 6 hours and 37 minutes for the 10s and checking in on the 12 pro and 11 pro at about 1 hour and 25 minutes into the final video streaming test. The 12 pro was at 14 and the 11 pro was at 23 and about 2 hours and 43 minutes into the final video streaming test. The 12 pro has died and the total amount of screen time for the 12 pro in this test was 7 hours and 55 minutes and checking in on the 11 pro a minute later. It's still going strong with 11 and finally about 3 hours and 51 minutes into the final video streaming test. The 11 pro has died with a total on-screen time in this test of nine hours and four minutes.
The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 pro max do have a reputation of being absolute beasts in regard to battery life, and that was certainly reflected in this test. Although that being said, as I mentioned before, there's a lot of variables contributing to how well battery life is on a device. So mileage certainly varies, but if you guys use any of these devices, let me know down below in the comment section what your experience has been like in regard to battery life, but alright, everybody that wraps it up for this video. Thank you so much for watching many more videos on the way so stay tuned for this peace out.
